System Windows.
A phenomenon that appeared on earth nearly a thousand years ago, in the year 2026.
They appeared around the same time as gifts did. When gates first started opening on earth.
And like that, system windows had become synonymous with gifted as only gifted could access the system window.
Of course thoughout history, there has never been an exception to that except for one person.

"Haa." Ryan sighed in disappointment. "Guess that guy went back on his promise huh." Ryan muttered, still disappointed at the scribbings etched on his gift menu.
These had always been there since he first got the system window. Never had he ever been able to use his gift and to others the window would just show 'Nil', marking him as a non-gifted.
"Haa. Oh well. It's not like it's completely hopeless for me. I can always increase my level limit. Especially with the knowledge I obtained of the future." Ryan said, trying to cheer himself up.
Yes. There was a way to increase level limits.
Level limits had always been a thing in the world of gifted. It determined the general level of strength they would achieve.
Of course in this world, levels weren't the ultimate decider of a person's strength but it was a general indicator of just how strong an individual was going to be.
Hence why those born with a low level limit usually despaired as they were not inherently valued in society. Unlike those with high level limit.
And given there was no way to increase an individual's level limit, low levellers were always treated as somewhat trash characters.
Afterall, even with all the changes, and laws applied in the federation, if one was strong enough, he could simply ignore them and do his own thing to the weak as they would have no way to retaliate.
Anyway, the common knowledge was that it was virtually impossible to increase your level limit, but in the memories of the future he saw, Aaron was able to do just that.
It was a particular gate he had entered, where he found a certain fruit. Now this wasn't just any ordinary fruit. This fruit had the ability to release the limiters of anyone who ate it.
Anyone who eats this fruit can rid them self of any limiter placed on them.
'Maybe even grant a gift to a non-gifted.' Ryan thought.
"Okay then. It's settled. I don't know if the gate has formed yet, but I can just find that out. If it has, and hopefully the fruit is fully formed as well, then the issue of my low level should be solved then." Ryan added as he laid back down on his bed.
[
Just as he lay on the bed, a voice spoke in his ear jolting him awake as he looked left and right searching for the individual.
"Who's there?!" He yelled out, as he reached within his space ring and brought out his katana.
[
The voice said again, in another teasing manner.
"Outside? What do you–?!" Ryan was about to ask but stopped as he realised something.
This whole time, rather than from the room or in his ear, this voice had been coming from his head.
And his eyes widened upon the realisation and he decided to put it to the test. 'You are–'
[
The voice said, as it interrupted Ryan's train of thought.
"I see." Ryan muttered as he sheathed his katana back in it's sheath. "Very well." He added as he calmly sat back down on his bed.
"Well? What is my gift? And how exactly do you plan to help me use it?" Ryan asked as he crossed his leg, his face serious as he asked the question.
[
The voice said, it's tone sound almost marvelled and perplexed at the same time at how easy it was to convince him.
"You said it yourself didn't you? You were sent by him to help me grow stronger as well as utilise my gift. Hence there is no need to be wary of you." Ryan calmly and nonchalantly said, raising his shoulders in an uncaring, nonchalant way.
"Besides, you're in my head already. I doubt there's anything I CAN do to you. At least not right now anyway." Ryan added, making the voice understand why he was so easily willing to accept its explanation.
"So I'll ask again. What CAN you do?"
