Lucy's anger had reached its peak that day consumed by hatred she had completely lost all sense of mercy.
Without hesitation she mercilessly threw Sheyaan out of the house.
Even after seeing Sheyaan fall to the ground, Lucy's hatred didn't end. Instead, she pointed at her and screamed:
"You belong out here…! And don't you.. dare step into this house again.., understand?!"
Lucy's poisonous words pierced Sheyaan's heart deeply. Tears filled her eyes as she lay helplessly on the ground outside.
Groaning in pain, she clutched her hand, which was soaked in blood because of the broken flower pot.
Lucy's brutality shocked everyone present there. In the parking area, Zavian—who had been on a phone call—immediately cut
the call and looked at the scene with intense seriousness. There was a terrifying calm in his eyes, hinting at the storm that was about to come.
Meanwhile, Fangxi's anger had crossed all limits. He rushed forward and immediately held Sheyaan, who was lying on the ground, in his support.
The moment he saw her blood-covered hand, he lost all control. Roaring at Lucy, he shouted:
"Lucy! You've crossed..all limits today… I never even imagined.. that you could hate Sheyaan... to this extent!"
Lucy was still standing there in anger, listening to everything Fangxi said—but there wasn't even a trace of regret in her eyes.
Before Fangxi could finish, Mrs Li suddenly stepped forward from behind with heavy steps.
Her face was filled with rage. Without saying a word, she pulled Lucy towards herself and slapped her hard across the face.
"SLAP!"
The sound echoed through the entire house, breaking the silence.
Lucy's face turned to the side, her cheek instantly red. She stood frozen, holding her cheek, staring at her mother in shock and pain.
Mrs Li shouted furiously:
"How dare you.. behave like this with Sheyaan?! That child has no... parents in this world… You are older than.. her—you should have taken care.. of her! And instead… you treated her... so badly?!"
Her voice trembled with both anger and pain as she continued,
"Is this what..I have taught.. you?!"
Hearing her mother's words, Lucy finally broke down. Crying angrily, she shouted:
"Mom! You… you raised your hand... on me because of that.. girl?! Why did you.. do this to me?!"
But instead of calming down, Mrs Li's anger only grew stronger. She said firmly:
"Go to your.. room! I don't want to hear... another word from you… do you..understand?!"
After her mother's strict scolding and the slap Lucy's anger flared uncontrollably stomping her foot in frustration.
She turned and walked away still fuming realizing that the situation had spiraled out of control.
Chan and Manglong silently followed after her.
Now only Mrs Li, Fangxi, and the injured Sheyaan remained there.
Miss Li controlled her anger, and her tone softened. She said to Fangxi:
"Fangxi… take Sheyaan.. inside!"
Saying this, she went inside the hall.
Hearing this, Fangxi looked at Sheyaan with deep concern. His heart ached for her injured state. In a soft, worried voice, he said:
"Get up, Sheyaan… let's go.. inside!"
Sheyaan looked at him with teary eyes and said in a broken, sorrowful voice:
"I don't want... to go!"
With that, Sheyaan gathered her strength, stood up, and started walking away.
Fangxi panicked and quickly grabbed her hand to stop her. He asked:
"Sheyaan! Where are you... going?!"
Sheyaan stopped and turned back to look at him. Her eyes were filled with tears, and she spoke while sobbing and stuttering:
"I… I don't want to...stay in this house..anymore! I have my own... Mom and Dad's house… I will stay...there!"
Hearing this decision from Sheyaan, Fangxi was stunned. His heart trembled with an unknown fear. In a shaky voice, he asked:
"Wh… what are you...saying? You can't...leave!"
This painful conversation between Fangxi and Sheyaan was clearly heard by Zavian, who was standing at a distance in the parking area.
His face had turned as hard as stone, and his eyes were fixed on them. What was going on inside him—no one could tell.
Hearing Fangxi's words, Sheyaan completely lost her patience. In anger, she forcefully shook off his hand and shouted:
"I already.. told you… I don't want to... stay here! I… I'm grown up now, and I can...take care of.. myself!"
There was a sharp bitterness and stubbornness in her words that she had never shown before.
Saying this, Sheyaan looked at Fangxi one last time with pain and anger in her eyes and started walking away quickly.
Fangxi, feeling deeply worried and upset, made one last attempt to stop her:
"She… Sheyaan, stop! You can't leave..like this!"
He tried hard to stop her, but right now Sheyaan was completely overwhelmed by her pain.
With a broken heart, she kept moving forward. She wiped her falling tears again.
and again, but blood was still continuously flowing from her hand, leaving red marks along her path.
Sheyaan had only walked a few steps when suddenly a loud and heavy voice echoed in the air, tearing through the silence:
"Sheyaan… Stop!"
The moment she heard that voice, Sheyaan froze in her place. She stopped immediately because she knew very well that this voice did not belong to Fangxi.
It was that same deep, commanding voice that made her heart tremble in a strange way.
With shock and nervousness, Sheyaan quickly turned back to look behind her.
Right of front of her, Zavian stepped right of the parking area without a moments pause.
He began walking straight toward her he steps clam yet purposeful.
Seeing his intimidating and commanding presence approaching,
Sheyaan's steps froze, and she stood there stiffly. From a distance, Fangxi was also watching Zavian's every move very carefully.
Zavian walked up and stopped right in front of Sheyaan. He locked his deep gaze into her eyes and asked in his cold, flat voice:
"Where are you.. going?!"
There was a chill in his voice that made Sheyaan slightly afraid. With teary eyes, she looked at him and spoke very softly in a trembling voice:
"I… I'm going to... my home. I don't want to... stay here!"
Saying this, Sheyaan quickly lowered her gaze and started wiping her tears.
Her heart was filled with pain, but there was no sign of pity on Zavian's face.
Maintaining his same cold demeanor, he leaned slightly closer to her face and said softly:
"Do you… even know where your...home is?"
Zavian's question left Sheyaan puzzled. She thought for a moment,
then looked at him again with a mix of innocence and stubbornness and said:
"I..I.. don't know… but I'll.. find it!"
Hearing her answer, Zavian straightened up, and a mysterious smirk appeared on his lips. In a slightly mocking tone, he asked:
"Oh really… then tell me, how will you... find it?"
Zavian's question left Sheyaan completely silent. She looked at him with pain-filled eyes, her lips trembling.
She grew sad, and she had no answer. Once again, she lowered her gaze, because she knew that at this moment, she was helpless.
Fangxi, who had been trying to convince Sheyaan for a long time, stepped forward and spoke in a very gentle tone:
"Sheyaan, don't be... stubborn… come inside! And look, your birthday is just a... day away… I'm really excited.. about it!"
But the moment she heard the word "birthday," instead of happiness,
a wave of anger and pain crossed Sheyaan's face. She suddenly looked at Fangxi angrily and shouted:
"How many times... have I told you that I... don't want to celebrate my.. birthday! Why don't you.. listen?!"
Seeing her anger, Fangxi got a little nervous and quickly tried to handle the situation, saying,
"Okay fine, I won't talk.. about it again… but at least come... inside, please!"
Sheyaan glanced at Zavian, who was still silently staring only at her.
There was a command in his cold face and deep gaze. Then Zavian's heavy voice echoed:
"Come.. inside."
Hearing this short command from Zavian, Sheyaan thought for a few moments, then slowly nodded and said,
"Okay."
Seeing her agree, a quiet sense of relief appeared on Fangxi's face.
He immediately said with a bit of eagerness,
"Come on!"
Saying this, he started walking inside, and Sheyaan slowly followed behind him.
Walking inside with Zavian, Sheyaan kept looking at her injured hand.
The pain was so intense that her innocent face had tightened with discomfort.
Seeing her condition, the boiling anger in Zavian's veins turned into a chilling calm—the kind of calm that comes before a storm. Looking ahead, he said firmly:
"Don't worry… I'll personally take..revenge for this painful.. wound!"
Hearing this, Sheyaan was completely shocked. Out of fear, she immediately looked at Zavian and asked in a trembling voice:
"Huh?! Wh...what will you..do? You won't do something.. wrong, right? I… I know you well..now!"
At her words, a faint smirk appeared on Zavian's lips. He placed his heavy hand on her shoulder and leaned very close to her face, whispering softly:
"My silent...heartbeat… to understand me, you'll.. have to become... like me! Got it?!"
Sheyaan felt uneasy because of this closeness and his words. She quickly removed his hand from her shoulder and, frowning slightly, said stubbornly:
"I understand...everything… okay?!"
Saying this, Sheyaan quickly ran inside the house. Zavian remained standing there,
a mysterious smile on his face. In a very low and cold voice, he muttered to himself:
"That day will... come soon… when you become as heartless.. and ruthless as me!"
There was a terrifying decision in his eyes for Lucy. He added,
"But for now… I have to deal.. with her!"
with a smirk.
After saying this, Zavian walked into the house his demeanor clam and composed.
Yet carrying an unmistakable sense of authority and dignity.
