Ch.3 Sato's normal day (2)
I make a pit stop to the conbini before returning home and preparing,because i want some things to preserve energy during the practice.
As I'm getting closer to the conbini,a Koki-girl bumps into me and runs away without looking at me or even saying sorry.
Then a boy comes after a few seconds but stops in front of me,gray eyes are flashing angrily at me.
It's the guy of this morning.
"What're you looking at?"
"…"
"Do you deign to give me an answer?"
"…"
I'm still recovering from the shock of that girl touching me…
"HEY!"
"!"
"I've got your attention now?"
"Yes…"
Gosh,I need to move,I'm going to be late for sure…
But I can't just ignore him,I would be rude right?
"You didn't see anything,am I clear enough for you?"
"W-what i wasn't s-supposed to s-see?
"Perfect"
And he starts walking away at a fast pace.
Scary,maybe I bumped accidentally into a breakup?
Well I should move,if I don't Kokoga-senpai is going to kill me for being late.

Outside the park volleyball court 4:56 P.M.
"Hey Sato"
"Yo Oisin"
"Is Kokoga here?"
"No,i bet he's late"
"Should we start without him"
"Definitely"
We're both dressed with a t-shirt and shorts,though Oisin's t-shirt has a four-leaf clover print,I gifted that to him for his last birthday.
He loves it.
He brought his volleyball so we could play even without Kokoga.
We started fooling around a bit,spiking in each other's faces,doing shit we weren't allowed to do during practice, you know teenagers stuff.
"Tanaka-Kun?"
I froze on the spot because a girl's voice was calling my name.
i turn around and see a Koki-girl looking at me,then i notice she's Shiraishi-san
Why was she here?
"Tanaka-kun, I didn't know you played volleyball!"
Something in my mind,something I hid with all my strength, came back to light.
laughs,a girl's voice mocking me,then a push.
Engine noises,tires screeching and a crash.
…
"Hey,he's opening his eyes"
"?"
I mumble,I'm sitting against the field fence.
"What… happened?"
Shika's Pov
Tanaka-kun finally said something.
"Dude you scared the shit out of me,you passed out"
"Oh…"
"'Oh' my ass Sato"
That is said by a guy with red hair.
There is a blonde guy handing Tanaka-kun a bottle of water.
They're all so tall… are they his friends? Maybe classmates?
"Thanks man…"
He starts drinking. I look at his lips getting wet from the water,so hot…
WAIT?!? What am I thinking? control yourself Shika!
"Emh…"
They all turn to look at me.
I feel like I am being judged…
"Sorry… for barging in like that…"
"Don't worry,this happens sometimes. doctors say I might have PTSD,Probably it's not your fault"
Ptsd? I am a horrible person… Maybe he experienced something traumatizing because of me…
"B-but you fainted after you saw me!"
"Naah don't worry,the only one right now who needs to worry is Sato. Right Kokoga?"
"Yeah"
They both turn and look angrily at Tanaka-Kun.
He finally gets up and gives them a confused gaze.
"Emh… sorry for passing out?"
They don't seem satisfied and then…
"WHYYY? Tanaka knows a Koki-girl!! It's unfair…"
"Sato, why didn't you tell me you knew a girl from Kokiwashi?"
The blonde guy falls on his knees,he has a depressed look.
The redhead instead grabs Tanaka-Kun by his sleeve.
So they were angry for this reason… strange…
After this my guilt flew out the window.
"Get off of me you two,it was a shock for me too"
"What, you didn't know Sato?"
"Yeah I did not know,happy now?"
"But Tanaka has never been popular with girls… What is your relationship with this girl?"
I notice they don't use honorifics.
The blonde guy gets up again and looks at Tanaka like an angry dog
"I just helped when some Yankees were harassing her. You two should introduce yourself,it's rude talking about someone you don't even know the name"
They stare at each other blankly.
Then they leave Tanaka-Kun alone and bow at me.
"Koganegawa Kotaro you can call me Kokoga"
"Hayashi Oisin nice to meet"
"Shiraishi Shika,pleased to meet you"
"So… what are you doing here Shiraishi-San?"
Hayashi-san asks me.
"I was just returning home,when I thought I saw someone familiar,so I wanted to see if i was right.and what were you planning to do?"
"We were planning to train a little for tomorrow tournament"
"You play volleyball? So cool! there's a Volleyball club in my school too…"
When I mention my school's volleyball club they all make an offended face.
"You know what school we go to?"
For the first time, I feel a bit intimidated by Tanaka-kun's face.
Satoshi's Pov
"N-no i don't know"
"Kinzoku tech high,you shouldn't hang with people like us"
"Sato you shouldn't be harsh…"
"We will get in trouble too,so please go home"
"Y-yeah maybe you're right…"
She turn around and goes off waving at us
When she is far enough Kokoga glares at me
"Sato i know you dislike Kokiwashi but you went too far"
"I don't care about Koki,and I was right when I said she won't benefit from hanging with us"
They stay silent.
I don't want to cause problems to Shiraishi because:
You're an ogre,you're scary and no one would ever trust you at first glance.
With this body you can't be a normal guy.
You made the right choice staying away from her.
"Sato,I know you don't really get along with girls,but she didn't seem scared…"
"And she makes a mistake by doing that"
I snap.
Kokoga tries to calm us down.
"Guys we should start training,and i got bands for your hair so they won't block your field of view"
Yeah he's right,my hair tends to go in front of my eyes when we play,same goes for Oisin.
We start training,but in my mind still remains the doubt of Shiraishi…
