Chapter 27 - Chapter 27: Event! Uchiha Clan Massacre

"Jiraiya, you're ranked so low. Why are there so many people ahead of you?"

Tsunade looked at the character ranking list and mocked Jiraiya with a smile.

Jiraiya didn't feel ashamed; instead, he threw his head back and laughed:

"Hahaha, I'm satisfied just being on the same list as so many famous seniors who once shook the Ninja World."

"Tsunade, you're even further behind me. How do you have the nerve to laugh at me?"

These words, practically asking for death, predictably drew Tsunade's ire, and she smashed an iron fist into Jiraiya's stomach.

Jiraiya almost threw up his dinner from the night before, his face turning pale.

The names on the character ranking list represented the peak combat power of those who reached the ceiling of the Ninja World; naturally, Utatane Koharu and Homura Mitokado wouldn't be on it.

Although these two, like Hiruzen Sarutobi, were students of the Second Hokage Tobirama Senju.

But in terms of strength, they were several levels below Hiruzen Sarutobi.

Although Hiruzen Sarutobi shamelessly claimed to be the strongest Hokage, he did indeed have some skill; with all-element Ninjutsu, his mastery of the Five Elements Release was unsurpassed.

Homura Mitokado and the other were, at most, at the level of Elite Jonin.

Among the powerhouses on the list, the two of them couldn't even lift their heads.

"Eh? Who is this Uzumaki Naruto?"

"I've never heard of this name before."

Suddenly, Hiruzen Sarutobi spoke up, asking in confusion.

As an elder who had lived since the era of Hashirama Senju, Hiruzen Sarutobi had personally visited the Land of Whirlpools during Uzushiogakure's peak and had some understanding of the Uzumaki Clan there.

But he had never heard the name Uzumaki Naruto.

One must realize, to be ranked so high on the character ranking list and even surpass the god of shinobi—Hashirama Senju—Uzumaki Naruto's strength must be unimaginable!

"He's actually stronger than Lord Hashirama?"

"And that Uchiha Sasuke! Could he be an ancestor of Uchiha Madara?"

Homura Mitokado followed up with a question.

As disciples of Tobirama Senju, they were more than just sensitive to the Uchiha surname.

Hearing this question, Minato Namikaze subconsciously smiled and looked at Jiraiya.

His sudden smile left Jiraiya bewildered, who asked in confusion:

"Minato, why are you smiling at me? Does this Uzumaki Naruto have something to do with me?"

As soon as these words were spoken, everyone else also turned to look at Minato Namikaze.

"Hahaha, there is indeed a connection, and a significant one at that."

Minato Namikaze replied to Jiraiya with a laugh, then turned to answer Hiruzen Sarutobi:

"I don't know who Uchiha Sasuke is, but as for Uzumaki Naruto..."

"...he is my soon-to-be-born child."

These words left everyone dumbfounded!

"Will the child in Uzumaki Kushina's womb become a Ninja even stronger than Lord Hashirama in the future?"

Homura Mitokado muttered to himself in disbelief.

"Is this also information you obtained in the Quiz Space? Why didn't you mention it before?"

Utatane Koharu pursed her lips tightly and questioned.

Hearing Utatane Koharu's questioning tone, Kakashi Hatake's face stiffened.

Nara Shikaku also glanced at the old woman calmly, a hidden trace of disdain flashing in his eyes.

Does everything need to be told to you? Are you the Hokage, or is Minato?

Who do you think you are?

Hiruzen Sarutobi felt that Utatane Koharu's emotional questioning was inappropriate and was about to speak with a stern face, but Minato Namikaze beat him to it:

"Regarding the child Naruto, isn't his name taken from your book, Jiraiya-sensei?"

Minato Namikaze completely ignored Utatane Koharu's question, treating her like thin air.

Although the old woman knew she had misspoke as soon as she opened her mouth, seeing Minato Namikaze's attitude still made her feel bitter.

Putting aside the anger rising in Utatane Koharu's heart, Jiraiya replied in astonishment:

"Oh, you mean 'The Tale of the Utterly Gutsy Shinobi'?"

"Exactly."

"Hahaha, as expected of me, the White-Haired Youth Lord Jiraiya! The name I came up with is so high-class!"

Jiraiya laughed happily.

Then he was punched down by Tsunade, who found him annoying.

After the laughter and playfulness, Hiruzen Sarutobi's eyes flickered with a complex light as he spoke slowly:

"Then, how about we take a look at Naruto?"

"I am also quite curious about how this child could become a Ninja stronger than Lord Hashirama."

From the current situation, the most urgent known event closest to the timeline, the 'Night of the Nine-Tails,' was already known to everyone, and the relevant arrangements were foolproof.

If Uchiha Obito didn't come, fine; but if he dared to show up, the people of Konoha would surely make sure he never returned.

Thus, Hiruzen Sarutobi had the idea to see what kind of person Minato Namikaze's soon-to-be-born child, Uzumaki Naruto—the one who would become the Nine-Tails Jinchuriki—actually was.

"I agree! I'm very interested too!"

Jiraiya quickly chimed in; he was indeed very interested.

"Haha, I also really want to see what kind of life that child will experience."

Minato Namikaze laughed happily, not caring at all that his name was ranked below his son's.

Instead, he felt extremely proud that his child could become such a remarkable Ninja.

However, he unexpectedly rejected the proposal to view 'Uzumaki Naruto.'

Instead, he said:

"However, it's still a long time before Naruto is even born."

"We can look into his matters slowly later. Right now, what I'm most interested in is the 'Uchiha Clan Massacre' event."

"What exactly happened that led to the massacre of the Uchiha Clan? It's truly unbelievable."

Minato Namikaze's words also piqued the interest of the others.

He was right.

As a prestigious and powerful clan that had flourished since the Sengoku era.

The Uchiha Clan could be said to have stood at the pinnacle of the Ninja World in almost every era, with only the Senju Clan able to contend with them.

Other Ninja Clans simply lacked the ability to compete with them.

Yet, such a powerful clan was actually massacred?

What kind of enemy could possibly destroy such a terrifying clan?

"That makes sense. I would also like to see it."

"After all, the Uchiha Clan is an important part of the Village. Their massacre would likely have a significant impact on the Village as well."

Hiruzen Sarutobi exhaled a thick cloud of smoke and nodded:

"Perhaps we can also see the problems the Village encountered through the Uchiha Clan's event and prepare early."

Homura Mitokado and Utatane Koharu both nodded as well.

"Oh well, let's just go with what you guys want then, honestly."

Jiraiya waved his hand helplessly, having to go along with the majority.

Minato Namikaze nodded with a smile and then motioned to Nara Shikaku:

"Shikaku, thanks for your hard work this time."

"In front of you lords, it's hardly worth calling hard work."

Nara Shikaku waved his hand with a smile, then paused, his smile fading as he said to Ye Chen:

"Lord, I choose the 'Uchiha Clan Massacre' from the event list!"
