Chapter 65 - Everyone Eagerly Awaits Chairman Sterling’s Arrival!

Sterling Heights Villa.

A fleet of luxury wedding cars pulled in, and Ryan Caldwell temporarily forgot about the unpleasantness of his business dealings, happily stepping forward to greet the bride.

Upon arriving at the first floor of the villa, before they could even go up to greet Emily, they first encountered Jessica Harper.

Jessica did not serve as a bridesmaid, but she still wore a white dress and looked extremely beautiful and charming.

"Wow, Jessica looks so beautiful today! I almost thought you were my bride!"

When Ryan saw Jessica, he immediately made a teasing remark.

Jessica played with her hair with her right hand and said, "Tch, my groom is the famous Chairman Sterling."

Ryan suddenly realized, "No wonder Jessica is dressed up so beautifully—it turns out she's here to meet Chairman Sterling at the wedding today!"

Jessica nodded: "Of course, I heard that Chairman Sterling will be attending your and my sister's wedding today. Ryan, I didn't expect your Caldwell family to have so much influence. Chairman Sterling has always been so mysterious and never shows his face."

Ryan laughed smugly: "Haha, that's for sure. My Caldwell family is a first-class family in Riverforge. It's only right that Chairman Sterling gives us face." Ryan took a brief pause.

"Little sister, from today onwards, we're family. Let's keep in touch!"

Jessica said, "Alright, I'll remember what I promised you. Go and pick my sister up."

Jessica couldn't wait to go to the wedding venue, but of course she wasn't looking forward to Emily and Ryan's wedding at all.

What she longed for was to meet her ideal husband, Chairman Sterling of Horizon Group!

One hour later.

Portman Ritz-Carlton Hotel.

The Caldwell family truly lived up to its reputation as one of the wealthiest families in Riverforge, with luxury cars constantly arriving at the hotel to attend their wedding.

Ryan Caldwell Sr. and Laura Caldwell were also busy welcoming guests.

"Mr. Zhao! It is a great honor for my son that you could attend his wedding!"

"Director Zheng! Welcome, welcome! We must have a couple of drinks later."

"Vice Mayor Reynolds! Oh my, what an honor to have you here! I'm so sorry for not welcoming you sooner. I'll definitely punish myself with a drink later, haha, please have a seat."

Watching Ryan Caldwell Sr. and his wife greet these dignitaries, Emily, dressed in a white wedding gown, was also very happy.

Emily thought to herself, "The Caldwell family's social circle is amazing! There are so many people I've never seen at Grandma's birthday banquet. They must be big shots in Riverforge's business and political circles. It's so good to marry into such a wealthy family. Unlike when I married Jeff last time, all the guests at the wedding were for our family. They didn't have a single decent guest!"

Between Jeff and Ryan, Emily prefers Jeff.

But in terms of family background and the happiness and vanity that marriage brought to Emily, Emily felt that Jeff was no match for Ryan.

At this moment, she had no regrets about divorcing Jeff; on the contrary, she was very fortunate.

Suddenly, a commotion broke out at the scene.

"Mr. Ma! My God! Mr. Ma actually came!"

Ryan Caldwell Sr. was startled and quickly went over to shake hands with Mr. Ma, saying, "One of the richest man in the country! It's is an honor to have you here. I, Ryan Caldwell Sr., am unworthy to have you as my guest!"

Ryan Caldwell Jr., Emily, and the Harper family members were all so shocked that they covered their mouths.

The Caldwell family actually has dealings with Mr. Ma, one of the richest man in the country.

It should be noted that the Caldwell family is only a first-rate family in Riverforge, and not even among the top ten in Riverforge.

And this Mr. Ma is number two in the country and among the top 20 in the world!

These are people from completely different levels!

Ryan Caldwell Sr. said loudly, "Which relative or friend helped me invite Mr. Ma? I, Ryan Caldwell Sr., will definitely thank them handsomely later!"

Mr. Ma shook hands with Ryan Caldwell Sr. and said with a smile, "Mr. Caldwell, you're too kind. I came uninvited today, and I hope you won't mind."

Mr. Ma had no prior acquaintance with the Caldwell family and received no invitation; he simply got in by using his connections.

Ryan Caldwell Sr. said, "Mr. Ma, you're too kind. It's an honor for my son and me to have you here! I wonder if there's something important that you've come all this way for?"

Both being business people, Ryan Caldwell Sr. knew that Mr. Ma was extremely busy, flying to the Davos Forum one day and meeting with presidents of other countries the next, and simply didn't have time to attend a stranger's wedding.

Therefore, Ryan Caldwell Sr. guessed that Mr. Ma must have something on his mind.

Mr. Ma smiled and said, "To be honest, I came here for two reasons: first, to congratulate the newlyweds, and second, to meet Chairman Sterling of Horizon Group."

The first sentence was just polite talk and could be ignored, but the last sentence took Ryan Caldwell Sr. by surprise.

Even one of the richest men in the country wants to get to know Chairman Sterling?

Judging from this, this mysterious Chairman Sterling might be even richer than Mr. Ma!

Thinking of this, everyone present felt an even greater sense of admiration for Chairman Sterling.

Ryan Caldwell Sr. quickly said, "Mr. Ma, please take a seat. I'll call the vice president of Horizon Group right away to ask where they are."

"Thank you for your trouble." Mr. Ma thanked him with both hands, and greeted the other businessmen with smiles, showing no airs of a billionaire.

"Chairman Sterling..."

Seeing this, Emily was filled with curiosity about Chairman Sterling.

"What kind of family background and appearance would a girl have to be worthy of being Chairman Sterling's wife? Sigh, I'd better not even think about it."

Emily felt that she was not good enough for Chairman Sterling, unlike Jessica, who was always indulging in unrealistic fantasies.

Ryan Caldwell Sr. seated Mr. Ma and immediately called Victoria Lang.

"My dear, have you and Chairman Sterling set off yet?"

Victoria Lang said, "We'll be at the hotel entrance soon."

"What? You're at the door? I'll go out and greet you right away!"

Ryan Caldwell Sr. was overjoyed and immediately said to his wife and children, "Chairman Sterling and Ms. Lang are at the door. Come with me to greet them!"

"Yes!"

Ryan Caldwell Jr., Emily, and the other younger generation all followed.

"Ah! My dear Chairman Sterling is here! Grandma, Dad, let's go over there too!"

Jessica jumped up excitedly.

Old Madam Harper nodded: "Chairman Sterling is our partner, so of course we will go."

Upon hearing this, the other guests also rose from their seats.

"I heard that Chairman Sterling of Horizon Group has acquired many restaurants and lounges. He now monopolizes many industries in Riverforge!"

"Not only that, I've also heard that he destroys companies for fun, and in the last month alone, he's already bankrupted dozens of companies!"

"Look, even Mr. Ma is at the door! Let's go see who Chairman Sterling really is!"

"We must take this opportunity to get to know Chairman Sterling!"

"..."

At the hotel entrance, a white Maybach Landaulet, once hailed as the "world's most expensive car" and worth over $3 million, slowly drove up and stopped at the entrance.

A hotel staff member opened the car door, and Victoria Lang, dressed in a white dress, was the first to get out of the car.

Everyone knew that the next person to get out would be Chairman Sterling!

Jeff, dressed in a white suit, stepped out of the car!

Victoria Lang took Jeff's arm and introduced him to Ryan Caldwell Sr.: "Mr. Caldwell, this is Chairman Sterling of our Horizon Group."
