Using his briars as high-tension springs, Lloyd launched himself toward the giant's face. The colossus opened its stone maw, trying to bite the air, but Lloyd spun the weapon with an expert movement.
Burst.
The drill impacted directly into the colossus's left eye, a core of pure astral crystal.
KRRRRRRRRRRRR.
The sound of rock being crushed was deafening. White sparks and shards of light flew out as the drill bored through the defensive layers. The colossus swung its free hand to crush Lloyd, but the Leviathan Pupil had already traced the attack's trajectory. Lloyd jumped into the air, dodging the blow by just a few centimeters, and discharged all the energy accumulated in the weapon.
BOOOOOOOM.
The giant's eye exploded. A rain of crystalline fragments filled the air as the black miasma infiltrated the empty socket, spreading through the interior of the colossus's head like poison. The stone began to blacken and decompose, losing its structural integrity.
