Chapter 209 - Does Lava Counter Fire?

Unlike Uchiha Jin, whose name had risen in recent battles, the title of "Yellow Flash" was carved into history during the Third Shinobi World War.

Thanks to the Flying Thunder God Technique, Minato Namikaze had possessed unmatched mobility. He had raced across battlefields like a living emergency response unit—wherever the front faltered, he appeared.

That reputation was earned in blood.

Every major village had felt it.

And only those who had been struck by it truly understood the pain.

Aside from Kumogakure and Kirigakure, neither Iwagakure nor Sunagakure had personally suffered at Jin's hands.

Naturally, they feared Minato more.

The Raikage, A, bristled at Rasa's argument.

"I admit Minato is dangerous!" A snapped. "But tell me this—how exactly do you plan to restrain him?"

"With his speed, who here can actually pin him down?"

Silence filled the tent.

They all intended to focus on Minato.

None of them had solved how.

The Flying Thunder God was notoriously unfair.

If Minato didn't want to fight—

No one could force him to.

At that moment, a quiet voice cut through the tension.

"I heard Konoha's Nine-Tails jinchūriki has also been deployed."

The speaker was Sunagakure's elder, Chiyo.

Every gaze turned toward her.

She continued calmly.

"According to our intelligence, the current Nine-Tails jinchūriki shares a… close relationship with the Yellow Flash."

A pointed look slid toward A.

"Years ago, Kumogakure attempted to abduct her. And it was Minato who stopped it, was it not?"

No one needed further clarification.

A crack had just opened in the problem.

Minato's speed was absolute—

But only when he had nothing to protect.

Give the fastest man in the world something he cannot abandon—

And his speed becomes a burden.

Chiyo nodded slightly.

"The Nine-Tails jinchūriki is already a necessary target."

"If we apply additional pressure to her, we simultaneously tether Minato."

"It is an efficient exchange."

One by one, the realization settled.

Even A's expression shifted.

He hated it—

But the logic was undeniable.

"I agree," said Kitsuchi, commander of Iwagakure's army.

Rasa nodded.

"I have no objections."

All eyes turned to A.

After a long moment, he clenched his jaw.

"…Do as you will."

Kumogakure's weakened position left him little room to argue.

Kitsuchi continued.

"Then we must determine who will handle the Nine-Tails jinchūriki and Minato."

"To restrain a jinchūriki, we need someone capable of suppression or sealing."

His gaze shifted directly to Rasa.

The implication was obvious.

Rasa inclined his head.

"I will take that responsibility. My Magnet Release can exert pressure on a Tailed Beast."

Next, Kitsuchi turned to another.

"We require a heavy assault specialist to engage head-on."

"Han."

The Five-Tails jinchūriki, Han, nodded.

"I will handle direct engagement."

"And one more," Kitsuchi said. "A versatile combatant to assist and exploit openings."

Chiyo spoke before he finished.

"I will join."

Her tone was serene.

"My experience exceeds most present. And my poisons… are not easily cured."

She wasn't boasting.

If Minato could be confined within a limited operational radius—

Her layered toxins would become extremely dangerous.

And notably—

Konoha's foremost medical ninja, Tsunade, was not present on this battlefield.

If Minato were poisoned—

Even survival would not guarantee continued combat capability.

Kitsuchi nodded.

"Then it is settled."

The anti-Minato unit was formed.

That left one more matter.

"The Uchiha," Kitsuchi said quietly.

Before anyone else spoke, another voice rose.

"I will handle him."

The Four-Tails jinchūriki, Rōshi, stepped forward.

"I specialize in wide-scale destruction as well."

"And in chakra reserves," he added flatly, "I am a jinchūriki. Does he truly possess more stamina than I do?"

A faint smile tugged at his lips.

"More importantly, I wield Lava Release."

"With the Four-Tails' chakra, I could bathe in magma without harm."

"What effect will mere fire have on me?"

Lava against flame.

A natural counter.

On paper, it made sense.

The room nodded.

They might verbally downplay Jin—

But none of them underestimated him.

The Raikage's condition spoke loudly enough.

Still—

A frowned.

"Not enough."

"Do not forget—he possesses the Mangekyō Sharingan."

He fixed Rōshi with a sharp look.

"You are not a perfect jinchūriki."

Rōshi's expression darkened slightly.

It was true.

The Four-Tails was far less cooperative than Han's Five-Tails.

His control was incomplete.

After a brief pause, Kitsuchi spoke again.

"Then I will support him."

A considered objecting.

But stopped himself.

Iwagakure and Sunagakure had already committed major assets.

Kumogakure had little left to offer.

To complain further would only expose weakness.

Thus, the assignments were finalized.

Minato and Kushina would face suppression and coordinated assault.

Jin would face Lava Release and earth-shattering force.

The trap was set.

At dawn—

The mountains would burn.
