Another day at their house.
Momo had taken leave from work to enjoy the last few days of summer with Ayaan and Aarshi.
Ayaan was sitting lazily on the sofa while Aarshi was lying upside down on the same sofa like a bat who forgot how gravity works.
Momo walked into the hall and casually said, "Let's go shopping today."
Absolute silence.
No reaction.
Not even a blink.
Then Momo calmly added, "Aarshi, your brother sent me enough money so you can buy anything you want. Even luxurious stuff."
Aarshi immediately jumped off the sofa like someone activated her survival instincts.
"OH YEAHHHH! WE ARE GOING SHOPPING!"
She started clapping like a five-year-old who just heard the word "ice cream" and smacked Ayaan on the head in excitement.
"LET'S GO!"
Ayaan sighed deeply. "Are you a child? Why are you jumping and clapping like this?"
Aarshi hit him again.
"Yes, I am, old man."
Momo looked at Ayaan. "Aren't you coming with us?"
Ayaan leaned back dramatically. "I have to go. I know neither of you will leave me alone here to maintain my peace."
Aarshi smacked him again.
"You'll get enough peace when I personally send you to heaven."
Ayaan looked at her tiredly. "You won't even let me die peacefully."
Aarshi laughed proudly. "Ohhh finally you understand."
Momo started laughing. "Both of you, go get ready for our day out."
"I'm already ready," Aarshi interrupted confidently.
Both Momo and Ayaan looked at her like airport security scanners.
She was literally wearing pajamas.
Ayaan blinked slowly. "You're… ready?"
"Yes. What's wrong?"
"Nothing," Ayaan replied, looking spiritually exhausted.
Momo smiled patiently. "Aarshi, go wear something nice. We're going to the amusement park too."
Aarshi froze.
"…AMUSEMENT PARK?"
Momo nodded.
Aarshi immediately sprinted toward her room so fast it looked like somebody increased her playback speed to 2x.
Ayaan also went upstairs to get ready while Momo got dressed.
A little later, Ayaan came downstairs wearing a simple layered shirt over his T-shirt, yet somehow he still looked unfairly good. The type of person who could wear a curtain and still look like a magazine cover.
Momo was already ready.
And then Aarshi appeared.
She was wearing a yellow jumpsuit with her wavy hair left open, looking surprisingly adorable.
For one second, Ayaan genuinely got mesmerized.
Then he mentally slapped himself back to reality and suddenly ran upstairs again.
Momo looked confused. "Where did he go now?"
Ayaan returned holding something behind his back.
"What's that?" Momo asked.
Without answering, he placed it directly on Aarshi's head.
A bee plushie headband.
Tiny fluffy bees sitting on top of her head.
Momo gasped dramatically. "OH MY GOD, I forgot about this! It actually looks so cute on her!"
Aarshi touched the headband suspiciously. "Why did you put this on me?"
Ayaan smirked. "It's a bee headband for another honey bee who keeps buzzing around my head all day."
Aarshi crossed her arms confidently. "Bees also buzz around trash sometimes."
Ayaan burst out laughing. "I called you a honey bee and you somehow promoted yourself into a trash bee."
Aarshi got offended instantly and started attacking him again.
Meanwhile, Ayaan, despite getting beaten daily like an unpaid side character, never actually hit her back.
Momo quickly interrupted before World War 3 officially began.
"Please don't fight right now."
Too late.
Chaos had already left the house with them.
The moment they entered the amusement park, the entire atmosphere felt unsafe.
Momo happily held the park map like a kindergarten teacher on a school trip while Ayaan and Aarshi started arguing before even crossing the entrance gate.
"Don't walk beside me," Aarshi said dramatically. "Your face itself is giving me motion sickness."
Ayaan looked offended for exactly two seconds.
"Funny coming from someone who looks scared of oxygen."
Momo sighed. "Can you both survive one hour without fighting?"
Both replied instantly—
"No."
Momo: "…Fantastic."
Their first ride was bumper cars.
Worst decision ever made by humanity.
The moment the ride started, Ayaan transformed into a full-time criminal.
He ignored every single car and targeted only Aarshi.
THUD.
Her car shook violently.
"AAYAAN!"
"Skill issue," he replied casually before smashing into her again.
"You drive like your brain has no parental control!"
"And you drive like Google Maps gave up on life."
Meanwhile, Momo was peacefully driving in circles like a law-abiding citizen until BOTH of them rammed into her car from opposite sides.
Momo blinked slowly.
" Heyy... Can't you just stop fighting?"
"Tell that goblin!" Aarshi pointed at Ayaan.
Ayaan gasped dramatically. "Goblin? You literally scream during speed breakers."
"I DO NOT—"
At that exact moment another car lightly tapped hers.
"AHHHHH!"
Ayaan folded over laughing so hard he nearly lost control of the steering wheel.
"Oh my God. The car touched you softly and your soul left your body."
Aarshi looked one insult away from committing a felony.
After bumper cars, they reached the giant roller coaster.
The moment Aarshi looked up at it, all confidence exited her body immediately.
"That thing touches clouds," she whispered.
Ayaan grinned like a Disney villain.
"Oh? The mighty savage queen is scared?"
"I'm not scared."
"You're literally holding Momo's hand with both hands."
"I'm emotionally supporting her."
Momo smiled sweetly. "Actually she's crushing my fingers."
Aarshi immediately let go.
Ayaan proudly folded his arms.
"Ladies and gentlemen, welcome to National Geographic. Today we observe a rare species — the overconfident human trembling in its natural habitat."
Aarshi glared at him.
"One more word and I'll make your hospital bill trend online."
Somehow Momo still convinced her to sit on the ride.
Huge mistake.
The roller coaster slowly started moving upward.
Aarshi sat frozen like somebody paused her existence.
Ayaan beside her looked suspiciously calm.
Then the coaster climbed higher…
and higher…
and higher…
Aarshi grabbed Ayaan's sleeve with terrifying force.
"Ayaan."
"Hm?"
"If I die today, I'm haunting you specifically."
"Can ghosts climb heights? Because you're scared of those too."
Momo, sitting behind them, was struggling not to laugh.
Then came the drop.
The ENTIRE amusement park probably heard Aarshi scream.
"AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA—"
Meanwhile Ayaan was laughing like a maniac until the coaster twisted sharply.
His expression disappeared instantly.
"Oh no."
Aarshi turned toward him while the wind aggressively attacked their faces.
"WHAT HAPPENED, MR. FEARLESS?!"
"I REGRET EXISTING!"
Momo was laughing so hard she could barely breathe.
When the ride finally stopped, Aarshi walked out with shaky legs and hair looking personally betrayed by gravity.
Ayaan looked equally traumatized but refused to admit it.
Momo handed both of them ice cream like a tired mother dealing with two disaster children.
For one peaceful minute…
silence existed.
Then Aarshi noticed the roller coaster photo displayed near the exit.
In the picture:
Aarshi looked possessed.
Momo looked adorable.
And Ayaan looked like he had personally met all his ancestors.
Aarshi stared at it for three seconds before exploding into evil laughter.
"YOU LOOK LIKE A WET PIGEON!"
Ayaan immediately pointed at her photo.
"AND YOU LOOK LIKE THE SCREAM PAINTING!"
Momo bought the photo anyway because blackmail material is important in family history.
Later, Ayaan noticed a group of boys around their age staring at Aarshi and Momo repeatedly.
At first, he ignored them.
But then he realized they were literally following them everywhere — the ice cream stall, the cotton candy shop, every single place.
Neither Aarshi nor Momo noticed.
But Ayaan got visibly annoyed.
Suddenly, he grabbed Aarshi's hand.
"Come. Let's go to the coffee shop."
Aarshi looked horrified. "Are you insane? Who drinks coffee in this weather? I'm getting iced shakes."
"Please," Ayaan said simply. "I want coffee."
The moment he said "please," Aarshi suspiciously agreed.
Momo silently noticed this and smiled to herself.
At the coffee shop, Ayaan ordered a HOT cappuccino.
Even the coffee maker looked confused.
The weather outside could literally cook noodles on the road and this guy wanted boiling coffee.
When they got the order, Ayaan immediately handed the burning hot cup to Aarshi.
"Carry this."
Aarshi stared at him in disbelief.
"You dragged me here to become your waiter?!"
She started yelling again.
Ayaan grabbed her other hand and quietly said, "Just trust me and do what I'm trying to do."
Aarshi kept arguing until suddenly Ayaan held her cheeks gently and said softly,
"Please. Just this once. After that, I'll do whatever you want."
Aarshi immediately stopped malfunctioning.
She looked confused but agreed.
Then Ayaan casually led her toward the same boys.
Aarshi instantly felt uncomfortable under their staring.
Ayaan quietly whispered, "Ask them where the Ferris wheel is."
Aarshi looked at him like he had lost his remaining brain cells.
"No."
"Please," he said again. "I'm here. Trust me."
Somehow… she did.
Aarshi nervously walked toward the boys.
The moment she approached them, those boys immediately got closer like stray mosquitoes sensing human blood.
Aarshi awkwardly asked,
"Uncle… where's the Ferris wheel?"
One boy's soul visibly left his body after hearing the word "uncle."
"UNCLE??"
Before they could recover, Ayaan suddenly shoved Aarshi from behind in the middle of the crowd.
"WOAH—"
The hot cappuccino flew directly onto the boys.
SPLASH.
Absolute destruction.
"AAAAAAHHHH!"
The coffee was lava-level hot.
Those boys started screaming and jumping around like confused donkeys in a thunderstorm.
One guy nearly removed his own shirt in panic.
Another was spinning in circles like a Beyblade.
Meanwhile Aarshi stood there in complete shock.
"…What just happened?"
Ayaan instantly grabbed her hand and ran.
"RUN FIRST, PROCESS LATER!"
While running, Aarshi looked back at the boys still screaming and hopping around dramatically.
And then she completely lost it.
She started laughing so hard she could barely breathe.
"They're jumping like injured kangaroos!"
Ayaan was laughing too.
Momo, who finally caught up to them, looked between both of them suspiciously.
"…What did you two do?"
Ayaan and Aarshi replied together innocently—
"Nothing."
