After seeing his status, Sujil felt a surge of excitement. if he studied hard every day, levelling up would be easy. The bell rang signaling the end of lunch. The fifth period was chemistry. chubby man, Akash entered the classroom and greeted the students.
"Good afternoon, students."
"Good afternoon, sir"
The students greeted in unison.
Sujil expression grew complicated because chemistry is one of the subject he usually struggle with. The equations are very difficult to memorize. he didn't know how much study points he would receive compared to other subjects. Until now, all other subjects he learned had earned him one study point but in chemistry , he did not have the confidence to get one study point. Even so, he was determined to get at least 0.5 point.
Akash started teaching students about the chemical reactions. Some students had already started to enter their dreamland. Sujil also tried his hardest not to sleep, However, after some time, he too drifted to sleep. Akash noticed that several students are sleeping in his class and yelled furiously,
"you little brats, wake up it's not your bedroom for God's sake."
Students who were asleep all startled and woke up abruptly.
"What am I going to do with you ? The public exams are only three months from now on, you still have the nerve to sleep in the class."
The chemistry teacher soon started his lecture about exams and discipline.
After finishing the lecture, he swept his gaze across the room,
"let's see, how are you all preparing for the exam. Sujil, get up. say what are the type of chemical reactions"
Sujil did not know whether to cry or laugh, he did not even know what a chemical reaction was? how was he going to name the types. he said carefully,
"Sorry sir, I'm wasn't listening in class."
The chemistry sir expression darkened,
"If you don't listen then, why are you coming to the class? are you even studying sujil? your marks are just above the marks needed for the pass."
Sujil wanted to argue but ultimately stopped himself because if he argued with the teacher, then school will surely ask him to bring his mother for complaining about his behaviour, he could not bring any more trouble to his mother and said,
"I will improve myself in the future and score good marks in the exam."
Chemistry teacher who heard this stunned because he expected him to use excuse or complain, nowadays students were becoming more daring and arrogant. Even if teacher hit the student, they bring the parents to report about teacher. Not only the teacher, even the students were clearly surprised.
Akash immediately woke from his stupor, then said softly,
"Okay ,sit down. It's good that you understand."
He continued,
"Students, I was planning to keep the test for you in unit-2. I expect full attendance tomorrow."
After that he began to teach the lesson. Sujil who sat at his desk, immediately began to listen to the lesson. he must obtain the study point.
The class ended at 1p.m. Sujil waited to receive the study points but was disappointed that he did not receive any system notification. Next period is Computer science, Sujil could somehow manage the computer science.
At 4p.m,
The school bell rang ,and the students all exited the classroom while chatting with their friends excitedly. Sujil slung his bag and headed home.
While travelling in the bus, he noticed the girl sitting across him. The girl was very beautiful with a handbag in her lap. she had black hair that cascading down her back, delicate face with expressive eyes. she also noticed that someone was staring at her and turned her head toward Sujil.
Sujil blushed, averted his eyes. The girl seemed to used to such attention and ignored him.
Sujil immediately felt disheartened thinking that this seemed impossible for him and her. he can tell she was college student and by the reaction the girl had given him earlier clearly indicate that she is not interested in him. This is also the first time for him to have crush on someone. After sometime, he stopped being pessimistic. he had a system that would help him became very successful in the future so he must focus on studying and secure a stable job to support his mother.
Sujil immediately regained his confidence and determination. After arriving at his stop, he went to his house while brimming with confidence.
The girl who ignored him earlier noticed him walking with newfound confidence and immediately puzzled,
"What's wrong with him ? It is very clear that guy is interested in me. but I rejected him without glancing his way indicating that I'm not interested. then why was he not upset?
After arriving home, Sujil soon started to study in his room.

"Yay!, finally I have enough points to level up."
Sujil exclaimed and opened his status panel to allocate the point. He said "status" in his mind and transparent blue screen appeared before him.

Sujil received new memories about Tamil subject. Then he glanced at his clock and saw 10p.m and went to the kitchen. he saw four dosa with gravy placed in the fridge by his mother. he took it and went to the hall to eat the food while watching televison. after finishing his dinner, he saw his mother entering the house and greeted her.
"Welcome back, Mom".
"you're still not going to sleep ?"
his mom clearly surprised that her son is still awake.
"Nope, studying for upcoming exam."
said Sujil while yawning.
"Who are you trying to fool? you must have been watching your mobile. you should be itching for a beating.
Lena raised her hand to punish this disobedient son. Sujil immediately panicked and explained
"Mom, you have to believe me. I can prove that I'm studying. come inside my room to check my notebook. "
Lena, though confused, went to his room to check whether he has been studying. she went to his desk to take a look at the notebook. After checking the book, she muttered.
"Sure enough. he have been studying tamil subject."
Lena expression softened slightly and went to the hall. she saw his son who wore aggrieved expression on his face.
she said happily, "suji, forgive your mom. It seems I was rash in my decision and cook biryani for you tomorrow".
Sujil beamed, hugged her tightly and delightfully said,
"Thank you ,mom".
