Chapter 1 - Unnamed

"The Clever Fox"

Chapter 1: The Smart Fox in the Forest

In a deep green forest, there lived a fox named Chiku. Chiku was very clever, but he never used his intelligence to hurt anyone. All the animals in the forest respected him because whenever there was a problem, Chiku always tried to find a smart solution.

One morning, Chiku saw many animals gathered near the river. Everyone looked worried. When he went closer, he found out that there was food on the other side of the river, but a dangerous crocodile was said to be living there.

Chiku thought, "Being afraid won't help. First, I need to understand the real problem."

Chapter 2: The Fear of the Crocodile

The deer, the rabbits, and even the bear were afraid to cross the river. Everyone said, "That crocodile is very dangerous!"

Chiku sat near the river and quietly observed. He noticed that the crocodile was not moving much at all. Then Chiku thought, "Maybe he is not as dangerous as everyone thinks."

Chiku went closer to the river and called out,

"Mr. Crocodile, do you really eat everyone who comes here?"

The crocodile smiled and said,

"No, my friend. I just lie here in the sun. But everyone gets scared when they see me!"

Chapter 3: A Test of Intelligence

Chiku understood that it was all a misunderstanding. But he also knew that the animals would not believe it easily.

So he said to the crocodile,

"Let's do a small test. You stay quietly on one side, and I will help the animals cross the river."

The crocodile agreed.

First, Chiku took the rabbit across. Then the deer, and then the monkey. Everyone saw that the crocodile did nothing at all. Slowly, the animals stopped being afraid.

They said, "Oh! The crocodile is actually friendly!"

Chapter 4: A New Trouble

But the story did not end there. A few days later, a cunning fox named Dhushor came to the forest. He could not tolerate Chiku's popularity.

Dhushor secretly told the animals,

"Chiku is too clever. One day, he will get all of you into big trouble!"

Some animals started to doubt Chiku again. Fear slowly returned to the forest.

Chiku understood what was happening, but he did not get angry. He thought, "Getting angry will not help. I must prove the truth with my actions."

Chapter 5: The Victory of Truth

Chiku gathered everyone and said,

"Let's work together today. There is a big mango tree on the other side of the river. Let's bring some fruit from there."

All the animals went together. The crocodile helped them cross the river, the monkey picked the mangoes, and the deer carried the fruits.

When everyone saw how easily things worked when they helped each other, they understood that Dhushor had lied.

Dhushor felt ashamed and left the forest.

The animals said,

"Chiku is not only clever, he is also kind!"

Chiku smiled and said,

"Cleverness is good only when it is used to help everyone."
