Chapter 202 - Chapter 202: An Honest Aiden

Orario in the early morning always carried a hint of cool dampness.

The sky was just beginning to break, and pale cyan light filtered through the gap in the curtains like a gentle spotlight, landing perfectly on Robin's serene, sleeping face.

Her long eyelashes fluttered slightly as she groggily opened her eyes. The lingering haze of sleep still clouded her lake-green pupils, her mind a bit muddled.

But soon, she felt something was wrong.

There was a warm body heat radiating from behind her, and a large hand was unapologetically wrapped around her, resting over the soft curve of her chest, even unconsciously giving her weak point a slight squeeze.

Boom— A brilliant, radiant blush exploded across Robin's cheeks. The bold, lingering scenes from the previous night flashed through her mind like a movie on fast-forward.

Aiden had kept his promise. He had reined in his final desires and hadn't truly "eaten" her. But the skin-to-skin contact, the intertwining of their lips and teeth—that intimacy had been incredibly real.

In the end, the two had simply fallen into a deep sleep, holding each other tightly in that exact posture.

Aiden opened his lazy, sleep-filled eyes and, almost out of pure instinct, squeezed the delightfully soft mound in his hand.

A soft, uncontrollable moan escaped Robin's throat, carrying a lazy, nasal tone.

That sound was like a thunderclap, instantly shattering every trace of sleep from Aiden's mind.

"Stop messing around and hurry back to your own room." Noticing the sky brightening outside the window, Robin urged him with anxious, lowered tones. "Tifa and the others will be waking up soon. What if we're seen?"

"So what if we're seen? What does it matter?"

Aiden acted completely indifferent. Instead of letting go, he hugged her even tighter from behind. "It's not like our relationship is some shameful, underground affair."

He never had any intention of hiding his progress with Robin. While a secret romance sounded thrilling, he preferred keeping things out in the open.

As for whether this would affect his plans to build a harem... please, he had already resolved to build one. Why would he be afraid of this?

He, Aiden, had never hidden his ambitions. He wasn't the type of 'player' or 'serial flirt' who cast a wide net and played ambiguous games with people's hearts. There was nothing to hide. He wanted to be open and upright, to tell everyone in Orario loud and clear—he, Aiden, the biggest cheat in history, was going to build a harem.

"...Fine. If you don't care, then neither do I."

Robin ceased her struggling. On second thought, he was right. They had mutual feelings for each other; there was nothing shameful about it.

She simply turned around, finding a comfortable spot against Aiden's chest, then looked up at him with a half-smile. "So, my dear Captain. Tell me honestly, who else on your hunting list do you have your eyes on besides me?"

"Ahem..."

Aiden fell silent for a moment. Under Robin's piercing 'I can see right through you' gaze, he honestly confessed his ambitions. "Furina, of course. Tifa, Hyacine... yeah, Jeanne counts too."

"You are so brutally honest, I don't even know how to roast you."

Robin let out a helpless sigh, reaching up to gently pinch his ear. "What about Daphne and Cassandra?"

"Them? I really don't have any thoughts in that direction." Aiden spoke frankly. "I just view them as important members of the Familia. Only you girls are special to me."

He wasn't lying. He truly didn't hold romantic feelings for Daphne and Cassandra. His goals were crystal clear: the "waifus" from his past life that he summoned from the system. That affection and admiration, spanning across time and space, was something no one else could match.

"What about those girls from the Loki Familia?"

"Ais and Lefiya, huh..." Aiden shrugged with a helpless expression. "Now that would be a real challenge. We're in different Familias, after all. Who knows what the future holds?"

"See? You're not denying that you have thoughts about them." Robin rolled her eyes at him.

"I'm not denying it," Aiden replied with abnormal candor, without a shred of hesitation.

"You really are... greedy." A hint of reproach crept into Robin's voice. She poked a slender index finger against his chest. "Am I not enough? Whatever style you like, I can give it to you. Whether it's the idol on stage, or in private..."

"I'm sorry, I... I really can't do that." Aiden held her mischievous hand, his blue eyes filled with genuine apology.

"Forget it, I won't make things difficult for you." Robin sighed faintly.

Having spent so much time together, she had thoroughly grasped Aiden's personality. This man had a streak of paranoia in his bones. He tended to go to extremes, and once he committed to an idea, it formed an almost terrifying obsession that he would never let go.

Take the deceased "Silence," Alfia, for example. Robin knew perfectly well how massive an impact she had on Aiden. The power of that unreachable ideal still left her in awe to this day.

So, she knew from the start that demanding Aiden to love only her was an impossible task. There was no use forcing the impossible. She either had to walk away entirely or accept the whole package.

But walk away? If she truly wanted to give up, she wouldn't have half-willingly yielded to Aiden yesterday, and their relationship wouldn't have blossomed to this point.

"My only demand is this," Robin stared into his eyes, her tone more serious than ever before. "When you are with me, you are not allowed to think of anyone else."

"Alright, I promise you."

Aiden gazed deeply into her serious eyes, making a solemn vow. "When I'm with you, my eyes and my heart will only have you."

Receiving a satisfactory answer, the smile returned to Robin's face. She gently pushed against his chest, urging him, "It's daylight. Get up and go back to your own room."

The two slowly sat up in bed.

As Robin prepared to change out of her nightgown, she realized Aiden was still sitting brazenly on the edge of the bed, watching her with great interest. She instantly flushed red, grabbing a pillow and tossing it at him. "Get out, hurry up and get out! I need to change!"

"What's there to be shy about?" Aiden dodged the pillow, muttering under his breath, "It's not like I didn't see it all last night. I even felt it..."

Before he could finish, Robin forcefully shoved him out the door.

Aiden rubbed his nose, sighing internally: A woman's heart truly is as unfathomable as a needle at the bottom of the ocean. Just last night they were incredibly intimate, and she barely had any secrets left in front of him, yet now she was acting this bashful.

He shook his head but didn't push the issue. Just as he turned to open the door to his room, he heard another door open.

Two doors opening, almost perfectly synchronized.

One was his own door, and the other came from next door.

A figure with pink twin-tails, her eyes heavy with sleep, yawned and stretched as she stepped out of the adjacent room.

It was Hyacine.

"Morning, Hyacine." Aiden naturally raised a hand in greeting.

"Good morning, Aiden..." Hyacine replied out of habit, but then, she completely froze.

She blinked, her brain crashing for three full seconds.

Wait a minute, if I remember correctly... the person living next door to me is Robin, right? Aiden's room is over there!

While she stood there petrified, Aiden calmly walked past her, entered his own room, and casually shut the door behind him.

Gulp...

Hyacine swallowed hard, her eyes wide with absolute disbelief as she muttered to herself, "Did... did they really progress that fast? No, no, no, there wasn't a single sound last night. Did I misunderstand something?"

A furious brainstorm erupted in her little head. Did they master the legendary 'Mute Mode'? Or does Aiden's room actually have a soundproofing barrier? That's impossible!

Hyacine's pretty face flushed an uncontrollable red, clearly visualizing some highly inappropriate scenarios.

"Hmm? Hyacine, what's wrong?"

Right at that moment, Tifa's door opened. She looked at Hyacine, who was standing in the middle of the hallway, looking utterly disheveled, her expression bouncing wildly between shock, gossip, and embarrassment. She looked confused.

"N-Nothing!"

Hyacine snapped to attention, vigorously slapping her own cheeks to force herself to calm down. Taking a deep breath, she told herself that she was definitely overthinking things.
