"There is nothing under this name she gave me. So, I suppose she gave me a fake name? But why?" K sounded so frustrated.
"I would think it is because she has something to hide." Caesar answered with a hint of mocking in his tone. His eyes were glued to the computer screen.
K let out an audible sigh of distress, "I see." He commented choosing to ignore the mocking, paging through the information he had gathered. "The auction house had no records of her, not even a name. I am, however, inclined to believe they were not being very open with me."
Caesar tore his eyes from the monitor to his aide, catching the implication of his words. His brow arched in question, so K elaborated. "You know he would go through any lengths to get to you. I mean think about it, Richardson had made his stance known. The man made a show of being neutral and unbiased, yet he chooses to invite you to that place under the guise of business which was never really conducted. I just find it peculiar."
