Chapter 230
Lord of Water and Storms
Arthur calmly looked around him, his eyes moving steadily as he sensed the surroundings.
He was standing on a small, solitary rock in the middle of an endless ocean.
The water around him was pitch-black, seemingly still, yet carrying a terrifying pressure within its depths.
'This isn't Song's planet…
Nor is it any world my feet have ever set foot upon.'
Arthur closed his eyes for a moment, then opened them with greater focus.
'This is Bokrog's own universe.'
He was able to distinguish it easily.
Every world, every universe, possessed its own unique energy… a mixture of humans, monsters, and existence itself.
And here, the energy was saturated with only one aura.
Bokrog's aura.
"So this is his original world…"
Then another thought crossed his mind.
'But… are the Great Old Ones capable of traveling between worlds?
Or is this an authority Azathoth granted him?'
{You're intelligent, as I see.}
Bokrog's voice echoed across the horizon, deep and heavy, as though it came from the depths of the sea itself.
{The High Priest told me to be wary of you.
But I couldn't even imagine…}
He paused for a moment, then continued with clear contempt:
{That a mere human
could hurt us…
and imprison us.}
A mocking smile appeared on the lizard's face.
{I didn't believe that the High Priest had been imprisoned again.
But from what I understood from the Great Holy Ruler—}
{You are a strange entity…
something incomprehensible.}
He then said with lethal coldness:
{That is why King Azathoth sent me
to kill you.}
Arthur raised his gaze toward him without the slightest fear.
"Where are we now?"
He already knew, but he wanted to make absolutely certain and fully understand the situation.
Bokrog smiled a cold reptilian smile, then raised his hands as he floated in the air, the water beneath him trembling.
{Welcome to my world.
We are now in my original world.}
Then he added proudly:
{The King granted me the authority to travel freely
between my world…
and that insignificant human world.}
Arthur looked at him with a completely calm expression.
"I'm grateful to you."
Bokrog's expression immediately changed.
{…Grateful?}
{I'm here to kill you, and you're grateful?}
{Are you insane, boy?}
Arthur smiled with genuine relief, then leaped into the air and began floating opposite him.
"I'm grateful because you didn't fight me in the human world."
Bokrog's eyes narrowed, as though Arthur's irritating words had just insulted him.
{Boy,
whether we are Great Old Ones or Outer Gods,
we are entities governed by laws.}
{We care only about the strong.
And we have no concern for the weak.}
Then he said harshly:
{If we had remained there,
I would have destroyed that world with a snap of my fingers.}
He opened his arms slightly.
{But here…
we can fight however we want,
with complete freedom.}
Arthur clenched his fist.
"And that is why…
I'm grateful."
He lightly cracked his neck, then looked directly at Bokrog.
A savage smile appeared on his face.
He applied tremendous force to the air behind his foot—
And launched himself forward.
In a fraction of a second, Arthur was directly in front of Bokrog's face.
He raised his fist and struck.
A direct punch to the face.
The fist collided with the lizard's face…
But Bokrog did not move even a single inch.
{You disappointed me.}
With those words, Bokrog swung his tail with blinding speed.
'So fast!'
Arthur raised his hand to block—
But the tail was faster.
It slammed into his face with tremendous force, launching his body through the air before he crashed violently into the ocean.
The water exploded.
Blood flowed from his ear and his left eye.
'He's strong…
His physical strength… is unbelievable.'
{Sacrifice,
is that all you have?}
Arthur's smile widened.
'Sacrifice?
Me… a sacrifice?'
He opened his eyes, and the madness of battle ignited within them.
"I am Arthur Narin."
He struck the water beneath him with tremendous force and appeared behind Bokrog in an instant.
He raised both hands and slammed them into his head with tremendous force.
Bokrog was affected by the blow and was driven downward into the water.
"Let's see who the sacrifice is now…
you filthy lizard bastard!"
"Palms of Darkness!"
His hands transformed into absolute darkness.
He charged toward Bokrog, grabbed his tail, and began smashing him against the water again and again with savage violence.
Then he swung his hand and struck his back with tremendous force.
But—
An iron weapon appeared before his fist.
It blocked the attack.
{You are strong, I admit that.
But let's see how long
you can withstand Ransuri.}
Ransuri was—
a long iron spear with a sharp tip, from whose head two deadly prongs branched out.
Bokrog raised the spear and swung it with blinding speed toward Arthur's head.
'Damn…'
The distance was far too close.
There was no room to dodge.
By instinct, Arthur raised his right hand and grabbed the spear.
In the next moment—
He felt as though an entire world were pressing down on his head.
"Daaaaamn!"
The Palms of Darkness began to break apart…
and evaporate.
'No… no…!'
He struck the spear with force.
Blood scattered across the dark ocean.
{You're trying to block my spear with your hand?
Fool.}
Bokrog stood on the surface of the water, looking at him with contempt.
Arthur's right arm had been severed.
Nothing remained but scattered blood.
"You're strong."
Arthur said it calmly as he pressed his left hand against the wound to stop the bleeding.
{And you are weak.
I cannot believe the High Priest
was defeated by your hand.}
Bokrog sighed in irritation.
{Did King Azathoth truly make a mistake?}
He casually swung his spear, then turned around as though the battle were already over.
As though Arthur…
were nothing more than an ant in his eyes.
From the beginning of the battle, Arthur had never fought in a manner worthy of the name God Imprisoner.
His power was terrifying and strong, yes.
But before Bokrog…
it was truly nothing worth mentioning.
Bokrog was no longer interested in the battle at all.
He was prepared to leave and abandon Arthur here.
But at that moment—
A terrifying aura pressed down upon the ocean.
A dark aura of death.
The entire sea trembled beneath it as the waters surged and the sky shook.
Bokrog slowly turned around.
"I'm your opponent…
you filthy lizard!"
Arthur's scream shook the entire world as his body trembled with hatred and disgust toward this damn situation.
He hated the fact that he had been defeated so quickly.
Defeated so easily.
Defeated…
No.
Arthur would not be defeated.
His arm returned to its place—
But Arthur was no longer the same.
He was stronger.
Heavier.
More terrifying.
{How…?}
{How did you become this much stronger?}
Arthur smiled with madness and roaring fury.
"Ask your mother."
With those words, he launched himself forward.
He struck the air behind him.
Then swung his right hand with tremendous force.
Bokrog attempted to block with his spear—
A tremendous collision.
Immense pressure spread in every direction.
And moments later—
Arthur pressed harder.
Harder.
Harder.
And the spear shattered.
