**Profound Spirit Continent.**
A vast and immeasurable land where cultivator reign supreme, a place where strength is supreme, a place where the strong thrive and the weak cower in fear and are devoured by the strong at will, where whoever's fist is bigger is right.
The Profound Spirit Continent is divided into five regions: The Eastern Barren Lands, The Extreme Cold Northern Region, The Rain Forest of the West, The Southern Region, and the Central Mainland, which houses majority of the venerable forces and saint forces as well as the largest concentration spirit Qi and opportunity for cultivation enhancement.
The cultivation realms are divided into:
Martial Apprentice, where cultivators begin if they have spirit roots. They can be of the five elements which are Gold, Fire, Water, Earth, Wind and wood.
Spirit roots are divided into:
Human-level spirit roots, which are extremely common among most monks.
Yellow-level spirit roots, which are although still common are a step further along in the path of martial arts.
Then comes the rarer Xuan-level or profound-level spirit roots, which out of 10,000 monks may only be found in 1000 and can progress reasonable along the cultivation path.
Above the Xuan or profound is the earth-level, which is regarded as a genius seedlings even by ancient sect, ancient family and holy lands. It can only appear in a 100 out of 10,000 monks, and it is said one can high the high level respected king realm without even cultivating by just lying down and breathing in the Qi of the world, and when provided with resources can reach an unimaginable realm.
Next step above earth is the heavenly spirit roots. Such a person is regarded as the favourite son of heaven, a generation of protegee destined to be a protagonist of the era. It can only appear rarely appear in 5 or 10 out of 10,000 monks, and none may appear in the world for hundreds of years, maybe even thousands. So when it eventually appears, it is protected fiercely and jealous by the faction, giving the focus of training and resources of there entire faction. Such a person has the potential to legendary emperor rank and reach the peak of the whole mainland.
It is said that in the legends there are even stronger spirit roots, but no one has ever been able to confirm this. Maybe only the mainlands peak faction know.
After one test there spirit roots, one proceeds to feel the Qi of the continent with the help of a cultivation method. Cultivation methods can also be divided into human-level, yellow-level, profound-level (Xuan-level), earth-level, heaven-level, with heaven tier being the highest, and all heaven tier are in the hands of the peak forces except perhaps those keep in hidden ancient inheritances and lost secret realms.
When one acquires a cultivation method, one feels the Qi of the world, the speed of which one feels it depends heavily on the quality of spirit roots, and so does practice speed. Some human tier roots may never feel the flow of Qi for the entirety of their mortal lives and die insignificantly.
After feeling the Qi, one directs the flow of Qi towards the meridians channel, of which there are 9 channel in the body consisting of the 9 sub realms of the martial apprentice. Inside each channel there are 360 meridians. After breaking a channel, one is required to fill up each 360 meridians, with the first 3 sub realms being the early stage of martial apprentice, the 4th to 6th the middle, and the 7th to 9th advanced stage, with peak 9th being completion stage. Then one makes breakthrough to the martial warrior realm. Before a breakthrough to martial warrior, such a monk isn't considered a cultivator and he is only a bit stronger than regular mortal.
The Martial Warrior, this is where the meridians are opened up so Qi can move through them to form nine gaseous Qi in the body, and it is used to temper the body. The bones and the skin gain tremendous physical strength far above mortals and apprentices. It is also divided into sub realms just like the apprentice realm.
After breakthrough comes the Martial Master realm, where one can condense nine gaseous cyclone which are dantian like using Qi which is transformed into the attributes of the user, enabling them to cloak themselves in their attributes Qi. After completion, the breakthrough to the martial grandmaster is inevitable.
In this realm the gaseous Qi is solidified, making it more concentrated, and only then can one practice marital arts techniques, scripts and all kinds of secret technique. Nine solid cyclones to get to completion, then comes the breakthrough to the martial sea realm, where each of the nine cyclones are transformed one by one into an endless sea of spiritual Qi inside the body, allowing for an overall comprehensive boost in strength, also allowing fone to suspend in the air using objects for a short period of time. After the completion is the martial king realm.
This realm allows monks to resonate with the power of heaven and earth to transform it into their attributes for battle, though this consumes considerable spirit Qi and allows flight for a medium duration of flight. In this realm one is required to harden each vast ocean of Qi into diamond like structures to allow the force of heaven flow into it, triggering resonation. The breakthrough after the completion to the martial monarch stage.
This where one dominates over the forces heaven without Qi consumption. They can change the shape of their Qi into various shapes sizes. This realm dies not require any Qi changes but comprehension into the mysteries of heavenly forces, the greater the mastery the more the cultivation increases. After completion, this one breakthrough the martial Ancestor realm.
Martial Ancestor realm is a threshold realm that has made countless geniuses hopeless. It requires a large amount of comprehension ability to be able comprehend the power of space. This realms allows monks to perform short distance teleportation, open small but extremely volatile space cracks to pull weaker cultivators and the power of the void and it destroys them, also move in the space crack to travel long distances at a short time. It also grant a very long life span of over 5,000 years of life span. When ones comprehension of space reaches the 9th layer of Ancestor realm and talent and comprehension are present, the practitioner seeks a breakthrough to the respected Martial venerable rank.
The Martial Venerable is a real powerhouse across the continent. Even on the mainland they serve as either guest elder to peak forces, clan elders or even ancestor level figures. They mostly gather on the mainland to fight for territory, resources and opportunity to breakthrough to the next level.
The Martial Venerable has surpassed the initial mastery of space and is now able to control space, granting them the ability stabilize open spatial cracks, isolating the spatial turbulence and spatial storms for long distance journeys. Only the venerable realm and above are able to build long distance teleportation formation channel. Their is a huge gulf in difference between the venerable and the Martial Ancestor. A single first layer venerable can kill numerous ninth layer peak Martial Ancestor's with a single slap. They can kill from thousands of miles away.
When ones control of space reaches the peak of 9th layer venerable, the next breakthrough will be to the Martial Saint realm.
The Martial Saint is the real peak powerhouse of the continent. Even on the mainland where there are crunching tigers and hidden dragon, the saint is still the peak, and before a force can be regarded among the peak forces it must at least have a saint elder, sect leader, family head or ancestor.
This realm requirements to break into it not only needs extreme talent and comprehension but also needs heaven defying luck and opportunity. Countless heaven defying geniuses who have unparalleled talent have failed to step into this realm because they lack luck and opportunity.
The Martial Saint is able to convert it's control of space into a space domain, allowing create an independent space that contains massive amounts of spirit Qi capable of housing a large population of living residents. A saint can kill an uncountable number of venerables with a single glance. They can freeze space and lock everyone in it, stoping enemies from escaping. They can collapse the continents space creating various degrees just with the residual energy from a battle between saints. They can destroy the world with their martial arts techniques.
Saints can lifespan of up to 100,000 years, and if a monk is lucky enough to ascend to the 9th layer peak of the next realm would be the Martial Emperor realm.
The Martial Emperor realm is a legendary realm that has not appeared anywhere on the continent, even on the mainland, for 100,000 years and has completely become regarded as a myth among most cultivators on the continent. Legend says that hundreds of thousands of years ago there where Martial Emperor's who rule the continent, but they completely disappeared a hundred thousand years ago with the disappearance of the last Martial Emperor, "The Spirit Martial Emperor," who disappeared silently along
side the secrets to becoming a Martial Emperor was lost.
