"Right. Everyone else is isolated right now, with only Joey there. If the enemy attacks—" Yugi began.
Kaiba nodded.
The three of them returned to the area near Professor Hopkins's tour bus, only to find Valon and Raphael waiting there. Around them gathered countless Orichalcos spirits. They had surrounded the others, but had yet to attack.
"Yugi, you're back!" Téa called out.
"Don't move!" Raphael barked.
"What are you trying to do?!" Kaiba roared.
"Nothing much. We simply want to settle things with the three of you once and for all," Raphael said.
"No. The one I'm after is Joey over there," Valon said. "Joey, come duel me over there. Otherwise, I can't promise what these spirits might do to your friends."
Joey frowned.
"Fine. But I've got one condition. If I win, you take all these spirits and leave!" Joey said.
"I accept that condition. But if you want every last one of these spirits to withdraw, you'll have to defeat both me and Raphael at the same time!" Valon replied.
"Tch. Then let's go!" Joey raised his Duel Disk and walked off with Valon.
"And what about you, Raphael? Which one of us are you challenging?" Aoi Kisaragi asked coldly.
"Of course, the one who once handed me defeat. You!" Raphael pointed straight at her.
"This time, I will use every ounce of my strength to defeat you, and then I will offer your soul to our god. That is the fate I cannot escape!" Raphael declared as he unfolded his Duel Disk.
"Fate, is it?" Aoi stepped forward. "Then I hope you don't bore me this time."
She activated her Duel Disk and placed her deck into the slot.
"Duel!" both of them shouted.

As the decisive duel began, the clouds overhead churned with the force of the two duelists' auras.
"Duel King, I'll be taking the first move!"
"From my hand, I activate the Continuous Spell Card, Guardian Treasure!" Raphael declared.
"Not this again," Aoi muttered inwardly.
"I send five cards from my hand to the Graveyard, then draw two cards from my deck. From now on, during my normal draw, I can draw two cards instead of one!"

Aoi flipped over the top card of her deck. When she saw it, she smiled faintly.

"Activate it next turn? Why?" Tristan asked.
"Most Spell and Trap Cards must exist on the field when they activate," Yugi began, only for Kaiba to take over.
"But if the card itself is removed while only its effect is left to activate in the future, then because the Spell or Trap is no longer on the field, the opponent cannot respond to the activated card itself. It also lets her accelerate through her deck and bring her ace monster to her hand sooner."
"Battle. Destiny HERO - Diamond Dude attacks Support Guardian!"
