"She did it! Kisaragi won!" Téa said happily.
Compared to Téa and the others' joy, Yugi's expression was grave.
"Plasma… What a powerful monster. No matter how strong the monster on the opponent's side is, it can absorb that monster and convert it into its own attack power," Yugi thought.
The Seal of Orichalcos slowly contracted until it surrounded only Raphael.
"So in the end, I still…" Raphael slowly closed his eyes, waiting for his soul to be taken.
At that moment, Eatos slowly descended from the sky. Elma, Grarl, and the other Guardian monsters stood together, looking at Raphael. Their expressions were no longer as sinister as before. They had returned to the way they looked when they had first met him.
"Eatos… everyone!" Raphael looked at the companions who had fought beside him and smiled in relief.

A little boy and a little girl appeared on either side of Raphael, each hugging one of his arms.
"Big brother!"
Both children called him that. Raphael looked at the children beside him. At some point, a man and a woman had appeared before Eatos as well, smiling gently at him.
The boy and girl released Raphael and ran to the couple's side. Then, together with the Guardian monsters, they vanished before Raphael's eyes.
Raphael watched the scene unfold. The gemstone pendant on his chest cracked, and the Seal of Orichalcos surrounding him disappeared as well.
"The Seal vanished. What's going on?" Tristan asked.
"Why wasn't my soul taken?" Raphael said.
"Most likely, the Seal of Orichalcos uses the darkness in a person's heart as its foundation," Kisaragi said.
"The darkness in my heart? Then…"
"The darkness in your heart is gone. That's why the Seal of Orichalcos lost its effect. I'd guess you just experienced something incredible," Kisaragi said.
"Yes. Just now, I saw my Duel Monsters before they were corrupted by darkness. I saw my parents, and my younger brother and sister. Eatos brought them to heaven," Raphael said.
"You have failed again, Raphael!"
Dartz's voice rang out from the sky.
"Dartz!" Kisaragi glared upward. Kaiba and Yugi also tensed.
"I told you. If you failed again, then even if your soul was not taken by the Seal, I would personally take it myself!"
As soon as Dartz finished speaking, the Seal of Orichalcos appeared beneath Raphael's feet once more.
"Dartz, before my soul is taken, answer me one thing. Were you involved in the deaths of my family, the death of Alister's brother, and the fire at Valon's monastery?" Raphael demanded.
"Heh heh heh. A mere pawn still wants to struggle? Very well. Before your soul is taken, I will tell you the truth. Yes. I orchestrated all of those deaths, because I needed to awaken the darkness in your hearts!" Dartz said.
"So it really was you!" Raphael glared at the sky.
"Now that you know the truth, your soul shall be received by our god!"
"Aoi Kisaragi!"
Raphael pulled a USB drive from his clothes and threw it to Kisara.
"This contains what you want to know. Now only you can stop Dartz. I believe you can—"
Before Raphael could finish, his soul was taken by Dartz, and his body collapsed before Kisaragi's eyes.
"That's awful…" Téa said, covering her mouth.
"Ha ha ha. Aoi Kisaragi, and the duelists chosen by the Legendary Dragons—what Raphael gave you should be my location. I'll be waiting for you there!"
After Dartz finished speaking, his voice disappeared.
"Dartz!" Kisaragi's eyes burned with anger.
Yugi and Kaiba's expressions were grim as well.
Not far away, another flash of green light appeared.

After settling Valon's body, Joey limped back toward everyone.
"Joey, what happened to you? Weren't you dueling? You look like you went and got into a fistfight!" Tristan said.
"His deck was special. I almost got caught badly," Joey replied.
When Joey saw Raphael collapsed on the ground, he understood everything.
"Kisaragi, you won too," Joey said.
"Yeah. Next, we're going to Doma's headquarters. Joey, is your body all right? If it's too much, stay behind," Kisaragi said.
"Yeah, Joey. The battle ahead will probably be even harder. You shouldn't go," Yugi said.
"I'm a duelist chosen by a Legendary Dragon too! How could I not go?" Joey forced himself to stand, only for the pain in his body to make him drop to one knee again.
"Ow, ow, ow!"
"Hmph. I have no intention of dragging some battered burden around behind us. Injured people should stay in the hospital where they belong!" Kaiba said.
"What did you say?!"
"Enough. Joey, come if you want. You still have your Legendary Dragon, and we'll probably need your strength in the battles ahead."
After Kisaragi said that, she handed the USB drive to Kaiba.
"Take a look. It should tell us where Doma's headquarters is."
Kaiba took the USB drive and inserted it into his handheld computer. After a few seconds of processing, a map appeared on the screen. One location on it was marked with a red dot.
"Looks like this is Dartz's lair. Kaiba, I'm counting on you," Kisaragi said.
"Don't say 'I'm counting on you' to me!"
After saying that, Kaiba spoke into the communicator inside his coat.
"Send a helicopter over."
Fifteen minutes later, Isono landed a helicopter in front of everyone.
"Everyone, let's go. It's time to settle this with Dartz!"
After saying that, Kisaragi was the first to enter the helicopter.
"Don't you think Kisaragi has changed? She seems really angry," Joey asked.
Everyone fell silent. Téa told Joey what had just happened, and after hearing it, Joey was furious as well.
"That bastard Dartz… I'm definitely not letting him get away. How dare he toy with their feelings like that!"
Joey remembered what Valon had told him about his past during their duel.
Kisaragi had known everything all along. But knowing it was one thing. Hearing it happen firsthand, right in front of her, was something else entirely.
"Dartz, if you insist on playing games, then I'll play along to the very end!"
