Chapter 166: Headstrong Velber
[You took Velber from Manaka Sajyou's hands, but you were curious how she managed to catch it.]
[Manaka Sajyou told you that this mass of Black Mist tried to control her but suffered a backlash. Afterward, she happened to obtain its information from Velber's side and realized this fellow was your enemy, so she presented it to you as a token of allegiance.]
[You accepted Manaka Sajyou's token of allegiance and, according to her request, appointed her as your new Assistant.]
[(Planetary Core, Activate.)]
[After capturing Velber, you directly utilized the power of the complete Planetary Core to forcibly read Velber's database, and you finally learned what this fellow had done.]
[After it split and fled from your hands, its remaining consciousness headed directly toward the planet.]
[Because its split-off flight didn't allow it to go too far, it activated a stealth mode. Therefore, neither you nor the monster that had previously devoured its main body and multiple Starships—the "460"—could discover it immediately, allowing it to escape.]
[From this perspective, Velber is indeed very difficult to capture.]
[However, it did something truly absurd with Manaka Sajyou: it attempted to control her, the Root Princess.]
[Through Manaka Sajyou's Magic Circuits, it attempted to directly control her soul.]
[But Manaka Sajyou's Magic Circuits are directly connected to the Root.]
[Velber reached the Root.]
[The Root is located at a certain position in the universe.]
[Velber can survive in the universe, but arriving at the Root in such a manner and with such a purpose resulted in it slamming head-first into the Root. The backlash made it even weaker than before.]
[The only reason it didn't die outright was because Manaka Sajyou wanted to capture it alive.]
People who attempt to reach the Root are not uncommon.
There are those who want to take the normal route, those who want to take shortcuts, and even those who want to take the long way around... But to try and control the Root? That was truly... for a moment, one wouldn't know whether to call it arrogance or stupidity.
Velber really is a hard-headed one!
Moreover, Noah realized that the simulation had exposed something to him.
That was the fact that the Root is located at a certain position in the universe.
Thinking carefully, it seemed that was indeed the case... After everything flowed out from the Root, it left. According to the descriptions of the Root in the Nasuverse, the Root being in the universe seemed... plausible?
But if that were the case, it involved another problem.
Namely, those Magi who wanted to reach the Root... especially the participants of the Holy Grail War.
After the Holy Grail was contaminated, based on the way the Grail fulfills wishes, if you made a wish to the Grail to reach the Root, wouldn't the Grail just toss you directly off the Earth and into space?
How tragic. They'd be stranded.
If it weren't contaminated, one could still study the Third Magic, but once contaminated...
Thinking of this, Noah shook his head slightly.
These were just passing thoughts; he soon returned his attention to the simulation.
[After reading Velber's database, you obtained many things from it.]
[For example, the technology to manufacture Starships, the technology to prey upon civilizations, and even the technology to design Umbral Star Vanguards.]
[The technology possessed by Velber was minuscule compared to the civilization that created it, but such technology was quite abundant and novel to you.]
[Because you are the Planetary Core itself, these technologies are very easy for you to master.]
[The only problem is that with currently known materials, it is difficult for you to build Starships and Umbral Star Vanguards.]
[Therefore, after researching for a long time, you came up with an idea.]
[Using the Umbral Star model with yourself as the core, and following the pattern of a Pantheon, you would create a guard squad similar to Umbral Star Vanguards. Afterward, you would use this to construct Divine Artifacts similar to Starships that could be manufactured with currently known materials. Using the planet's Age of Gods as the core, you would forge the "Earth Umbral Star Cluster."]
[Your vision was not particularly difficult for you to achieve, so taking this as an opportunity, you formally proposed the creation of the Knights of the Round Table.]
[In your concept, with you as the core, your Assistants would be the support team located near the core. Further out would be the Knights of the Round Table, followed by the Maid Squad, the Enforcement Knights, the Fairy Knights, and so on—existing as the tendrils of the Umbral Star Vanguards and the auxiliary core.]
[The Assistants are the auxiliary core, the Knights of the Round Table are the Umbral Star Vanguards, and the subsequent Maid Squads and other knight orders serve as the tendrils. You felt this model was just right.]
[Meanwhile, special units like White (Vortigern) and Black (Altera) would serve as independent ships outside the star cluster, responsible for individual suppression and the flanking battlefields of the Umbral Star Cluster.]
[No one else had any objections to the model you proposed, and so you began to deploy this model using existing materials.]
Seeing this, Noah also began to think carefully...
He thought for a moment; since he was almost certain to obtain the tags in this simulation, this model was actually feasible.
However, an "Earth Umbral Star Cluster"...
If civilizations from beyond the stars saw this, they might think it was a force constructed by the planet itself to suppress other civilizations.
Furthermore, after seeing his simulated self propose this concept, Noah became clear about his simulated self's intentions.
To directly label it as the Earth Umbral Star Cluster and establish it in such a manner.
Then he understood.
He intended to use the creation of the King of the World's Grand Crown as an opportunity to simultaneously suppress other nations and merge other Pantheons.
He was currently the Mediterranean Pantheon itself because Rome was a nation in the Mediterranean region.
But that was the old name.
If he pushed forward all the way and became the King of the World, then the Pantheons of other civilizations would naturally have to be merged—unifying mythology was the first thing he needed to do.
When that time came, he would naturally no longer be just the Mediterranean Pantheon.
At that time, he would be the Age of Gods itself!
Regarding Britain's inevitable fate of destruction, he had actually been considering it all along.
He intended to become the King of the World, essentially planning to use the King's Blessing to redistribute the Divine Era Blessing to the entire world.
It wasn't about conforming to the Human Order, nor was it about returning to the Age of Gods; it was about letting the Divine Era Blessing descend upon modern humanity once more.
When he first proposed this concept, he did think that if the Divine Era Blessing returned to the whole world, it felt like new gods might be born.
However, according to the vision in this simulation, there seemed to be no problem.
By then, all gods would be himself. The world would not give birth to new gods; it would only provide him with new Divinity.
He himself would be the Age of Gods, the core of the Earth Umbral Star Cluster, and the King of the World!
Thinking of this, Noah smiled.
"A brand new model. Just thinking about it is interesting."
As for those fellows hiding in the Inner Sea of the Planet who might plan to jump out later... If they behaved themselves and stayed hidden in the Inner Sea of the Planet, Noah wouldn't bother with them.
But if they didn't...
Then he wouldn't even give them the chance to linger on in their last gasps!
