Chapter 198 - Chapter 198

Hecate was in a cheerful mood, imagining the wonderful picture of Hermes embodying the image of a 'humanoid lighthouse', when a voice with a slight hesitation and uncertainty sounded behind her.

"Um... Hecate..."

Hecate turned and saw the little love god, Eros, flapping her wings and hovering in the air, her small hands nervously twisting the corners of her robe, her face slightly lowered and earnest.

Since she was asking for help, she even suppressed her iconic 'female imp' tone.

"Huh?" Hecate raised an eyebrow, and her heart immediately filled with vigilance, but her face displayed a kind, elder-like expression.

"What's the matter, little Eros?"

Eros bit her lower lip, as if she had made a decision, and flew closer, her voice lowered from embarrassment: "You... you're the goddess of magic and witchcraft, and you know the strangest things. Do you know any magic or potions that could... make me more... more like a real love god?"

As she spoke, she couldn't help but look down at her flat figure, like a child's, a clear sign of frustration and inferiority on her face.

Obviously, the stimulation she had received in the bath earlier, and the stark contrast with the other goddesses, were still deeply troubling her.

Hecate looked at her like this, a flicker of barely perceptible mockery in her eyes, but her face immediately shifted to a heroic expression: "I understand you."

She pounded her own chest, which was similarly 'like an ironing board', and declared:

"Of course there is! Such a small problem, I can solve it!"

When Eros heard this, her eyes instantly lit up, but then a note of suspicion appeared.

She looked Hecate up and down, at a figure that could be described as 'mutually sympathetic', and the meaning in her eyes was obvious: if you really have such magic, why don't you use it yourself?

Catching Eros's suspicious glance, Hecate felt an inexplicable flash of anger.

She explained crossly:

"Hmph! Do you think this is some kind of simple transfiguration? The forms of gods are shaped by their own divinity and laws! When a form is practically finalized, it's almost impossible to easily change it with external forces! At best, like some guys, they transform into different avatars to bluff!"

She was implying something, possibly referring to Zeus, who used shapeshifting techniques.

Eros was even more puzzled, her small face full of question marks: "I know that, but what does that have to do with me... my figure?"

She pointed at her flat chest.

Hecate took a deep breath, trying to sound like an erudite tutor instructing a dull student:

"This is serious! Haven't you noticed? Since your birth, you have maintained the appearance of this immature girl, with almost no signs of growth or change?"

Eros was stunned for a moment, and thinking about it, it was true.

She had never had a significant growth stage like some other young gods.

"Why?" Hecate asked rhetorically and then made a statement that shook Eros's heart.

"Because the way you were born was incredibly special! You were born from the forced condensation of the divine power of Eros by His Majesty Hades. However, the independent individual that formed your 'Eros' only used the 'majority' of the erotic divine power that was taken at that time, not the 'entirety'!"

She deliberately emphasized the difference between 'majority' and 'entirety'.

"So..." Hecate drew out the word, watching the flame of hope gradually ignite in Eros's eyes, like a guide leading a lost lamb.

"In essence, you are both 'incomplete' and 'complete'. 'Complete' in that you are truly an independent god; 'incomplete' in that you do not carry the full source of the divine power of Eros. Your form is fixed in this underdeveloped appearance, which is the embodiment of this 'incompleteness' in form!"

Eros's mind raced, pondering Hecate's thoughts, her eyes growing brighter and brighter: "So... so as long as I find a way to complete myself, to find the missing part of the source of the divine power of Eros, I can... I can truly 'grow' and become... become curvaceous? Just like Freyja and the others?"

Her voice trembled slightly with excitement, as if she could already see her future voluptuous and charming appearance.

"Theoretically, that's the case," Hecate nodded inscrutably, but inwardly she sneered.

Complete? Easier said than done!

Having received this 'precise' method and a glimmer of hope, Eros's former depression and inferiority instantly vanished!

She once again became the proud little Eros, and even became more energetic, having seen the dawn of hope.

"Hmph! You're still useful after all!" She lifted her chin towards Hecate, her tone returning to its former brashness.

"When I find a way to complete myself and become perfect, don't you envy me then!"

Having tossed out this taunt, Eros didn't even bother to ask more questions about how to 'complete' herself; she couldn't wait to flap her wings and, with a 'whoosh', transformed into a pink-gold streamer and soared into the distant sky, clearly intending to immediately begin her great journey in search of the 'lost origin'.

Watching Eros disappear into the sky, the disguised seriousness and 'mentor' expression on Hecate's face instantly crumbled, replaced by a bright smile mixed with pity and gloating.

"Oh, I really believe it..." she shook her head and whispered to herself, her voice full of mockery.

"Silly girl, didn't you think that if 'completion' were possible, His Majesty Hades would have done it? Since he decided to let you be born in this 'incomplete' form, it means that he either cannot easily make you 'complete' or doesn't intend to. The missing part of the divine power of Eros was either used by him elsewhere or placed under a ban that even I cannot see."

She paused, and her smile became more meaningful, even carrying a slight coldness that pierced fate.

"What's more... Eros, you are now a self-aware god. If you truly seek and successfully reclaim the divine power of Eros, which belongs to the category of primordial gods..."

Hecate looked in the direction Eros had disappeared, as if seeing the futility of her doomed end.

"That would mean that now it's not 'you' possessing the complete power, but the primordial god Eros, the 'Eros', returning within your vessel."

"At that time, could the independent consciousness of 'you' still exist?"

Obviously, the 'path of hope' Hecate pointed out for Eros did not end in abundance and perfection, but most likely in absorption into nothingness or eternal futility.

"I'm really looking forward to it..." Hecate chuckled, turned, and began planning her tracking route, feeling more and more pleased with herself.
