The sanctuary skies glowed brighter than they had in centuries.
Tiny Balance creatures drifted through the floating city like newborn stars, their soft golden light reflecting across crystal towers and silver bridges. Wherever they passed, damaged structures healed rapidly beneath streams of living energy.
For the first time since the war…
the sanctuary looked alive again.
Not merely repaired. Alive.
Luke stood quietly on the observation balcony while dozens of the tiny beings circled around him curiously.
One perched on his shoulder.
Another rested atop his head.
Several hovered around his hands chirping softly in strange musical tones.
Luke laughed helplessly.
"Okay, this is a little weird."
The Father of All watched the scene with an expression balanced between wonder and concern.
"Impossible…" he murmured quietly.
Luke looked toward him.
"What?"
The old creator slowly approached one floating creature carefully.
"These beings are called Luminals."
The tiny creature tilted its glowing body curiously at him.
"They were born directly from the Heart during the First Age."
Luke blinked slightly. "So they're… alive?"
The Father of All nodded once.
"Very much so."
One Luminal drifted toward the old creator before suddenly hiding behind Luke instead.
The ancient being looked mildly offended.
Luke snorted softly.
"It doesn't like you."
"I created galaxies before your species learned fire."
The Luminal chirped aggressively.
Luke burst into laughter.
For a moment… everything felt normal.
But elsewhere in the sanctuary, panic had already begun spreading quietly among the Sentinels and ancient guardians.
Because Luminals only appeared during periods of massive Balance shifts.
The last time they emerged fully…
entire realities were rewritten afterward.
Lucien arrived minutes later surrounded by infernal shadows that vanished the moment he stepped onto the balcony.
The Prince of Hell stopped immediately upon seeing Luke absolutely covered in tiny glowing creatures.
One sat in his hair, two slept inside his sleeves.
Another floated upside down directly in front of his face.
Luke looked over awkwardly.
"…Hi."
Lucien stared blankly for several seconds.
Then finally:
"Why are there glowing things attached to my child?"
The Father of All sighed quietly.
"They attached themselves willingly."
"That does not answer my question."
One Luminal suddenly zipped toward Lucien aggressively.
The Demon Prince narrowed his eyes instantly.
The creature bonked directly into his forehead which makes Luke gasped.
The Father of All looked horrified, the luminal chirped proudly afterward.
Silence followed.
Then Lucien slowly looked toward the tiny creature hovering before him.
"…Did it just attack me?"
Luke completely lost control laughing.
Even the Father of All turned away suspiciously to hide amusement.
Lucien looked deeply betrayed.
Eventually the Luminals settled somewhat, drifting peacefully around the balcony instead of swarming Luke completely.
The Father of All became serious again afterward.
"This changes things."
Lucien folded his arms immediately. "I dislike when you say sentences like that."
The old creator ignored him.
"The Heart has begun externalizing Luke's emotional equilibrium."
Luke blinked. "My what?"
Lucien translated flatly.
"Your feelings are accidentally creating life now."
Luke froze. "…What?"
The Father of All nodded grimly.
"The Luminals are manifestations of Balance responding to emotional harmony."
Luke stared at the glowing creatures surrounding him with growing alarm.
"I made these?"
"Unconsciously."
Luke immediately pointed at one nearby.
"Can I unmake them?"
The Luminal chirped sadly.
Luke panicked instantly.
"No, wait, I didn't mean—"
The tiny creature dramatically turned away from him.
Lucien rubbed his temples.
"The magical star creatures are emotionally sensitive."
"I noticed!"
Another Luminal landed gently on Lucien's shoulder afterward and he stiffened immediately like physical contact personally offended him.
Luke laughed again. And instantly, more Luminals appeared.
The sanctuary skies brightened further.
The Father of All looked deeply concerned now. "Yes…" he murmured quietly. "That confirms it."
Lucien narrowed his eyes.
"Confirms what?"
The old creator looked toward Luke carefully.
"The Heart reacts strongest when he experiences genuine joy."
Silence followed.
Luke slowly stopped laughing.
Because somehow…
that realization felt heavier than expected.
The sanctuary itself responded to his happiness. Not his power. His emotions.
The Father of All lowered himself carefully beside one of the balcony railings.
"There has never been a Balance wielder like this before."
Lucien's expression hardened slightly.
"That sentence continues worrying me."
The ancient creator exhaled softly.
"Previous wielders controlled Balance."
His eyes remained on Luke.
"But the Heart itself appears emotionally bonded to him."
Luke looked uncertain now.
"Is that bad?"
The Father of All hesitated.
Which answered enough already.
Lucien stepped forward immediately afterward. "Explain clearly."
The old creator nodded slowly.
"If Luke loses emotional stability…"
The Luminals dimmed slightly around them.
"…the Heart may react proportionally."
Luke's stomach dropped instantly.
"You mean if I get upset.......oin,oin"
"Entire realms could potentially feel it."
Silence crushed the balcony completely.
Even the Luminals became quieter now.
Luke looked down at his hands immediately.
Fear crept into his chest again.
What if he lost control?
What if grief or anger hurt people accidentally?
The black cracks along his arm pulsed faintly beneath the bandages.
Lucien noticed instantly.
Without hesitation, the King of Hell stepped beside his son and rested one hand firmly against his shoulder.
"You are not a weapon."
Luke looked up slowly.
Lucien's crimson eyes remained steady.
"You are a child learning impossible things."
The Father of All watched silently.
Because years ago…
Lucien never would have spoken with such gentleness.
Celestia truly still lived inside the man after all.
One Luminal suddenly floated carefully into Luke's hands.
Tiny and very warm.m, Fragile too.
The creature chirped softly before pressing itself against his palm affectionately.
Luke stared at it quietly, then smiled faintly.
And immediately the sanctuary skies glowed brighter once more.
Far above the floating city, golden dawnlight spread endlessly across creation itself.
While beyond existence…
the void watched.
