Chapter 1 - Ch 1 The Lowest Rank

Arjun Vale woke up to the faint sound of the academy bells echoing through the halls of Aetherion Academy. The morning sun streamed through the tall windows, illuminating dust particles that danced in the air. Today was not just another day; today, everything would begin to change.

He stretched, feeling the familiar pangs of tiredness from last night's training. But something felt different. A strange warmth on his wrist caught his attention. Glancing down, he noticed a glowing mark — unlike anything he had ever seen. A fragment of energy, pulsating with life, wrapped around his skin.

"What… is this?" he whispered, touching it gently. The mark seemed to respond, pulsing faster at his touch.

At that moment, the academy's loudspeaker announced the morning assembly. Arjun grabbed his bag and headed out, but the mark pulsed stronger, as if urging him to hurry. Passing through the corridors, he noticed whispers among other students. Eyes followed him, and some stepped aside as if sensing something extraordinary about him.

He reached the assembly hall and took a seat at the back. The principal, a tall man with piercing eyes, addressed the students. "This year, new challenges await each of you. Power alone will not suffice; only those who can adapt and grow will survive the trials."

Arjun felt a shiver run down his spine. The system in his wrist seemed to vibrate in agreement. He didn't understand how or why, but he felt connected to it — as if it were alive, guiding him.

As the assembly ended, students dispersed to their training grounds. Arjun followed, trying to process the mark's presence. The Broken Sky System, as it whispered in his mind, promised growth, power, and the unknown. He had no idea what awaited him, but deep inside, he felt a thrill. This was the start of something bigger — a journey that could either elevate him beyond imagination or destroy him entirely.
