The next day, Aoi followed Seto Kaiba to KaibaCorp. After they finished handling the necessary arrangements, the two of them were preparing to depart for America—when Mokuba suddenly burst into the office.
"Brother, bad news! Someone is buying up KaibaCorp stock in massive quantities!"
"What?!" Kaiba immediately pulled up the market data on his computer.
"Who the hell can accumulate this much stock without anyone noticing?" Kaiba snarled. "How is this even possible?!"
"Brother, what do we do…?"
Kaiba's eyes narrowed into a blade.
"I won't let you do whatever you want anymore. Anyone who tries to stand in my way—whoever you are—I'll drag you into the light and make you pay."
The phone rang.
Kaiba's glare snapped toward it. "Who is it?!"
A familiar, theatrical voice purred from the other end of the line.
"Long time no see, Kaiba-boy."
"…Pegasus?" Kaiba's tone turned icy.
"That's right. It's me. Did you receive my message?"
Kaiba glanced at the stock chart again—and a realization clicked into place.
"So this is your doing?"
"It's just a small greeting," Pegasus said lightly. "It seems you didn't like it."
Kaiba's anger surged—then he remembered the videotape from yesterday. His expression tightened, suspicion replacing fury.
"…You didn't learn a thing. Still plotting to steal KaibaCorp?"
"Kaiba-boy," Pegasus sighed. "I'd like to have a duel with you again. You'll accept, won't you?"
"As if I'd listen to you."
"No, Kaiba-boy. You can't refuse." Pegasus's voice turned sharp beneath the smile. "If you don't come, I'll dump all of those shares at once. Your stock will crash—and your dream will go up in smoke."
"You bastard!" Kaiba roared.
"You'll come, won't you, Kaiba-boy?" Pegasus asked again, almost singing the words.
Kaiba's fist clenched so hard it trembled. "Fine. I accept your challenge."
"Wonderful!" Pegasus laughed. "Then come to a place you should remember well—Duelist Kingdom. I'll be waiting, Kaiba-boy."
The line went dead.
Aoi exhaled slowly. "Seto… that isn't the real Pegasus."
"I know," Kaiba said coldly. "If I hadn't seen yesterday's tape, I might've believed it."
"So do we go?"
"We go." Kaiba's eyes burned with contempt. "Whoever this is, I'll crush them."
He turned to Mokuba. "Mokuba. Aoi and I are heading to Duelist Kingdom. You stay here and keep KaibaCorp under control."
"I understand, Brother!" Mokuba nodded quickly. "With Aoi by your side, I'm not worried at all."
Kaiba gave a short nod.
On the KaibaCorp rooftop, a jet waited—its entire body sculpted like a Blue-Eyes White Dragon.
Aoi stared at it, the corner of her mouth twitching in amusement.
"Blue-Eyes Jet Dragon… seriously," she muttered under her breath.
Kaiba glanced back. "What? Not satisfied with the design?"
"No," Aoi said quickly, smoothing her expression. "It's… cool. Really cool."
In truth, she'd loved this plane the moment she'd seen it. And the memory of Kaiba's absurdly dramatic "jump out of the jet like it's nothing" moment made her heartbeat pick up.
What is his body made of? she thought, and felt her face warm.
Kaiba caught the change in her tone and allowed the faintest curve to touch his lips.
"Once we resolve this incident," he said, "I'll accelerate construction on KaibaLand."
"KaibaLand?"
"You'll find out later. Get on."
The cockpit had only two seats, both in the "head" of the dragon-shaped jet—Kaiba in front at the controls, Aoi behind him as a passenger.
The jet lifted smoothly.
"Hold on," Kaiba warned—and then shoved the throttle forward.
The craft launched like an arrow.
Aoi's voice rose over the engine's roar. "Seto… this reminds me of when we escaped the virtual world—riding on Blue-Eyes together."
"…Yeah." Kaiba's gaze stayed locked ahead. "Though now that you mention it, I could modify the cockpit. Side-by-side seats would be better."
Aoi smiled. "That wouldn't be bad."
Not long after, the jet descended in front of Pegasus's castle—the Duelist Kingdom grounds.
Kaiba jumped down first, then reached up and caught Aoi as she climbed out. Without even pausing, he opened a storage compartment and pulled out his Duel Disk and Deck.
"Let's go," Kaiba said, eyes cold. "We'll see which rat is playing games."
Aoi nodded and followed him inside.
They entered the grand hall—exactly where the old tournament's duels had taken place.
Pegasus stood atop a Duel platform, grinning.
"You finally came, Kaiba-boy… and Miss Aoi!"
"I'm here," Kaiba said flatly. "Now duel me."
"YES! Let's begin!"
Kaiba's gaze sharpened. "And take off that ridiculous mask. I'm not dueling someone who's too scared to show their real face."
"Hmm?" Pegasus paused—then chuckled.
"Very perceptive, Seto Kaiba."
He reached up and peeled away the disguise.
The "Pegasus" facade fell away, revealing a red-haired young man.
Kaiba's eyes narrowed. "One of the Doma Three Musketeers."
"Correct." The man's smile was thin and venomous. "My name is Amelda. I'm here to take your soul."
His eyes flicked to Aoi, intrigued.
"But I'm curious. My disguise was flawless. How did you know?"
Kaiba snorted. "Aoi isn't just a KaibaCorp shareholder. She's also the largest shareholder of Industrial Illusions. If Pegasus were really buying KaibaCorp stock, she'd know immediately. Which means the caller was a fake."
Amelda's gaze sharpened, something like envy flashing in it.
"So the Duel King is also a major shareholder in both empires," he murmured. "And Kaiba, you keep someone like that at your side… Your luck is obscene."
His smile turned cruel.
"But it ends today."
Amelda snapped open his Duel Disk.
Kaiba did the same, sliding his Deck into place.

"I'll take the first move, Kaiba," Amelda declared.
"My turn. Draw!"
He slammed down a card.
"I activate the Field Spell—The Seal of Orichalcos!"
A green ring descended, forming a glowing magic circle that sealed the battlefield.
Kaiba's eyes narrowed. "So it really is Orichalcos…"
"You know what it means," Amelda said coldly. "No one escapes the seal. The loser's soul is taken."
Kaiba's expression didn't waver—only disdain sharpened.
Amelda continued.
"I Normal Summon Cipher Scout in Attack Position!"
