Chapter 9 - Chapter 9 Condemned by All

  "Yi'er! Come here!"

Tang San turned around, looking at Jiang Yi, his tone much gentler.

Just as the Abyss Saint King had thought, Jiang Yi's importance was greatly elevated at this moment, even he found Jiang Yi much more agreeable.

This child is like me, he will surely achieve great things in the future!

  "Yes!"

Jiang Yi took two steps forward, only to see Tang San raise his hand and point a finger at his forehead. Divine light suddenly shone brightly, and his vision instantly turned into a white blur. In a daze, Jiang Yi seemed to have stepped into a mysterious realm.

Tang San held the Trident of the Sea God, standing in mid-air, his gaze lowered, looking down at Jiang Yi.

"As your father, I am far away in the God Realm and cannot offer you much help. I will teach you this halberd technique for self-defense."

"When the grand plan of ten thousand years is completed, the position of Sea God will surely belong to you!"

Tang San offered a promise, and as his spy, maintaining Jiang Yi's loyalty was crucial.

After speaking, Tang San said no more. Gripping the Trident of the Sea God, his gentle and approachable demeanor transformed, and a sharp aura, as if piercing the heavens and earth, appeared on his body.

He pointed the trident tip, and thousands of golden rays burst forth, only to converge into a single line in an instant.

  Boom!

The Trident of the Sea God thrust out, a massive golden trident piercing the sky, causing the heavens and earth to tremble, as if this single strike would pierce the clouds.

In that instant, Jiang Yi felt as if a thousand-pound sharpness was pointing at him, threatening to pierce his body, causing his mind to become dizzy.

  A Thousand Points!

This was Tang San's modified version of the original Thirteen Tridents of the Sea God, a beginner's technique.

The golden trident shadow pierced towards Jiang Yi, but just before striking, it suddenly withdrew its power, transforming into a golden mark that sank into his forehead.

He didn't know how much time had passed before Jiang Yi awoke from that heaven-piercing state of mind.

  "Hoo!"

Jiang Yi let out a long breath, and when he opened his eyes again, he was back in reality.

"If you have any urgent business, you can activate the Sea God's mark on your forehead, and your father will appear."

Tang San's divine sense entered the Sea God's Trident and then merged into Tang Wuling's body, leaving Jiang Yi with only a word of advice.

He naturally wouldn't be unprepared for Jiang Yi, an insider who knew his grand plan for millennia.

The Sea God's Mark was both a means of self-preservation left to him and a medium to monitor Jiang Yi. If Jiang Yi showed any disloyalty, he would make him understand what the Sea God's wrath meant.

  "I will obey Father's teachings!"

Jiang Yi shook his head, dispelling the confusion in his mind, and then respectfully bowed to the vanished Tang San.

He didn't care about the Sea God's Mark; with the system, having two more wouldn't matter.

Afterward, Jiang Yi didn't linger, transforming into a streak of light and disappearing into the night.

  ...

[Ding! Congratulations, host, you have obtained the cosmic coordinates of the Crimson Plane!]

In the dormitory, Jiang Yi lay on his bed and opened the system treasure chest he had just opened.

  "???"

Jiang Yi rolled his eyes. This is my second grandmother's house, and I still need you to give me coordinates.

"Never mind! I might need it later."

Jiang Yi shook his head, no longer dwelling on it, and calmed down to review tonight's actions.

"I can't take such risks again,"

Jiang Yi reflected to himself. Tonight had been incredibly dangerous.

The accidental encounter between the Abyss Saint and Tang San was entirely his doing, but the outcome was beyond his control.

If the two had truly met face-to-face, Jiang Yi would have had no room for maneuver; he would have had to choose a side.

However, high risk, high reward—his gains were also extremely high.

By taking advantage of both Tang San and the Abyss, plus the system rewards, Jiang Yi had essentially won four big prizes.

"Perhaps I should also recruit some traitors?"

Jiang Yi thought, stroking his chin. Loyalty was impossible; if he didn't get any gold coins from his godfather, what was the point of worshipping him?

However, he couldn't always be the one to personally take the lead.

This time, Tang San thought it was his mistake, but if he continued like this, the other side would definitely become suspicious.

Too many coincidences wouldn't be coincidences anymore.

If someone could quietly "leak" information between both sides, that would be ideal.

With these thoughts about the future, Jiang Yi slowly drifted off to sleep.

It's too early to think about these things now. His most important task right now is to improve his strength. Only then will he be able to unleash his power and stir up the storm.

  ...

  The next day, early morning.

Jiang Yi wielded his halberd, wielding it and creating streaks of light in the air, the wind whipping up countless fallen leaves from the trees.

"Phew! The task is arduous and the road ahead is long!"

Jiang Yi sheathed his halberd and let out a long breath. "A Thousand Points Pointing" wasn't just a divine skill; it also contained the foundation of countless halberd techniques.

It was a one-size-fits-all approach; once mastered, his halberd skills would be considered highly proficient at the "technique" level.

"Damn! You've been secretly working hard behind my back!"

A strange shout suddenly came from the second floor.

Xie Xie, holding a water glass, poked his head out with foamy teeth, spraying toothpaste far away.

Their relationship had improved considerably recently, and Xie Xie was gradually revealing his goofy nature.

"It's almost eight o'clock...you'd better hurry up, or you'll be late."

Jiang Yi rolled his eyes and said irritably, "Could it be that you got up too late?

No wonder you have twin martial souls, and even innate full soul power, yet your soul power is only level eighteen. A disgrace to twin martial souls!

Wu Siduo next door is probably almost level thirty by now.

How can you sleep at your age?"

  "What? So late?"

Xie Xie's expression changed upon hearing this, and he quickly sped up his washing up.

Others might not know, but he was well aware of Wu Changkong's formidable reputation.

  ...

  A dozen minutes later.

  "Ring ring ring..."

The bell rang, and two figures rushed in.

  "I...I almost missed it!"

Xie Xie slumped into his seat, panting heavily.

"What's the rush...as long as you run faster than the teacher."

Jiang Yi remained calm, raising an eyebrow and gesturing towards the classroom door. Wu Changkong also entered just as the bell rang.

He had been following behind them when they ran over.

"You don't understand! Teacher Wu, that's this..."

Xie Xie lowered his head and made a mysterious gesture towards Jiang Yi.

"Girls call him the Cold-Faced God, but boys call him the Cold-Faced Asura! He's a Soul Emperor, so guess why he's teaching first grade?"

"Because last month, he broke a teacher's leg in the advanced class..."

Xie Xie had an indescribable expression on his face, as if Wu Changkong were some kind of human weapon.

  "Quiet!"

A cold voice came from the podium. Wu Changkong's gaze swept across the class, lingering especially on Xie Xie.

Did he really think he couldn't hear him?

  "Thump!"

The boy with the double daggers jolted, instantly sitting up straight, not daring to say another word.

"Starting today, classes will officially begin. I will personally instruct you in most of your courses."

Wu Changkong stopped pressing Xie Xie and announced calmly.

Soul Masters are more focused on practical combat, unlike other professions that require different theoretical courses. Teachers usually take on multiple roles.

  "Everyone stand up!"

Wu Changkong shouted coldly, and everyone immediately stood up.

"Today's first lesson is practical training. Follow me!"

Wu Changkong turned and led all the students towards the training ground.

The group was completely silent, only the rustling of their footsteps could be heard.

Soon, they arrived at the training ground.

Wu Changkong stared at the haphazardly arranged group before him, his brow furrowed slightly, but he suppressed his dissatisfaction.

"Next, we'll have a skills demonstration. You'll pair up and spar with each other!"

Wu Changkong said coldly, then his gaze fell directly on Xie Xie, who was hiding at the back of the group.

"First group, Xie Xie versus Tang Wuling!"
