Paul's Farewell
Paul stands quietly before his mother's and father's graves.
He lowers his head.
"Mother… Father…"
"I hope you're both doing well."
A deep breath escapes him.
"I quit the Official Adventurers Organization, Zeror Trav."
He clenches his fists.
"Mother, I know you would be angry."
"You always believed in legal and lawful paths."
His voice trembles.
"But the legal path didn't support me."
"That's why I chose this road."
He bows deeply.
"I'm truly sorry for quitting."
"But I had no other option."
He straightens and looks ahead.
"Father, I know you would support me."
"And I hope… this time too, you're watching over me."
A pause.
"Mother… I hope you understand."
"Thank you… for everything."
Paul turns and walks away.
Duwen's Promise
At home, Duwen kneels in front of his younger siblings.
His little brother and sister look up at him.
"I didn't spend much time with you," Duwen says softly.
"Because I went on a long journey."
He smiles gently.
"But don't worry."
He places his hands on their heads.
"You'll stay with our neighbor, Jaraphine Eli."
"She'll take care of you like I do."
His sister shakes her head.
"But we want to stay with you, Duwen."
His brother nods quickly.
"Yes… we want to live with you."
Duwen closes his eyes.
"I'm sorry… my dear brother and sister."
"This journey is important to me."
He kneels closer.
"I promise I'll come back."
"I'll meet you again after one month."
They look at him seriously.
"Promise us," Salen says.
"Yes—promise," Sofia adds.
Duwen smiles.
"I promise."
He stands, turns once more, and leaves.
Jebrin's Letter
Jebrin sits alone, writing a letter to his older sister.
"I think I'm an orphan."
"My relatives don't want to see me."
"And you're the same."
His pen hesitates.
"No one cares about me."
He exhales.
"Anyway, the real topic—
I'm going on a journey."
"I know you don't care."
"You have a good husband and children."
He finishes.
"Okay. Bye."
He folds the letter without emotion.
Yuna's Choice
Yuna sits beside her grandfather.
"Grandfather…"
"I quit Zeror Trav."
He smiles calmly.
"I know."
"And I'm happy about it."
Yuna nods.
"You were right."
"The government isn't good."
Her voice softens.
"I didn't believe you before."
"Now I understand."
She hesitates.
"Can you take care of my mother and little brother?"
Her grandfather sighs.
"My health isn't good, Yuna."
"Your mother will recover in a year, and the doctor visits every day."
He shakes his head gently.
"But I don't have the strength to take care of your brother."
Yuna lowers her head.
"I understand… Grandfather."
She straightens.
"Then I'll take my brother with me."
The Invitation
Yuna enters her brother's room.
"Hey, Kevin."
"Do you want to go on a journey with me?"
Kevin's eyes shine.
"Of course!"
"Yes, I want to!"
Yuna laughs softly.
"Good."
"Tomorrow we leave—so be ready."
"Okay, Big Sis!" Kevin says happily.
Yuna smiles and leaves the room.
She peeks into her mother's room—
her mother is sleeping peacefully.
Yuna closes the door quietly.
At the Station
The next day, everyone gathers at the train station.
Bilives, Duwen, Paul, and Jebrin suddenly notice Kevin.
They freeze.
"Huh…?" Bilives says.
"Yuna…?"
Yuna rubs the back of her head.
"Sorry about this."
"I have… complicated family problems."
Bilives smiles calmly.
"It's okay."
"We understand."
The group stands together.
A new journey begins.
Yuna and her friends decided to go to the 7th office of Nightglass Covenant.
Bilives said,
"Hey, what should we name our group?"
Duwen suggested,
"Platinum Adventurers."
Bilives shook his head.
"No, no. That's not good. If we call ourselves that, others will think we're Official Adventurers."
Paul nodded.
"Yeah, Bilives is right."
Jebrin rolled his eyes.
"Oh, come on! Don't overthink it. We can choose the name later in Nightglass Covenant."
Everyone agreed, but Bilives remained unconvinced.
"I think they won't give us much time to pick a name properly," he said.
Duwen laughed.
"Oh, come on, Bilives, you're overthinking again."
Meanwhile, the scene shifted to the Wardens and Oracles.
Sali and her team were in the 10th office of Nightglass Covenant when Lorenz noticed a bandit group attacking an old merchant.
The merchant's name was Danwin Thuster.
Sali immediately commanded,
"Wardens, attack the bandits!"
Alrick and his friends didn't hesitate—they followed the order. In just five minutes, they defeated the bandits.
Sali was impressed.
"Good! Very, very good. I really appreciate you all. The government was right—you're extremely useful."
Lorenz nodded.
"I'm impressed by your coordination in combat. Your teamwork is excellent."
Gel added,
"Yeah, you're all really strong."
The Wardens were happy to hear such praise.
Meanwhile, in the 9th office of Nightglass Covenant, Black ViSage refused the landlord's job.
"I don't think I'll take this mission," he said. "I don't want to fight against assassins."
Suddenly, a man appeared and said,
"Hey, Mr. Black ViSage. I want you to do a job for me."
Black ViSage asked,
"What kind of job?"
The man replied,
"Ah… I want to meet my brother. He works as a cleaner in the 7th office of Nightglass Covenant. But he said the Covenant is dangerous, so I can't go there alone. I need you to come with me. I'll pay 10 gold coins as a reward."
Black ViSage tilted his head.
"Okay, I'll accept your job. But how do you know my name is Black ViSage?"
The man smiled.
"The receptionist said you're a good person, perfect for this job."
Black ViSage glanced at the male receptionist and noticed he didn't seem to think badly of him.
"Alright, let's go," he said.
The man introduced himself.
"I'm Park Di."
Black ViSage asked,
"Why do you want to meet your brother?"
Park replied,
"Huh… I want to give him lunch. He doesn't eat well, so I thought I'd bring him a proper meal."
As they walked, Black ViSage noticed members of the Dancing Hollows. One of them, Silvana, was teaching techniques to weaker adventurers.
He also saw that both Dancing Hollows and Night Hunters had opened academies where adventurers could practice and learn how to become stronger. Black ViSage smiled to himself.
"This is good… perfect for new adventurers," he thought.
Black ViSage turned to Park.
"Hey, Mr. Park Di, I know a shortcut. It will get us to the 7th office quickly."
Park nodded.
"Okay, let's go."
Black ViSage led him into the deepest part of the jungle. Five minutes later, they arrived right in front of the 7th office.
Park spotted his brother immediately. He ran forward and hugged him.
"Why didn't you meet with me?"
His brother smiled and said,
"Hey, calm down. There are a lot of people watching."
"Oh, sorry," Park said, letting go.
Black ViSage cleared his throat.
"My job is done. Give me my reward."
Park handed him the 10 gold coins.
Black ViSage nodded and left.
