Chapter 12 - Chapter 12: “Eirys Valestria” Part 2

Two days passed after everything.

Norax sat in his temporary office, quietly examining the items Ark had purchased from the Black Auction House.

[Fairy Flower.]

[Turtle Neck herb.]

[Ice Stone.]

[Crybat blood.]

And several standard antibiotics commonly supplied to mages and guilds.

(The Fairy Flower, in particular, was rare—something that normally only grew in Elven territory. But due to its high demand, even the Black Auction House handled it.>

Norax stretched lightly.

Celstia approached and placed a cup of coffee beside him "Master… are you feeling better now?"

Norax nodded. "Yeah. I feel better after last night."

Celstia smiled softly, just as she used to back at the mansion.

She had stayed beside him again last night, worried, even sleeping nearby—but Norax didn't mention it.

he thought.

I need to prepare.>

"Master," Celstia said gently, "it's time to focus on Lady Eirys. We need to decide what to do."

Norax nodded.

"I was waiting for Ark's report. It's done now."

"This report stays with me only," he said calmly. "No one else reads it."

Celstia nodded.

"Pack the materials," Norax continued.

"And tell Ark to place a communication stone in Eirys's room. No one enters without permission—only you and Eirys."

"Yes, Master."

By then, Eirys's fever had subsided.

The maids had taken good care of her, and Celstia checked on her regularly.

She really acts like a mother, Norax thought.

Eirys sat quietly on the bed.

Whene she sensed someone approaching, her mood brightened—hoping it was him.

The man whose presence felt like black and white merging together.

She had asked the maids countless times about him.

They never answered.

she wondered.

Soon, Celstia entered the room.

"Good to see you're awake," Celstia said warmly, sitting beside her and hugging her gently.

Eirys relaxed.

A moment later, footsteps followed.

Norax entered and took a seat across from her.

"Lady Eirys," he said calmly.

"Now that you're feeling better… let's talk."

Celstia stood quietly behind him.

Eirys hesitated, then nodded.

"Before I ask my questions," Norax said, "I'll answer yours first."

She turned slightly toward his voice.

"…Can I ask?" Eirys said softly.

"Who are you… and where am I?"

Norax exhaled slowly.

"I apologize for the late introduction," he said.

"I am the third powerhouse of the underworld—leader of Blue Crescent."

"My name is Norax Duskgale."

Eirys froze.

"…Duskgale?"

She had heard that name in the capital—about a year ago.

she thought.

I'm safe They saved me from the people who kidnapped me…>

Norax continued, "I gathered information about your family and situation. But there's something I don't understand."

"How were you kidnapped—from the capital, from a duke's residence—without any missing report?"

Eirys fidgeted.

Her body trembled slightly.

"I… don't know," she said.

"I was sleeping in my room. The door opened like usual. I thought it was a maid…"

Her voice shook.

"Someone put something over my face. After that… I don't remember."

She paused.

"When I woke up again, my hands were cuffed in chains. Three days passed. No one came…"

She stopped.

Those colors—

The suffocating emotions—

The fear—

She couldn't explain them.

No one would believe me anyway.

Celstia moved beside her and held her gently.

Norax fell silent.

Sold…? She sold by his uncle but that' never happened in my novel is this also a variable message say 50% chance meet the result so let assume this is unexpected event>

She was a Cursed Princess.

"Lady Eirys," Norax said at last,

"I understand. We'll prepare a carriage to send you—"

Before he could finish—"Please, no!"

Eirys shouted.

"I don't want to go back to that house!"

Her breathing grew erratic.

"Uncle and aunt… they—"

She stopped.

Fear filled her.

Norax stepped closer.

"Lady Eirys, I understand you don't want to return," he said calmly.

"But you can't stay with me forever."

She clenched her hands.

Norax look at her and he said

"I think you misunderstood something," he continued

"I'm not sending you back to the duchy."

"I'm calling your brother."

She stiffened.

"He won't come," she said quickly.

"He ran away because I'm useless."

Her voice cracked.

"He was right. Who wants a blind, useless sister?"

Celstia's expression tightened.

Norax spoke coldly.

"Lady Eirys," he said,

"Do you truly believe your uncle's words more than your brother's?"

"Then why didn't he take me with him?" she cried.

"Why did everyone leave me?!"

Celstia held her shoulders gently.

"It's not like that," Celstia said. "There must be a reason—"

Norax raised a hand.

"Let's make a bet," he said calmly.

"I'll call your brother."

"If he comes, you talk to him."

"And if he doesn't—"

"I'll take responsibility for you."he said

Celstia frowned slightly.

"Master… is this really the right way—"

Eirys clenched her teeth.

There's no way he'll come, she thought.

He left me because I'm useless.

Anger surged.

"Fine," she said loudly.

"But if he doesn't come—"

She stopped herself.

"…Then you take responsibility. And treat me like—"

She went silent.

Norax nodded.

"Okay," he said simply.

"Whatever you want."

Celstia stayed inside the room.

Norax quietly left.

Eirys needed time—

time to calm herself after recalling the ugliness of her past.

Norax walked through the corridor, his expression unreadable.

She fell in love with the protagonist.

She fought to marry him.>

"That was the future Alxie had been taken back to the Duke House and worked with a loyal marquis under his family."

"Over time, he succeeded, reclaimed everything, and became Duke himself."

Only then did Eirys realize—Alxie had never hated her Never thought her useless.

His emotions had always been filled with worry…and hatred toward their uncle.

But Eirys misunderstood those emotions.

Alxie had worked as an attendant in the marquis's household He couldn't take her with him.

So he had no choice but to leave her behind. And afterward, the uncle spread rumors—that Alxie ran away from home rumor start>

"Whatever he told her… It definitely wasn't something good."

Norax entered his office and activated the communication stone.

A familiar voice answered.

"Master. Good to see you."

The dark elf's pointed ears twitched lightly—

she was clearly in a good mood.

"Looks like something good happened," Norax said."Velyra."

Velyra smiled faintly.

"Yes, Master. As you predicted, we found who hired the assassins."

"But," she added,

"there's a twist."

Norax wasn't surprised.

he thought.

"I expected that," he said calmly.

"It's fine. We'll handle that later."

He paused.

"I have an important task for you."

Velyra straightened.

"I want you to personally deliver a message," Norax continued.

Velyra nodded slowly.

"If it's me," she said, "then I assume the person is in the capital."

"And judging by your tone—he's not an enemy. At least, not yet."

Norax nodded.

"Yes."

"I'll tell you where to go."

A few hours later—Night fell.

The capital remained lively even after sunset.

At the Marquis Verm's residence, a single room remained lit.

A man with sharp eyes and purple hair sat alone, documents scattered around him.

Dark circles framed his eyes.

He hadn't eaten.

Alxie Valestria sighed deeply.

"Where are you…?" he muttered.

Frustration surged He slammed the door to his bedroom and collapsed onto the bed.

The residence was nearly empty.

He stayed here alone.

Anger.

Worry.

His sister was missing Their uncle—the Duke—refused to announce it in the capital.

It would stain the family name.

Worse—he hadn't even tried to search for her.and only make excuses

Alxie clenched his fist.

"Damn it…"

He closed his eyes.

Then—From the balcony—

A presence appeared.

Velyra concealed herself using elven wind magic, dressed in an assassin's outfit, her face hidden behind a mask.

Moonlight revealed her silhouette.

Before she could speak—

A dagger flew toward Alxie.

She dodged instantly.

Another attack came from behind.

Steel clashed.

Velyra blocked a sword strike and jumped back.

Alxie's voice was cold.

"Who the hell are you?"

"I'm not in a good mood," he said.

"So I'll kill you first."

He attacked.

Fast.

Deadly.

Velyra moved swiftly, countering every strike.

Their swords clashed again and again.

The table shattered.

The couch overturned.

The room turned into chaos.

"I'm not your enemy," Velyra said.

Alxie sneered.

"Is that so?"

"Then why do you come like an assassin?"

Their blades met once more.

Then—Velyra kicked his chest.

Alxie fell onto the bed.

In an instant, she straddled him, dagger pressed against his neck.

She had won.

"My master has a message for you—"

Before she could finish—Alxie grabbed her cloak and tore it away, slicing her mask in the same motion.

Velyra froze.

Moonlight revealed her face.

Alxie looked at her calmly.

"A dark elf," he said."Seriously… not bad."

"You even kept up with me."

"I like that."

Velyra frowned.

"Thanks for the compliment," she said.

"I trained hard."

"And you managed to see through my concealment."

"You're also worthy of praise."

Alxie smirked faintly.

"So," he said,

"what does an elf want from someone like me?"

"Judging by your appearance—you're an assassin."

Velyra stepped back, reclaiming her space.

"My master has a message."

She spoke clearly.

"Your sister—Eirys Valestria—is safe."

Alxie's expression shattered.

"Don't think we are your enemies," she continued."My master does not wish to harm her."

"I am Norax Duskgale, leader of Blue Crescent. He says—come and take your sister back."

"Come alone The person I send will guide you.In two days, meet us at the designated route."

She repeated calmly.

"Alxie Valestria—come and take your sister."

"We are not your enemy."

Alxie's sword slipped from his hand.

Clang He collapsed onto the bed.

"My sister…" his voice cracked.

"She's safe… right?"

Velyra nodded.

"My master is taking care of her.I don't know much more," she added "My role is only to deliver the message.Right now"

Alxie swallowed hard.

"When," he asked, "and where do I go?"

Velyra pulled her cloak back on.

"I'll return in two days," she said.

"I'll guide you personally."

"Come alone."

Alxie nodded immediately.

Before she vanished—He grabbed her wrist.

"Wait.…Can you tell me your name?"

Velyra pulled her hand away.

"I don't give my name," she said coldly,

"to someone who attacks without listening."

She disappeared into the night.

Alxie let out a long breath.

He stared at the ceiling.

"Sister…" he whispered.

"I'm coming."

"Please… don't hurt yourself."

For the first time in days—Hope returned.
