Karl paused for a long second, lightly rubbing his chin.
"My brother handles Warren Corp all by himself," he said thoughtfully. "He isn't particularly sick, but considering how much time he devotes himself to work, there are bound to be a few minor health issues here and there."
"But there's never been anything very serious."
Adelyn listened and nodded in understanding. She wasn't planning to ask anything further.
But then—
Karl suddenly lifted a finger as though he had just remembered something and said,
"Oh, right. Big Brother did have something serious before."
Adelyn immediately turned to look at him, her brows furrowing lightly.
"Serious?" she repeated. "How serious?"
Karl glanced at her before shaking his head rather helplessly. "I'm not really sure. But I remember that I hardly saw Brother when I was younger. We only reunited with him around three years ago."
"Three years?" Adelyn frowned in confusion. "Weren't you always together?"
