Ten minutes after the battle began, the outcome among the underlings was decided.
The Moonlight Pirates were nearly annihilated.
Moria's first mate had drawn Queen as his opponent. And the Queen, fighting purely to vent his frustration, showed no restraint.
The result—
Defeat. Execution.
As for the rest of the Moonlight crew, they had long relied on Moria carrying them through battles. Their individual strength was mediocre at best.
They became Bai Feng's harvest.
Sixty-nine members in total.
Thirty-nine were personally killed by Bai Feng.
And not only were most of those thirty-nine bisected at the waist—
Even their corpses were burned away by Underworld Flame, reduced to pure life energy and absorbed into his body.
The remaining survivors were largely cut down by the Beast Pirates, becoming war merits.
Had Bai Feng not, after killing to his fill, requested that a few be left alive—
The Moonlight Pirates would have been completely wiped out.
Even so—
Only two survived.
By the time Moria noticed—
His companions were almost entirely gone.
"Burke… Shawn… Toby… Benedict…"
Name after name left his lips.
No one answered.
"Ah… AHHHH—!!"
His scream tore across the snowfield.
Pain. Despair. Rage.
His eyes bloodshot, veins bulging across his massive frame.
He stomped forward, cracking the frozen earth, snow erupting into the air.
Gripping his massive cleaver with both hands, he launched a suicidal barrage at Kaido.
"Kaido!! I'll kill you!!"
"Wororororo!!"
Kaido laughed as he countered the frenzy.
"Gecko Moria! Your crew's quality is lacking! They're no match for my men!"
The mockery only made Moria's attacks more reckless—
More direct.
More predictable.
Kaido's grin widened.
A red glint flashed in his eyes.
Crimson-black lightning exploded outward like blooming petals—his Conqueror's Haki.
Layered atop it were violet arcs of electricity and flowing Armament Haki.
Triple coating.
His kanabo, Hassaikai, gleamed with overwhelming force.
And then—
Bai Feng noticed something else.
A faint red glow flickered along Kaido's arm.
Three pulses.
His right arm's muscles swelled slightly.
A charge.
"Thunder Bagua!!"
The kanabo tore through the air with a shriek.
It caught Moria mid-swing—
And smashed directly into his face.
His elongated face twisted grotesquely.
Teeth flew.
Blood erupted.
BOOM!!!
Three concentric shock rings detonated across the ground.
Moria blasted backward like a cannonball, disappearing into the distance—
Until a distant mountain collapsed with a thunderous roar.
"Worororo…"
Kaido looked toward the fallen hill and lazily pointed.
"Go. Bring that brat back alive."
The war ended absurdly fast.
Whether Moria sought to step over Kaido's corpse for fame—
Or believed he was "saving" Wano—
From first sight to final blow, the battle lasted less than thirty minutes.
Travel time had exceeded combat time.
Yet—
For Kouzuki Oden—
This had been a golden opportunity.
With his Admiral-tier Observation Haki, he could not possibly have failed to sense such a large-scale battle.
He could have assassinated Orochi.
Rallied Wano.
Struck Onigashima.
Even if Kaido returned swiftly, Oden would at least have forced a decisive confrontation.
But Oden did nothing.
He remained immersed in Orochi and Kaido's lie—
Dancing his ridiculous naked dance in the Flower Capital.
Back on Onigashima.
After cleaning the battlefield, Kaido returned with his forces.
Moria and his two surviving subordinates—barely alive—were thrown into prison cells.
Then Kaido summoned King, Queen, and Bai Feng into the council chamber.
Kaido sat at the head.
His gaze locked unapologetically onto Bai Feng.
"Brat. You've been under me for two years now. Have you condensed a new jewel yet?"
"No."
"…What did you say?"
Kaido's eyes widened.
A mountain-like pressure erupted from him.
Crimson-black lightning crackled violently through the chamber.
Bai Feng ignored the Conqueror's Haki entirely and answered calmly:
"That Vaal Hazak gem I gave you back then was a show of value. A bargaining chip."
"Once I secured my position under you, prioritizing my own growth became more important."
"For the past two years, every ounce of leyline energy I absorbed has gone toward developing my own fruit potential."
"The jewels you want?"
"I don't have a single one. Not even the lowest-grade."
His blunt honesty—bordering on shamelessness—
Instantly ignited Kaido's fury.
Even denser Conqueror's Haki burst outward.
Thick red-black lightning tore into the ceiling, walls, and floor.
Cracks split stone.
The chamber trembled.
Even Bai Feng, who had once faced the Three Forbidden Monsters of his previous world, felt pressure.
Queen, standing nearby, trembled visibly.
For two years, he had overseen Bai Feng's growth.
Somewhere along the way—
The brat had become indispensable.
Despite his fear, Queen stepped forward, placing himself between Kaido and Bai Feng.
"Uh… Kaido-sama… no need to get that angry…"
"Bai Feng's still a kid. Prioritizing his growth makes sense."
"If you think about it—higher potential now means greater returns later."
"Consider the lack of jewels an investment in the future."
Kaido narrowed his dragon-like eyes at Queen.
"Queen… you've changed."
"The old you wouldn't defend a brat like this."
