After trying to avoid Malo and his bickering about how,
"the show must go on,"
I told him to just go there alone. He eventually agreed, though he kept grumbling that he was taking the bigger share. I shrugged my shoulders and ignored him, my chest rising with a long, tired breath as I walked away. Let him take the bigger cut for all I cared.
I didn't even want to go to the hotel in the first place. What if I ran into that childish warlock again? His magic is way scarier than his little self.
Princess had lunch with the pups in their classroom, which was cute and lovely. She was trying to make up for missing last night's bath-time adventure. I could hear the little giggles and the soft babbling all the way down the hall, the sound making my lungs expand with a sudden warmth.
I quietly stood by the door, secretly watching them, but it didn't last long.
I was spotted.
