Chapter 10 - Chapter 10: Ming’s Abilities

"Those were just the basic abilities of the Sharingan," Ming said. The tomoe in his eyes spun rapidly, connecting to form a shuriken design. Everyone in the room, except for Satoru Gojo, felt a slight mental pressure. Masamichi Yaga, seeing Ming's eyes from the side for the first time, was visibly startled.

"These eyes... they can evolve even further?" Yaga asked in shock.

"This is the Mangekyo Sharingan. Think of it as a higher-tier evolution. Not only does it amplify the three base abilities I mentioned, but it also grants two unique Ocular Techniques," Ming explained.

"First is the Kamui born in my left eye. That's the 'intangibility' you saw this morning and the teleportation I used just now. Actually, 'intangibility' isn't quite accurate. I don't turn ghost-like; rather, the moment someone or something touches me, that part of my body is automatically transferred to another dimension—one I call the Kamui Dimension. This technique gives me a private space that belongs only to me, and I can pull others into it through physical contact."

"While the left eye is supportive, the Kamui in my right eye is offensive. It can warp objects at a distance or distort space. That's why I said I could twist Satoru's head off. Since it's a spatial manipulation, Satoru's 'Infinity' is useless against it. However, it takes a moment to charge, so against someone as fast as him, it's a bit of a gamble," Ming explained.

"Can you stop using me as your hypothetical victim?" Satoru Gojo muttered, annoyed.

"It doesn't matter, we're best friends, aren't we, Satoru?" Ming said nonchalantly.

"Hmph," Gojo scoffed, pouting slightly.

"Then tell us about the other types of Mangekyo Sharingan," Gojo asked, no longer dwelling on the example. Based on Ming's earlier words, there had to be more than just the Tsukuyomi he had experienced.

Ming didn't hide it anymore and switched the pattern in his eyes again.

"This pair is also a Mangekyo. These eyes are specialized for Genjutsu. My left eye holds Tsukuyomi, and the right holds the strongest illusion: Kotoamatsukami (Modified). It has two functions. First is Kotoamatsukami: Light, which can permanently alter a person's thoughts without them noticing. However, it's very impractical because the cooldown is five years. The second ability is one I'm quite fond of: Kotoamatsukami: Izanagi. It's a technique that makes the user truly invincible." Ming paused to take a sip of water.

"Oh? An invincible technique? I'd love to see that, wouldn't you, Suguru?" Gojo looked at Suguru Geto with a grin.

"Indeed. Anything Ming calls 'invincible' must be extraordinary. I'm definitely curious," Geto nodded, a smile on his face.

"Curious my ass. I'm never using it," Ming said, his face darkening.

"Explain why," Yaga prompted.

"This technique allows me to turn any unfavorable event—including injury or death—into a mere 'illusion' for a set period, while keeping only favorable events as 'reality.' For about one minute, I am truly invincible," Ming paused. "Because even death can be reversed back into reality."

"Wait... is that really still in the realm of Genjutsu?" Geto asked, stunned. Even Gojo, who was rarely impressed, felt his eyes light up. Reversing death itself?

"Yes. Because I am essentially turning all unfavorable factors affecting me into 'falsehoods'," Ming nodded.

"And the cost?" Gojo asked seriously.

"The cost is that the eye used becomes permanently blind. So, it's a 'useless' trump card that I hope never to need," Ming said flatly.

"Fair point. Since we are the strongest, there's no way a situation like that would ever happen," Gojo said, slapping Geto on the shoulder.

The three shared a look and laughed. Each was overflowing with the confidence of a genius. They didn't believe they could ever lose.

"Alright, any other abilities?" Yaga asked again.

"Just the lightning. That primarily comes from my unique Cursed Energy. I can slightly modify my technique to mimic basic elements. I call it 'useless' because I can't use my Sharingan abilities while channeling it," Ming said.

"I wouldn't call that useless. Your ocular powers are great for one-on-one, but for swarms of Curses, Satoru and I are better suited. Having elemental power makes you more versatile," Geto said with a hint of pride, though he was secretly envious. His Cursed Spirit Manipulation was broken, but his physical self was a bit of a glass cannon until he could master Uzumaki to extract techniques.

"Ming is good for taking out one or two, but against a horde like Suguru's, he'd struggle," Gojo added thoughtfully.

"Are you kidding me? I'm the last person who fears a crowd! Suguru, what's with that look?" Ming barked.

"Oh? Prove it then. Your lightning is decent, but it's barely Grade 2 level," Gojo teased, acting as if he were miles ahead.

"Tch. I can't show you here. Follow me," Ming said. Everyone had finished eating anyway.

"Kamui!"

Space distorted, and without resisting, the group was sucked in. They emerged in a dark, desolate dimension filled with floating rectangular pillars of various sizes.

"Is this the Kamui Dimension?" Yaga looked around.

"Yes," Ming replied. "Alright, Suguru, bring out some Curses."

"Fine. Cursed Spirit Manipulation." Geto summoned over a dozen Grade 3 spirits around them.

"Amaterasu!"

Ming's eyes shifted again. A cluster of pitch-black flames erupted, incinerating the spirits instantly. Ming's eye bled a single trail of crimson.

"Hey! You didn't have to kill them!" Geto rolled his eyes.

"Black flames... and the temperature is incredibly high," Yaga noted.

"It's fine. You don't need Grade 3s anyway; I'll catch you some Grade 1s later," Ming said. One spirit, still burning, stumbled toward Shoko.

"Shoko, look out!" Ming dashed forward, grabbing Shoko and pulling her away.

"I'm fine, Ming," Shoko said, touched by his concern, even if it felt a bit over the top.

"Yeah, Ming, did you forget Shoko can use Reverse Cursed Technique? She's hard to kill," Gojo teased, looking between the two with a knowing smirk.

"Scum," Shoko thought, glaring at Gojo.

"Even so, we should avoid accidents. The flames of Amaterasu never go out. They are extremely hot and use the target's own energy to fuel the burn. Unless you cut off the affected area entirely, it won't stop. That would hurt, wouldn't it?" Ming said calmly.
