After settling Jonouchi's situation, Kisaragi turned to Yugi.
"Yugi, it's finally time for the two of us. You burned a lot of energy dueling Jonouchi—go rest for a bit," Kisaragi said.
Hearing that, Anzu looked to Yugi as well.
"Yeah, Yugi. We've got three hours before the finals. Hurry and get some rest—we'll come get you when it's time," Anzu urged.
"Okay!" Yugi answered, then headed back to his room.
On the Way Back
"At last… today's the day," Dark Yugi murmured. "I can finally see her true strength."
"Other me… this duel might be the hardest one we've ever fought," Yugi said quietly.
"Yeah. I feel it too," Dark Yugi replied. "But as a Duelist—no matter how strong the enemy is, I have to fight with everything I've got."
Three hours felt neither long nor short. In the blink of an eye, the time arrived.
The Final Duel Begins
Dark Yugi and Kisaragi stepped onto the dueling platform and faced each other.
"Finally!" Jonouchi said, eyes shining. "I've been waiting for this duel."
"Yeah… you can't say for sure who'll win between those two," Mai agreed.
Pegasus stepped forward.
"Both of you have defeated every opponent to reach this stage," he declared. "As the host of Duelist Kingdom, I commend and admire you. Fight with everything you have—leave no regrets."
"Yugi," Kisaragi said, calm but firm, "from the moment we met, I knew you were an excellent Duelist. I've been looking forward to this duel."
"I feel the same," Dark Yugi answered. "Your strength is something I still can't fully grasp. Today—let's fight at full power!"
"I hereby announce the Duelist Kingdom Finals: Kisaragi Aoi versus Mutou Yugi! Duel start!"

"I send The White Stone of Legend to the Graveyard—Lancer Dragonute gains 300!"

"And now I activate White Stone of Legend's effect: when it's sent to the Graveyard, I add Blue-Eyes White Dragon from my Deck to my hand!"
Dark Yugi's eyes narrowed.
So she's using Lancer's discard not just for ATK, but to search Blue-Eyes immediately…
"Again—Lancer Dragonute's effect!" Kisaragi continued.
"I send Blue-Eyes White Dragon to the Graveyard and it gains another 300 ATK!"

"What?! Why would she throw Blue-Eyes into the Graveyard right after getting it?" Jonouchi blurted.
Even Dark Yugi looked momentarily puzzled.
"I Set one card. Turn end." (Cards in hand: 3)
"All right, Yugi—your turn," Kisaragi said.
What is she planning…? Dark Yugi thought.
Dark Yugi's Turn
"My turn—draw!"
"No matter what her plan is," Dark Yugi said, "I'll deal with that Lancer Dragonute first!"
"I Normal Summon Magician's Rod in Attack Position! When it's summoned, I can add 1 Spell/Trap that lists Dark Magician in its text from my Deck to my hand!"
"I choose Bond Between Teacher and Student!"
Kisaragi smiled.
"Yugi… so you're going all-out from the start."
"Of course," Dark Yugi replied. "Against you, holding back is asking for disaster."
"And now I activate the Quick-Play Spell—Dimension Magic!"
Kisaragi's smile deepened, like she'd been waiting for it.
"This card can be activated while I control a Spellcaster," Dark Yugi explained.
"I target 1 monster I control, Tribute it, Special Summon 1 Spellcaster from my hand—then I can destroy 1 monster on the field."
"I Tribute Magician's Rod—Special Summon Dark Magician from my hand!"
A Spellcaster in a purple robe materialized on the field.
Dark Magician (2500/2100)
"Yugi's summoning speed is even faster than when he dueled me," Jonouchi muttered.
"Because it's Kisaragi," Mai said. "If he's even a little slow, he's finished."
"And now—by Dimension Magic's effect, I destroy Lancer Dragonute!"
Lancer Dragonute was wrapped in white-and-gold, magician-like armor—
BOOM!
The armor detonated, and Lancer Dragonute was destroyed.
"Nice! Kisaragi has no monsters now!" Honda cheered.
But Jonouchi frowned.
"This is weird. That doesn't feel like the Kisaragi we know. Normally she wouldn't let her monster get destroyed that easily."
"So that means… she wanted Yugi to destroy it," Bakura said.
"Wanted her monster destroyed…?" Anzu repeated.
"Yeah. That's the only explanation that makes sense," Bakura answered.
Kisaragi's voice cut through the air.
"I activate Lancer Dragonute's effect."
"Just as I thought!" Dark Yugi's nerves tightened.
"When Lancer Dragonute is sent to the Graveyard by an opponent's card effect, I can Special Summon 1 Normal Dragon from my Graveyard!"
"A Normal Dragon… don't tell me—!" Dark Yugi realized instantly.
"Exactly," Kisaragi said. "The Blue-Eyes White Dragon I sent to the Graveyard earlier—just to power up Lancer Dragonute."
She placed a card from her Graveyard onto the field.
"Come forth—Blue-Eyes White Dragon!"
A massive white dragon soared into the sky, then descended to Kisaragi's side.

"So everything earlier was setup… for this," Dark Yugi said, eyes sharp.
Pegasus clapped his hands, delighted.
"A brilliant tactic—use Lancer Dragonute to discard Blue-Eyes into the Graveyard, then use Game Boy's destruction to trigger Lancer and summon Blue-Eyes for free," Pegasus praised. "As expected… her level is different."
