She powered on the PC.
"Hm… clicking this should optimize it…"
She adjusted a few settings and ran the optimization tool.
The screen froze.
Then—
Blue.
Crash.
"…What?"
Her brows furrowed. "It should have worked."
She restarted the PC and quickly searched the error code.
A few forum threads popped up.
Outdated drivers. Unsupported system patch. Compatibility issues.
She leaned back in the chair.
"Oh… right."
This world's systems still haven't developed much.
She rubbed her temples lightly.
"I have to relearn even these basics again…" she muttered.
She opened the official documentation.
This framework had been obsolete in her previous world for years.
No wonder it was unstable.
As she skimmed through the old API references, a small tug interrupted her.
"Mom… hungyyy…"
Qinran looked down.
Luoli stood beside her, clutching her sleeve with sleepy eyes.
Her expression softened immediately.
"Oh, sorry."
She stood up and headed toward the back, opening the small café fridge to grab their lunchbox.
"I'll fix that in a bit."
She placed the container into the microwave. The food sizzled softly as it heated, filling the air with a warm, comforting aroma.
"Nana, I'll be having lunch in the back. Just call me if you need anything."
"Okay, Miyahh~" Nana replied from the front.
Qinran held Luoli's small hand and walked toward the back room.
After lunch, she wiped his mouth gently.
"Sleepy?"
He nodded.
She settled him into a chair near the wall, draped her jacket over him, and waited until his breathing evened out.
Only then did she return to the PC.
The screen still displayed the outdated documentation.
She cracked her knuckles.
"Alright… let's work with what we have"
And began rewriting the optimization process from scratch.
