Chapter 65 - The Fields of Glory

Where the emerald grass is trimmed and neat,

And the echoes of history move with the feet.

From the cobblestone streets to the stadium light,

The heart of the Britain beats for the fight.

The roar of the crowd at the Premier League game,

Where legends are born and they carve out a name.

From the red of the North to the blue of the coast,

The "Beautiful Game" is the one they love most.

Then the thud of the willow on a Cricket ball,

As the shadows of summer begin to fall.

A game of patience, of white and of green,

The most elegant battle that the world has seen.

At Wimbledon's gates, where the strawberries grow,

The rackets are swinging, both high and then low.

A silence so heavy on the Centre Court grass,

As the shadows of champions silently pass.

In the mud of the Rugby pitch, fierce and bold,

A story of grit and of passion is told.

The oval ball flying through the mist and the rain,

A test of the muscle, the heart, and the brain.

From the Silverstone tracks where the engines scream,

To the rowing on Thames, like a quiet dream.

The UK is a playground, a stadium grand,

Where sport is the soul of the ancient land.
