Aoi's voice was calm, almost playful, as if this duel inside the Seal of Orichalcos were nothing more than a small diversion.
"Dealing with you doesn't require me to get serious. Since you're a 'guest' from far away… I'll start by giving you a big present."
"What—?!" Gurimo's eyes widened.
Aoi didn't hesitate.
"I tribute the two Marauding Captains on your field and Special Summon this monster to your field—Lava Golem!"
A surge of molten light erupted from Gurimo's side. Scalding magma boiled up, forming a towering demon of living rock. The two Marauding Captains were seized and melted down into raw heat—
—and Gurimo's body was yanked into the iron cage embedded in the golem's chest, as if the monster itself had "imprisoned" its controller.

"And because of your Seal of Orichalcos…" Aoi's eyes narrowed. "Its attack rises by 500."
The golem's eyes turned blood-red. The magma pulsed hotter.

Aoi's lips curved.
When I beat Malik… I didn't only take The Winged Dragon of Ra. I also took this.
"Happy?" she asked lightly. "A nice 3500-ATK 'gift' for you."
Far away, outside the circle, Seto Kaiba's gaze sharpened.
She used Lava Golem to remove the Captain lock… so the real kill is in those facedowns.
Aoi set three cards.
"Three facedown. End my turn."

Gurimo laughed—too quickly, too greedily.
"Ha… ha… ha! Duel King Aoi, thank you! You gave me such a powerful monster just to break my formation! I'll repay your kindness with interest!"
"My turn—draw!"
"You're celebrating too early," Aoi said.
As if responding to her voice, molten drops slid off Lava Golem's body and splashed down onto Gurimo—inside the cage.
"AAGH!" Gurimo screamed as the heat seared through him.
"Lava Golem's effect," Aoi said coolly. "During its controller's Standby Phase, you take 1000 damage."
"And your Seal of Orichalcos makes duel damage affect the real body… so feel it properly."
Gurimo LP 4000 → 3000
He gritted his teeth, panting. "Tch—Battle! Lava Golem attacks you directly!"
A massive fireball formed in the golem's mouth and blasted toward Aoi.
Aoi didn't flinch.
"I discard Swift Scarecrow. Direct attack damage becomes 0."
A glider-like machine swooped in front of her and took the blast, shredding into sparks.
Gurimo clicked his tongue.
So the facedowns aren't combat traps…
He set a monster facedown.
"I set one monster. End my turn."

Aoi's eyes were sharp.
"At the end of your turn… I flip two cards."
"What?!" Gurimo's face tightened.
Aoi revealed two Continuous Trap cards:
"I activate Eye of Truth and Bad Luck Blast."
"Eye of Truth makes your hand public at all times," Aoi explained. "But each Standby Phase, if you have a Spell in hand, you recover 1000 Life Points."
Gurimo reluctantly spread his hand.
Aoi's smile turned almost amused.
"So you already have Obelisk the Tormentor in hand. How lovely."
"My turn—draw!"
"Bad Luck Blast activates every Standby Phase," Aoi continued. "You randomly show me one card from your hand, and I 'guess' whether it's a Monster, Spell, or Trap. If I'm right, you take 700 damage."
Outside the circle, Kaiba finally exhaled a laugh.
"With Eye of Truth exposed, the 'guess' is always perfect. That's not guessing—it's execution."
One of the other Doma men watching from afar frowned. "That's dirty…"
"The term is cleanly optimized," another muttered.
Aoi's tone sharpened on a single word.
"Alright. Show me one card… so I can 'guess.'"
Gurimo, forced, presented a card.
"It's a Spell," Aoi said immediately.
Bad Luck Blast struck like a curse.
Gurimo LP 3000 → 2300
Gurimo's jaw clenched. He pushed through, trying to stabilize.
"I activate Pot of Greed—draw two!"
He set two cards.
"End my turn." (Hand: 2)
"He's trying to survive," the red-haired Doma member said. "But she's not even attacking—she's just burning him out."
Aoi's expression didn't change.
"My turn—draw."
"Standby Phase: Lava Golem effect. Take 1000 damage."
Molten drops fell again.
Gurimo LP 2300 → 1300
"And because of Eye of Truth…" Gurimo forced out, "I have a Spell, so I recover 1000."

Aoi's eyes went cold.
"Do you really think that helps?"
Gurimo blinked. "What…?"
Aoi pointed to a third Continuous Trap card that had appeared on her field.
"I activated Life Absorbing Machine. While it's face-up, any effect that makes you gain Life Points becomes damage instead."
Gurimo's face drained.
"That means your 'recovery' just became 1000 damage."
Gurimo LP 2300 → 1300 → 300
Gurimo staggered, breathing raggedly. He stared at Aoi like she wasn't human.
Every line I take… she already cut it off.
He clenched his teeth hard enough to hurt.
Then I'll end this now—Obelisk!
"I activate Call of the Haunted!" Gurimo snapped. "I Special Summon Marauding Captain from my Graveyard!"

"Then I tribute three monsters and—!"
Aoi's voice sliced through him.
"You think you can tribute?"
"What—?!"
Aoi revealed a new Continuous Trap.
"I activate Mask of Restrict. While it's face-up, neither player can tribute monsters."
Gurimo froze.
"No…!"
"You can't tribute," Aoi said simply. "So you can't summon Obelisk."
Gurimo's hands shook. His mind went blank for a moment.
Then—desperation.
"Then I'll attack! Lava Golem and Marauding Captain attack directly!"
Aoi smiled like she'd been waiting.
"I activate Mirror Force."
A shockwave exploded. Both attackers were annihilated in a pair of thunderous blasts.
Gurimo's knees hit the ground. His eyes were empty.
Aoi's voice was almost gentle now.
"Next turn. Bad Luck Blast."
Gurimo mechanically held up a card.
"It's a Spell," Aoi said, without even looking at his face.
Gurimo LP 300 → 0
The green circle of Orichalcos trembled.
Aoi Win.
