Chapter 40 - Chapter 39: Inflitration I

Things we have done so far:

I punched the underlings.

We tied them up inside a deserted house with chains.

We disguised ourselves using their uniforms.

We entered their spacecraft and are now departing toward the base planet.

Thankfully, Yash knows how to use these spacecrafts. That boy is a genius.

While we were at it, we shared our journeys and stories.

I taught Yash basic sorcery techniques.

What shocked me more was that the kicks and punches he used—Iron Kick and Iron Maxima—were actually Dark Energy-coated moves blended with martial arts he had learnt.

In return, he taught me about precognition.

Yash could see three seconds into the future after observing his opponent for some time. It was prediction-based.

He has an accuracy of 98.99%.

Obviously, an idiot like me couldn't understand much.

Maybe I am smart, but he just can't explain things properly.

After an hour, during dinner time, we had another round of talks.

This time, the topic shifted toward Master Krishna.

[Yash]: I know that guy.

Huh?

Really?

[Mala]: How would you know him?

[Yash]: That's because my mother, the Empress of Gretoling Empire, was friends with Team GATTSKALT, especially Master Krishna.

But that guy gives off a very unfriendly aura.

[Pratik]: Can you tell us more about it?

[Yash]: Well, it was around the Alien Invasion event on Earth. I wasn't born back then. My mother had accidentally ended up on Earth, and there she made contact with Immortalus Society. She lived with them and went on adventures with them for some time before the Alien Invasion.

I see.

So this happened around 11–12 years ago.

Yash continued eating his food.

[Yash]: During the Alien Invasion, Sir Krishna guided my mother back to our Empire while the other sorcerers dealt with the invasion. After returning here, she married my father shortly afterward. Soon after, Sir Krishna left... and my father disappeared too.

This makes sense.

That man had taken me in during the same period. After returning to Earth... maybe around ten years ago.

[Pratik]: What about your father? You haven't told us anything about him.

Yash made a bitter face.

[Yash]: Well... actually, I haven't seen him myself. According to Mother, the last time he visited us was when I was born. That's it. She said he has some work elsewhere and won't return unless he completes it.

I understand that feeling...

The feeling of being neglected, even though I was never neglected myself.

He feels more human than me.

[Pratik]: Do you at least have his photo?

[Yash]: No. Many people have seen him, but everyone describes him differently. It's almost as if they are trying to hide his real self from me. The only thing I know is that he is cold-hearted... and quite powerful.

That description always reminds me of Master Krishna.

But now even Yash's father is like that?

I think the world is filled with such people.

Wait a second.

[Pratik]: Hey, did Sir Krishna meet your father?

[Yash]: According to my mother, yes. He certainly did.

...

[Pratik]: I see.

Pratik(thinking): Maybe I can ask Master Krishna himself later. He rarely lies. Maybe I can place some obvious bet against him and ask about it as my reward after winning.

[Yash]: Ah, I just remembered. He used to wear a black cloak most of the time. Likely for stealth.

Hmm...

Black cloak?

I can only remember white cloaks.

[Mala]: I think I should make some sweet dis—

[Everyone]: Rejected!

We soon reached the base planet.

What was its name again?

Ah yes.

Planet Gamble.

PLANET GAMBLE,

We reported that no slaves were left behind.

We also provided our fake identities that Yash had prepared on the way.

This planet is honestly weird.

It looks like a highly advanced civilization has settled here.

Tall skyscrapers made of glass, flying vehicles, liquid hydrogen used as fuel, and many more things.

[Yash]: The money needed for this advancement was earned by selling Gretolings. It makes my blood boil.

That's a valid reaction, I would say.

Destroying innocent lives is never worth anything.

Kel and Yash made a plan.

Simple.

Three of us would infiltrate the organization as guards or workers, while the other three would enter the market as slaves.

This way is more effective.

We can gather intel from both perspectives.

The ones infiltrating with official posts are Lila, Kel, and Grimori since they are experts at this kind of thing.

They won't have any problems. I'm sure of it.

Yash is better off staying with us as a slave because a kid in a higher position would immediately attract suspicion.

Being a slave with us would make things more believable.

Since he has a cute face and innocent-looking eyes, no one would suspect him of being a spy.

I just hope no one recognizes him as the prince.

According to his logic, only the people who abduct Gretolings from small villages know about him. Other than them, almost nobody knows his identity—not even the Domino Community leaders.

I didn't know much about Domino Communities, nor did I ask.

Mala, Yash, and I were thrown into cages.

Being a slave is surely rough.

[Yash]: Before trusting anyone completely, I want to warn you about one thing.

What is it, pretty boy?

[Yash]: If I were behind this racket, I would have anticipated spies trying to infiltrate us. Which means I would make sure one of my own men infiltrated as a slave too, just to monitor suspicious people. Do you understand what I am trying to say?

Yes.

I get it.

[Pratik]: Does that mean someone among the slaves could actually be a henchman of the smugglers themselves?

[Yash]: It is certainly possible. While we were being dragged here, I noticed that the guards escorting us carried guns and communication devices. Almost everyone did... except the people guiding prisoners while wearing uniforms with two circles on the chest.

I see.

That's a fair point.

[Pratik]: But wouldn't that mean those guards are powerful enough that they don't need weapons during rebellions?

[Yash]: Not necessarily. The guards and workers are divided according to ranks. Those two were common guards with One-Star rank.

I think he has already deduced everything important.

No need to question further.

Moreover, thanks to him, I have started learning observation too.

Just when we were talking about it, we heard a commotion nearby.

We glanced over and saw a slave beating the hell out of a guard.

A girl was trying to stop him.

"Stop it, Surya! That's enough."

I see.

So his name is Surya.

[Surya]: He dared to touch you! I can't stop myself.

Couples?

He had menacing, angry eyes.

The girl glanced toward us.

[Yash]: How are you, pretty face?

Huh?!

Surya threw the guard away and immediately turned toward us.

What?!

Why would you say that?!

Surya launched a kick toward Yash, only for it to get blocked.

[Yash]: Calm down, man. Join us. It's safer here.

[Surya]: You tried to flirt with my dear Nini?!

Suddenly, a punch knocked Surya down.

It was Nini.

[Nini]: We are just friends, you moron.

What the hell is happening here?

[Nini]: Thanks for distracting him from the guard.

She said to Yash.

[Yash]: Easy task, ma'am.

Oh.

I see.

So it was just to distract Surya.

Yash seems scary to me sometimes.

Suddenly, Nini started tickling Yash.

[Nini]: You are so cute~

Yash burst out laughing.

Not again.

I think we found some allies.

To be continued...

A MEETING (PART 2)

Krishna's stare killed five Immortalus Society Authority members.

This created a massive outrage.

Almost all the leaders immediately pointed their attacks toward Krishna, ready to kill him for his actions.

The act of eliminating a member of any society's authority body is considered a great sin.

Krishna stood there unfazed.

He had already realized that a few members of Immortalus Society Authority had been secretly backing Tai.

He had collected artifacts belonging to those five authority members after dismantling calamities alongside Tai.

Those artifacts became evidence.

The remaining members of Immortalus Society Authority also pointed their attacks at Krishna.

Thousands of layered barriers and absorption barriers were activated by the authorities of the other societies.
