Chapter 79: Skypiea – Conis & Pagaya's Home & Enel's "Divine Judgment"

The group followed Pagaya and Conis back to their home as guests. Standing on the balcony, the breathtaking view of Angel Beach stretched out before them—and they could still see Nami joyfully racing around on the Waver across the cloud sea.

Once inside, Luffy immediately forgot all about the earlier chaos and excitedly joined Usopp in playing with Conis's collection of various dials.

"Usopp, listen! 'Usopp is a big idiot!'" Luffy pressed the button on the Tone Dial; the shell instantly repeated his words back at him.

"My turn! 'Luffy you rubber moron!'" Usopp snatched the dial, shouted into it, then hit playback—the shell obediently echoed him.

Next they dragged Chopper and Karoo over to try the other types: the glowing Lamp Dial, the scent-storing Flavor Dial used as an aromatherapy device, the wind-storing Wind Dial, and the flame-storing Heat Dial.

It was clear that Skypiea's culture was deeply intertwined with these miraculous dials.

"Skypiea has no seabed—how do these shells survive?" Vivi asked curiously, holding an Image Dial.

Conis smiled and explained: "There are fish reefs in the shallows of the cloud sea. Shells generally live there. And as long as the shell itself isn't damaged, they can be used almost indefinitely—practically semi-permanent."

"I see. So the Waver is powered by Wind Dials?" Robin keenly pointed out.

"Exactly. That's why it can move even without wind," Conis nodded in confirmation.

In the kitchen, Pagaya was teaching Sanji and Sol how to cook using the dials. Sanji listened very attentively, while Sol secretly pressed a Heat Dial and directly inhaled the flame inside.

"Mmm! Seafood flavor!" Sol's eyes instantly lit up.

Sanji snatched the dial and shut it off: "Hey! Sol! You ate all the fire—how am I supposed to cook now?!"

"There's still a Hot Dial over there. And I was just tasting it." Sol turned his head away, a little embarrassed.

At that moment he noticed a bottle of sky-blue sauce and showed it to Sanji.

"Ugh! So spicy! What's with this sauce? The color's weirdly blue and the taste is insane—my tongue's gone numb!" Sanji dipped a bit curiously, tasted it, and immediately complained.

"For real? Let me try…" Sol was about to put it in his mouth when Pagaya hurriedly stopped him: "Sorry—that bottle's gone bad."

"You kept spoiled sauce? Planning to murder someone?" Sanji instantly tossed it and rushed to the sink to rinse his mouth frantically. Sol looked at the sauce on his finger and quickly joined him at the faucet: "Close call—almost ate it."

The commotion from the kitchen caught Luffy's attention. He turned to Usopp: "They seem to be having fun in there."

"Probably just excited about Skypiea ingredients." Usopp shrugged.

"Done! 'Sky Treasure Full Belly Seafood Feast' with special Skypiea fruits—complete!" Before long, Sanji and Sol brought out a massive, lavish spread.

While everyone was enjoying the meal, Nami burst through the door in a flurry, snatched the cup of water from Sol's hand, and chugged it down. "Listen—I just went to this weird island and almost got struck by lightning!" She wiped her mouth and began recounting her adventure.

It turned out that after playing enough at Angel Beach, she had ridden the Waver farther out to explore. Soon she discovered a lush, green island. Towering ancient trees covered it—but the moment she stepped onto the island, a massive lightning bolt struck down from the sky.

"Nami! Are you hurt?!" Vivi stood up in alarm, carefully checking her over.

"Not at all. After being hit by lightning, I actually felt refreshed and full of energy!" Nami laughed and waved it off. Only now did she truly realize how powerful her Thunder Bird Fruit was—it not only made her immune to lightning damage but even let her absorb it as energy.

"Wait! Nami-san… you're saying you went to the sacred island of Upper Yard and survived God's judgment unharmed?" Conis stood up in shock.

"Upper Yard? Is that the island's name?" Nami pointed at herself.

"Yes. The sacred island is near Angel Island—you can reach it quickly on a Waver. But it's a forbidden zone, ruled by God Enel," Pagaya added gravely.

"Then… did I cause trouble for you guys?" Nami finally realized the seriousness. More than her own brush with danger, she worried about dragging Conis and her father into it.

Conis and Pagaya exchanged a glance and gave a wry smile: "Honestly… we don't know. After all… no one has ever survived God's judgment before."

While they were talking, a knock suddenly came from outside: "Haso! This is the White Beret Corps. I'm Captain McKinley—open the door!"

"No way… they're here already?" Nami grabbed Sol—who was still happily eating—and yanked him up. "Hey idiot, stop eating! Think of something quick!" The sudden move startled Luffy, Chopper, and the others into dropping their chopsticks.

"Cough cough cough…" Sol nearly choked but still calmed her: "Don't worry—I've got this."

The three of them stepped outside. To their surprise, the entire White Beret Corps was prostrated on the ground.

"Uh… are they doing acrobatics?" Sol raised an eyebrow.

"Captain McKinley, what brings you here?" Pagaya asked cautiously.

McKinley ignored Pagaya and stared straight at Nami: "You're very fortunate. God has taken an interest in you and wishes you to become one of his priests."

They had expected punishment—not recruitment. Nami was completely confused: "Wait… what's a priest?"

After McKinley's explanation, everyone understood: Enel had discovered that Nami could endure his "Divine Judgment" completely unharmed and immediately wanted her as a new priest to join him in conquering the limitless earth.

"Are you kidding? No way in hell!" Nami rejected him instantly, even sticking out her tongue.

Sol looked up at the sky and defiantly raised his middle finger: "Stupid Enel! Nami is my woman! Wanna die? Come be my underling instead!"

The words seemed to enrage Enel. The sky instantly darkened. McKinley and his men panicked and fled, dragging Conis and Pagaya with them: "This Qinghai person is insane—how dare he insult God!"

In that instant, a terrifying lightning pillar descended from the heavens. But Sol calmly opened his mouth wide and swallowed the entire bolt, then let out a satisfied burp.

"Sol, how did that god notice us so quickly?" Nami asked in astonishment.

"Nothing much. That guy's Observation Haki covers the entire island," Sol said nonchalantly.

McKinley cautiously returned: "Woman, you dare refuse God's invitation! And you—blaspheming the divine! The priests will not let you get away with this!" Then he and his squad fled in terror to report back.
