Chapter 3 - CHAPTER 3

The Beasts Pirates

Wano Country, Onigashima.

As one of the Four Emperors ruling the New World, the Beasts Pirates' stronghold could truly be called a paradise for the crew's members.

In the past, only one theme dominated this place:

Banquets.

Drinking, feasting, brawling, and endless revelry.

As both the biggest instigator and most enthusiastic participant of every banquet, Queen one of the Three All-Stars was easily the most lively and popular figure across the entire crew.

But three months ago, everything changed.

The laughter disappeared.

The music stopped.

Even Queen, who loved partying more than anything, vanished from the banquet halls.

In its place came a single iron order from the Governor-General of the Beasts Pirates:

Kaido.

All celebrations were banned.

All members were ordered into high-intensity training.

From Gifters to Headliners, from the Tobiroppo to the All-Stars the entire crew entered a state of combat readiness.

The atmosphere across the seas tightened instantly.

After all, when a Yonko crew known for chaos suddenly became disciplined, it was far more terrifying than open aggression.

Especially for the Marines.

The moment intelligence reported that the Beasts Pirates were mobilizing, Marine Headquarters went on high alert.

Every New World base raised its guard.

Cipher Pol agents increased surveillance.

Even the World Government began watching Wano more closely.

Yet no matter how hard they investigated, they found nothing.

The Three All-Stars disappeared from the seas.

The Tobiroppo vanished from public view.

Even Kaido himself had not been seen for months.

This only made things worse.

An unseen Yonko was far more frightening than a visible one.

Fortunately, today three months later CP agents hidden inside Wano finally saw movement again.

Kaido had returned.

And with him…

The All-Stars.

The Tobiroppo.

From afar, the agents couldn't explain why, but something felt different.

The aura of these pirates had subtly changed.

Heavier.

Sharper.

More dangerous.

Onigashima.

Inside the giant skull dome.

At the top floor of Kaido's castle, within a massive hall adorned with beast skulls and iron pillars, the Beasts Pirates' upper ranks had gathered.

The Three All-Stars.

And the six Tobiroppo.

These were the true pillars of Kaido's crew.

As veterans who had fought side by side for years, they could all sense it.

Everyone here had changed over the past three months.

But…

"Oi, Queen… did you actually lose weight?"

Jack, the youngest All-Star, stared at Queen in confusion.

Despite Jack's fearsome reputation across the seas, in front of King and Queen, he still behaved like a blunt younger brother.

"Of course I did, you idiot!"

Queen clenched his fists proudly, mechanical arms whirring as joints cracked loudly.

"I've been training like crazy! I even stopped eating oshiruko for months… you know how painful that is?!"

He sniffed dramatically, almost tearing up.

Watching this ridiculous scene, Ulti rolled her eyes in irritation and turned toward the quiet figure seated at the long table.

King.

"Hey, King! Didn't Kaido tell you anything?"

Her tone was blunt and impatient.

"He suddenly orders all of us to train like maniacs for three months, gives zero explanation, and disappears. What the hell is he thinking?"

Her question drew everyone's attention.

All eyes turned toward King.

Because everyone here knew one thing:

If anyone understood Kaido's intentions, it would be him.

As for Ulti's casual attitude, no one found it strange.

That was just how she was.

Unfortunately, King slowly shook his head.

His voice was calm, deep, and cold.

"Don't ask unnecessary questions."

"When the time comes, Kaido-san will speak."

"Until then, we obey."

Ulti clicked her tongue and looked away, clearly annoyed.

"Tch… so mysterious…"

A low chuckle suddenly came from the side.

Who's-Who leaned against a pillar, arms crossed, eyes glinting behind his mask.

"You brats don't realize how crazy this looks from the outside."

"The entire sea is buzzing because of us."

"The Marines are practically losing sleep."

"They think the Beasts Pirates are preparing for a massive war."

His tone was half-mocking.

Even among this group of battle-hungry monsters, they all understood reality.

A full-scale war with the Marines wasn't something to joke about.

Even Yonko had limits.

But at that exact moment

A deep, familiar voice echoed through the hall.

"That's right."

The temperature of the room seemed to drop instantly.

"We are going to war."

"A war that will shake the world itself."

Boom.

Every single person in the hall stood up.

Their expressions changed instantly.

Shock.

Excitement.

Fear.

Reverence.

Heavy footsteps echoed across the stone floor.

A towering figure walked toward the throne at the end of the hall.

Horns curved like a demon.

Kanabo resting on his shoulder.

Eyes like a drunk god of destruction.

Kaido.

Voices rang out instinctively.

"Kaido-san!"

"Boss Kaido!"

"Governor-General!"

Some shouted with loyalty.

Some with excitement.

Some with instinctive fear.

Kaido dropped heavily onto the massive throne carved from stone and bone.

But unlike the past, his face showed little joy.

Because he remembered something clearly.

In the future he knew…

The downfall of the Beasts Pirates wasn't caused by a single factor.

Yes, fate played a role.

Yes, enemies were extraordinary.

But the biggest problem had always been internal.

Arrogance.

Disunity.

Carelessness.

A Yonko crew collapsing from within.

And worst of all

Many of their own forces fell to chaos caused by their own side during the raid on Onigashima.

That memory alone was enough to make his mood darken.

Looking at the elite gathered before him, Kaido's expression turned cold.

To be blunt

Aside from King, most of them were powerful, but reckless.

Monsters without restraint.

A terrifying aura slowly spread across the hall.

"I told you to train for three months."

His voice was calm.

Too calm.

"So why…"

"…do I barely feel any growth from you?"

The pressure in the room exploded instantly.

Even Ulti froze.

Queen's mechanical spine stiffened.

Jack instinctively clenched his fists.

No one dared speak.

They could all feel it.

Kaido was angry.

Truly angry.

Queen opened his mouth, trying to smooth things over.

But before he could speak

Kaido's gaze swept across them like a blade.

Cold.

Heavy.

Oppressive.

"If you won't push yourselves…"

"…then I'll do it myself."

"For the next few months"

His grip tightened around the kanabo.

"Prepare to face death."

Cold sweat instantly covered the room.

Because every single person here understood one thing.

Kaido wasn't exaggerating.

If he said death

He meant it.

Among everyone present, only one person didn't waver.

King.

The only man who had stood beside Kaido since the beginning.

The only subordinate who understood the weight Kaido carried.

He knew this change wasn't random.

Especially after hearing those words about war.

Stepping forward slightly, King spoke in a low voice.

"…Kaido-san."

"Did something happen?"

Kaido's gaze softened ever so slightly.

Among this chaotic crew, King was the one he trusted most.

Not just because of loyalty

But because of understanding.

Looking at the others, Kaido spoke slowly, his tone heavy.

"The era born from Roger… is nearing its turning point."

"And when that moment comes…"

His eyes darkened.

"The world will change."

"I don't intend for my crew to be buried by that tide."

Silence.

The room froze.

Roger's era… ending?

That meant the Great Pirate Era itself would transform.

And if the era changed

So would the fate of every Yonko.

Even monsters could be swallowed by history.

King's eyes narrowed slightly.

For the first time, unease appeared in his usually calm expression.

"…What do you mean, Kaido-san?"

Kaido didn't answer immediately.

Instead, his gaze shifted across the room.

Stopping briefly on Jack.

Then moving to Who's-Who.

Finally, he spoke.

"Jack."

His voice was absolute.

"Go to the Flower Capital."

"And bring me Komurasaki."

The hall fell silent once more.

Because everyone in Wano knew that name.

The oiran who once shook the Flower Capital.

The woman tied to the shogun himself.

And now

Kaido wanted her brought here personally.

Which could only mean one thing.

The storm over Wano…

Was about to begin.
