"Not bad, Kaiba," Kisaragi said. "Summoning Blue-Eyes that fast—and you've already set up your escape route too."
"Hmph. As if I'd stay standing still forever!" Kaiba shot back.

The moment Kaiba tried to enter the Battle Phase, Kisaragi cut in.
"I activate Dragonmaid Nudyarl's special effect. At the start of either player's Battle Phase, I can return this card to my hand—then Special Summon 1 Level 8 'Dragonmaid' monster from my hand or Graveyard!"
"What?!" Kaiba's eyes widened. "Summoning a high-level monster in the Battle Phase?!"
"I return Dragonmaid Nudyarl to my hand—then I Special Summon Dragonmaid Ernus from my Graveyard!"
Nudyarl's maid outfit cracked apart like porcelain—her form swelling and reforming into a massive crimson dragon.

"So what?" Kaiba snapped. "Your Ernus is 2700 ATK—still lower than Blue-Eyes!"
"Battle! Blue-Eyes White Dragon, attack Dragonmaid Ernus—Burst Stream of Destruction!"
"I see… so this button flips a set card…" Kisaragi muttered, pressing a control on the Duel Disk like she was casually testing the interface.
"I activate the Quick-Play Spell Life Invasion! I target 1 monster on the field—this turn, that monster's ATK becomes equal to the opponent's Life Points!"
"What—?!"
"I target Dragonmaid Ernus. That means her ATK becomes your Life Points—4000! But when I activate this card, all damage you take this turn is halved!"

"Counterattack, Ernus!" Kisaragi shouted.
"Then I activate Return of the Dragon Lords in my Graveyard!" Kaiba barked. "I banish it—and my Blue-Eyes cannot be destroyed!"
Kaiba raised an arm to shield his face from the shockwave as Ernus's flames slammed into Blue-Eyes.

"And Kaiba—at the end of your Battle Phase, I activate Dragonmaid Ernus's effect. At the end of either player's Battle Phase, I can return this card to my hand—then Special Summon 1 Level 3 'Dragonmaid' monster from my hand!"
