When Yondu arrived in his spaceship, the first thing he saw was several figures attacking Ego.
The sight immediately startled him.
Yondu knew very well that Ego was extremely powerful—although he didn't know the exact extent of that power.
But one thing was certain.
Ego was terrifyingly strong.
What Yondu had never expected was that the entire planet itself was Ego's true body.
Realizing this, he immediately spotted Star-Lord nearby and steered his ship toward him.
Meanwhile, on the battlefield—
Ego's blue energy consciousness was easily destroyed by Karl.
However, that didn't truly kill him.
As long as the core energy source inside the planet remained intact, Ego could regenerate endlessly.
That core was located deep within the planet's central heart sphere.
Ego quickly reassembled his consciousness.
Then he unleashed a furious counterattack.
Several massive blue energy beams erupted from the planet's surface and shot toward Karl and Yan.
However, the weakest person present was already Celestial level or higher.
None of them even bothered to dodge.
A crimson glow flashed through Karl's eyes.
Using the Reality Stone, he directly rewrote the attack.
The energy beams vanished into nothing before they could reach him.
At that moment, Ego finally realized something.
The Single-Universe-level powerhouse he had sensed earlier was the group standing before him.
Although he didn't understand why they had suddenly attacked him, he quickly concluded something important:
He could not defeat them.
A moment later, Ego condensed a humanoid projection of his consciousness.
The figure floated above Karl and the others.
"Who are you?"
"Are you certain you want to attack a member of the Celestials?"
Ego emphasized his identity immediately.
Clearly, he hoped the reputation of the Celestial race would intimidate Karl.
Unfortunately—
That was the worst possible tactic to use.
Karl had come specifically because Ego was connected to the Celestials.
Otherwise, Karl wouldn't have cared about Ego's conflict with Star-Lord at all.
He would have simply let Peter kill him himself.
Karl sneered.
"Oh?"
"You're trying to intimidate me with the name of the Celestials?"
"Do you realize that the reason I came here…"
"Is precisely because you're connected to them?"
Karl's voice grew colder.
"Didn't you hear?"
"I killed another Celestial a few months ago."
Hearing those words—
Yondu, who had just landed nearby, broke into a cold sweat.
He had never personally met any Celestials.
But it was widely known across the universe that every Celestial possessed Single-Universe-level power.
Yet this man in golden armor claimed to have killed one.
And now he had come here to kill Ego as well.
Yondu suddenly realized something horrifying.
If Karl really killed Ego—
Then he and Star-Lord had just witnessed everything.
Would Karl allow them to live?
And if Ego somehow won—
They would have even less chance of surviving.
Even worse—
If Ego died and they escaped unharmed, the other Celestials might come after them for witnessing the event.
Either way—
Their lives were completely out of their hands.
Yondu suddenly felt a deep bitterness in his heart.
At the same time, he glared angrily at Star-Lord, who was running toward him.
This kid had dragged him into yet another disaster.
When Star-Lord finally reached Yondu's ship—
Yondu immediately smacked him on the head.
Then, still unsatisfied, he kicked him once more.
Star-Lord simply grinned and didn't resist.
Soon the group boarded Yondu's ship.
BOOM—!
Meanwhile, Karl fired two crimson laser beams from his eyes.
These were no ordinary heat vision attacks.
They combined Kryptonian heat vision with the evolving power of the Doomsday gene.
The beams instantly pierced through Ego's humanoid consciousness projection.
This time, Ego didn't attempt to recreate the projection.
Instead, he retreated directly to his planetary core.
He mobilized massive amounts of energy to launch another attack.
After hearing Karl's words, Ego understood something.
Karl was specifically targeting him because of his Celestial identity.
Ego had never imagined that someone in the universe would dare to hunt Celestials.
It was like a cow stepping onto a high-voltage power line.
Absolutely insane.
Suddenly, enormous waves of blue planetary energy erupted from the ground.
They surged toward Karl and the others like a tsunami.
Yan's Angel Eye flashed briefly.
The attack vanished instantly.
Yan had now upgraded to a Fourth-Generation Divine Body.
With the support of both:
Vast Knowledge Treasury (Level 2 authority)Skyblade VII (Level 1 authority)
Her combat strength had already reached Pseudo–Single-Universe level.
Once she reached the Fifth-Generation Divine Body, she would become a true Single-Universe-level powerhouse with those two systems supporting her.
Meanwhile:
Hela could draw infinite strength from AsgardBlack Phoenix possessed fragments of the Phoenix Force
At full power, her attacks could also approach Pseudo–Single-Universe level.
Compared to this lineup—
Ego stood no chance.
Even Karl wondered why Ego's power was only Celestial level.
Perhaps the movie timeline version had weakened him.
Before Ego could launch another attack—
Karl acted.
BOOM—!
Karl unleashed a punch powered by the seven Infinity Stones.
Multicolored cosmic energy filled the sky.
The attack slammed into the planet's surface and surged deep underground.
Ego panicked.
He desperately mobilized energy to stop the attack from reaching his planetary core.
But no matter how hard he resisted—
It was useless.
Karl's attack tore straight through the planet.
Along the path, the remains of Ego's dead children—the countless bones buried underground—were completely vaporized.
The entire planet began shaking violently.
Ego struggled desperately to stop the attack.
But the difference in power was simply too great.
And Karl was still growing stronger every moment.
Finally—
The attack pierced straight into the planet's core.
Karl's strike shattered Ego's heart source instantly.
The remaining energy within the planet began collapsing violently.
Moments later—
The entire planet began to explode.
