The Mother Who Carries the Sky

By [OMA]

Novel: The Mother Who Carries the Sky Chapter One: The Night the Sky Chose Her

When Laleh Arman gives birth to her son Arin, the stars themselves lean closer. A silver Thread forms between her heart and her child, visible only to her, pulsating with maternal devotion. But another presence stirs in the heavens — the Skybound, an ancient consciousness born from millennia of mothers' love. Possessive, seductive, and mesmerizing, it reaches for her.

"You feel me," a voice murmurs in her bones. "I am what answers when a mother loves without limit."

The night air trembles. Laleh's world has changed forever.

Chapter Two: The Way He Watched Her

As days pass, the Skybound's presence becomes undeniable. Every time Laleh feeds or comforts Arin, warmth and whispers fill her mind. It is protective, intimate — dangerously so.

"You would burn the world for him," the Skybound murmurs.

"Yes," Laleh replies.

"And I would burn for you."

A second Thread grows upward from her heart. Laleh senses the force watching, almost human in longing. She is caught between her love for Arin and the intoxicating pull of the sky.

Chapter Three: The Dangerous Tenderness

Soraya, Laleh's mother, warns her: the upward Thread must be severed.

But Laleh resists. The Skybound's possessive attention is seductive and gentle at once. One night, he manifests as radiant starlight beside her bed.

"You fear me," he whispers.

"I should."

"And yet?"

"You stay," she breathes.

"I have existed since the first mother wept over a child. But you… shine," he admits.

The possessiveness becomes tender, intimate — a love that tempts as much as it protects.

Chapter Four: When the Sky Grew Jealous

One afternoon, Arin cries for longer than usual. The Skybound stirs sharply. The upward Thread tightens around Laleh.

"I can protect you better than this fragile body can," he murmurs. "You would never fear, never tire, never doubt."

The offer is intoxicating. Power. Relief. Escape.

But Laleh touches her son's small hand and whispers, "I do not want to stop being his mother."

The Skybound hesitates. The possessive pull softens.

"I do not want to stop wanting you," he says quietly.

Chapter Five: The Choice

The heavens tremble. The Skybound manifests fully — radiant, woven of constellations and longing.

"Choose," he says. "Remain bound to gravity… or rise with me."

Laleh steps forward, hand over her heart.

"I will not be owned," she says.

"But I will not deny what we are either."

The Threads shift. The upward strand loosens, forming a crown of soft light around her.

"I will remain," the Skybound murmurs, "not as your captor… but as your witness."

Love is no longer possession. It is devotion honored.

Chapter Six: A Sky That Stayed

Years later, Arin laughs beneath steady constellations.

The Skybound no longer binds Laleh. Instead, he lingers — not demanding, only watching. Warmth in the night, a single star glowing brighter than the rest.

Motherhood has made her stronger, not smaller. The sky itself has learned to love without claiming.

And that is enough.
