Chapter 51 - Intervention

The ice spear pierced the thigh of the kidnapper who attacked Kai, and a scream of pain was heard from him.

"Aaaaaah!"

He fell violently to one knee, the ice spear embedded in his leg, blood slowly trickling down his throat. His body trembled with pain.

"Damn it, what is this now?"

Kai looked at the attacker, who was now on one knee with an ice spear piercing his thigh, and he was surprised by what had happened.

As for the other kidnapper, I saw the operation's leader get injured, which made him hesitate, as his gaze kept shifting between Elisa who was helpless in front of him and his injured leader.

'Should I just take the girl, or should I take him and back out... or just run away?'

His options were either to take the girl and escape, knowing that he would be pursued by the child who used the air element and the person who had attacked his leader.

In addition, the soldiers protecting the city will arrive soon, and the frost soldiers might even come as well.

His second option is to carry his leader and retreat, but this will slow him down if either or both of them decide to pursue him.

His third option was to escape alone.

Elisa looked at me and whispered,

"I need money."

Then he made his decision, and moved towards Elisa so quickly that even Kai couldn't keep up.

He tightened his grip.

'I have to knock her unconscious.'

Elisa's eyes widened when she saw that and she began to tremble with fear, which made her cover her face.

When only a few steps remained to reach her, the kidnapper smiled, but then froze in place.

"What..."

He tried to move again but couldn't, so he lowered his head to see that his feet were up to his knees and there was a path of ice on the ground.

Elisa noticed that even as the seconds passed, the kidnapper hadn't attacked her, so she decided to open her eyes to see what was happening.

She slowly removed her hands from her face, trembling, then slowly opened her eyes nervous and frightened.

She saw the kidnapper just feet away, ice covering his feet up to his knees.

Her eyes widened.

"This..."

Then I noticed the ice path on the ground

The kidnapper and Elisa followed the icy trail with their eyes until they saw a boy whose build was like any other boy in his age; strands of his black hair fluttered in the light breeze that was making

But what distinguished him most were his eyes, his blue eyes that sent shivers down his spine when they met his cold gaze.

"What is this?"

When she saw the familiar boy, Elisa whispered,

"Ryan."

Ryan advanced towards the four, walking with moderate and steady steps.

When I saw that, the kidnapper, whose movements were restricted by the ice, did not stand still.

He looked at Elisa, bit his lip, then clenched his fist and delivered a powerful blow towards the ice that was restricting his movement.

But contrary to his expectations, the ice was solid, and his blow caused him no harm.

"Damn it."

He began striking the ice repeatedly until he scratched it, but the scratch healed within seconds.

"That bastard..."

He looked at Ryan, who was now in front of his commander.

Ryan looked at Kai, who stood motionless, staring back at him, then looked down at the man who had struck him with his spear, kneeling and writhing in pain.

The kidnapper looked up at Ryan. He was in great pain from the spear that had pierced his thigh, and he couldn't remove it because he was afraid of losing too much blood.

He ground his teeth in an attempt to forget his pain.

Ryan fashioned a sword from ice in his hand, just like the one he had seen in the blacksmith's shop.

He turned his face towards the kidnapper's neck.

Elisa and Kai's eyes widened in surprise, and they whispered at the same time,

"Will...he kill him?"
