Chapter 39 - Chapter 39: Barça First Team Assembles!

A few days later, the official start of the La Liga season was only a week away. This was the window for the "Galactico" presentations, the moment when the world's most expensive talents were paraded before their respective fanbases.

At the Santiago Bernabéu in Madrid, Gareth Bale was being unveiled for a world-record fee. Meanwhile, six hundred kilometers away, the atmosphere at the Camp Nou was equally electric.

Inés Valdes stood on the sidelines of the pitch, her microphone bearing the ESPN Sur logo. Beside her, a camera crew from TyC Sports was broadcasting live to millions of Argentinians who had woken up early to witness a moment that felt like a fever dream.

"We are standing on the hallowed grass of the Camp Nou," Inés said, her voice trembling with the magnitude of the event. "Today is not just about the arrival of the Brazilian star, Neymar. Today, Barcelona is unveiling a seventeen-year-old who has become the center of a national scandal in Argentina."

The stadium was packed with nearly forty thousand fans, an incredible turnout for an off-season presentation. The fans were chanting "Neymar! Neymar!" but as the second figure emerged from the tunnel wearing the number 19 jersey, a different kind of buzz rippled through the stands.

"Look at the screen," an Argentinian correspondent whispered to Inés. "He's doing it. He's actually there."

On the massive stadium display, the name LORENZO appeared in bold Blaugrana colors.

"The last Argentinian teenager to generate this much hype at this stadium was Leo Messi," Inés reported. "A month ago, the AFA blacklisted him as a 'distraction.' Today, he is juggling the ball alongside the most expensive signing in the club's history. The fallout in Buenos Aires is going to be catastrophic for the Federation."

Across the country in Madrid, Zinedine Zidane was standing on the Bernabéu pitch, watching Gareth Bale greet the Madrid faithful. His administrative assistant rushed over, handing him a ringing phone.

"Zizou, you need to hear this," the assistant whispered.

Zidane took the phone, stepping away from the cameras. "Yes?"

"He's signed, Zidane. Lorenzo just completed his presentation at the Camp Nou. Tata Martino promoted him directly to the first team. There's no chance of a Castilla loan now."

Zidane stood silent for a long moment, watching Bale juggle the ball. A look of profound professional regret crossed his face. He had seen the "Beast" in person; he knew that Lorenzo was the type of player who could define an era. To see him wearing the rival's colors was a bitter pill to swallow.

"He's in their first team already?" Zidane muttered. "Martino isn't wasting any time."

That afternoon, the Barcelona first-team squad assembled at the Ciutat Esportiva Joan Gamper for the first official joint training session of the season.

The locker room was a cathedral of football history. Xavi, Iniesta, Puyol, and Busquets, the men who had won everything were busy preparing for the medical checks.

Lorenzo sat at his locker, feeling the weight of the environment. He had just finished his physical examination under the supervision of the club's medical staff.

"Your muscle density is... abnormal for a seventeen-year-old," the medical examiner had noted, staring at the data.

As Lorenzo pulled on his training top, a shadow fell over him. He looked up to see Javier Mascherano and Lionel Messi standing there.

"Aimar is still fuming that you chose the Spain U-21s for the summer," Mascherano said with a dry grin, clapping Lorenzo on the shoulder. "But he understands why. He just wants to make sure you haven't forgotten the taste of a good Argentinian asado."

Messi smiled, his expression warm and welcoming. "Welcome to the first team, Lorenzo. It's been a long time since we had a proper 'nine' to hold the ball up for us. David Villa is a legend, but we need someone with your... height."

Lorenzo stood up, shaking Messi's hand. "I'm here to learn, Leo. And to score."

"You'll do plenty of both," Messi replied.

As the squad moved onto the training pitch, Tata Martino gathered them in a circle. The atmosphere was professional, focused, and intense. Martino wanted to finalize his tactical approach before the preseason friendly against Borussia Dortmund.

"Lorenzo! Warm up with the players," Martino called out, gesturing toward the pitch. "I want to see how you move alongside first team before we start the tactical work."

As Lorenzo stepped onto the grass, the System's blue interface flickered in his vision.

Lorenzo's heart skipped a beat. Injury immunity. In a sport as violent and demanding as La Liga, that was the ultimate "Golden Ticket." It meant he could push his body to the absolute limit without the fear of the ACL tears or hamstring pulls that ruined so many legends.

He looked at the defense across from him, Puyol and Mascherano. They looked like they were ready to welcome him with a bruised rib or a late tackle.

"Let's see if the 'Beast' is real," Puyol growled, a competitive glint in his veteran eyes.
