The death of General TIACAUH brings a beam of hope to the battle following the first jaguar general's defeat at MALEKIN's hands. Exhausted, the demon collapses unconscious and is tended to by his comrades. We now turn our attention to the duel between REX and ELENA; let us see what new abilities will come to light in this clash.
Continuing where we left off, Rex and Elena are on the sidelines. General Painalli is taking them seriously because of Elena's abilities. Rex decides to make his move, swiftly attacking the general, but the general easily dodges all of his attacks. Elena clumsily throws fireballs, which Painalli easily dodges, while repeatedly striking Rex. Quickly, without any regard for his allies, Rex unleashes his power and transforms into a giant white wolf, but this only makes him an even bigger target for Painalli. After a few seconds, following an intense fight that damaged both allies and enemies, Elena, who was at a safe distance, shouts something to Rex.
ELENA: REX, THE SPELL IS COMPLETE! GET OVER HERE!
Rex quickly shrinks and stands in front of Elena. She immediately points her staff at Rex, and a kind of beam strikes him, triggering a transformation. We slowly see Rex begin to transform into a humanoid, almost like a werewolf. PAINALLI watches in surprise, and Rex, seeing his new form, simply smiles. Without warning, he swiftly attacks the general, who barely manages to dodge Rex's attack. Quickly, REX shows no mercy and relentlessly attacks the general. In one of his attacks, he manages to strike him with a kick, lifting him slightly into the air. With his mouth, he bites his arm and throws him against the trees. At the same time, he manages to knock down several enemies, eliminating more than 15 jaguar warriors in the process. ELENA watches, surprised and exhausted, as REX acquired that power. Out of nowhere, the general emerges from the wreckage and walks toward our friends.
PAINALLI: (dusting off his clothes) Who would have thought you could become this strong? But that transformation is an eyesore... I knew I should have killed that woman first.
REX: You're remarkably tough. (glances back at Elena) Are you alright? Can you keep going?
ELENA: That spell cost me a massive amount of mana... I'm feeling quite drained.
PAINALLI: Woman, what do you call that? Such magic defies all logic.
ELENA: (sweating) I call it "Transmutation." It evolves any species into its ultimate form for a few minutes.
REX: ELENA, why are you telling him?!
ELENA: (panting) It makes little difference whether he knows or not... just finish him off... I barely have any strength left.
REX: You have a point.
PAINALLI: (cracking his neck) Very well, woman—I'm coming after you next. That is what I should have done from the start.
In an instant, PAINALLI bursts forward, breaking the sound barrier. REX just barely manages to intercept a kick aimed straight at ELENA's face. Now in his werewolf form, REX engages PAINALLI in head-to-head combat; both move and trade blows at absurd, inhuman speeds. ELENA attempts to provide support, but her fatigue holds her back.
In desperation, REX decides to stack his "True Form" power on top of his current state. His body expands slightly as his physical authority swells, pushing PAINALLI onto the defensive. Taking the battle more seriously now, the general leaps backward to put distance between himself and REX, leaving REX wondering why he retreated.
Glaring sternly at REX, PAINALLI whips a kick through the air, sending forth a vacuum blade created by pure kinetic pressure and force—an air-cutting projectile executed without a sword, made possible by PAINALLI's claws.
In disbelief at what he just witnessed, REX narrowly dodges the flying slash. PAINALLI seizes the opening to sprint toward ELENA, who uses her teleportation magic just in time to evade and retreat. Utterly frustrated and desperate, PAINALLI begins to succumb to rage, visibly fuming.
PAINALLI: (furious) GRRR... CURSE YOU, DAMN MORTALS! I am sick of this; now I will put an end to it!
With those words, PAINALLI begins to swell, gaining significant muscle mass as his claws elongate and his overall size expands. He lunges at ELENA—though his speed has diminished slightly, he remains terrifyingly fast to everyone else. REX sprints forward to intercept him, but signs of exhaustion are creeping in, as he is unaccustomed to maintaining his humanoid form. ELENA casts a protective barrier around herself to absorb PAINALLI's assault; the general relentlessly batters her barrier while slinging flying slashes at REX to keep him from closing in.
ELENA strains under the immense force to maintain her barrier, while REX struggles to advance through PAINALLI's relentless barrage. Delivering a crushing strike, the general lands a direct hit on REX, inflicting a massive gash that hurls him backward into enemy lines before slamming him hard against a large tree.
Seeing this, PAINALLI abandons ELENA and charges to execute REX, who is barely attempting to rise from the impact. REX watches PAINALLI hurtling toward him, trying to push himself up, but his damaged body fails to respond. PAINALLI extends his hand into the shape of a spear to pierce straight through REX's chest—yet just as his hand is about to plunge into REX's heart, his momentum grinds to a sudden halt, snared by glowing chains of ice.
ELENA had teleported close to REX to cast one of her most formidable spells: "Ice Chains." PAINALLI frantically tries to tear himself free, but as he attempts to move, his feet slip and he crashes to the ground. The terrain beneath him has been transformed into a solid sheet of smooth ice, leaving him unable to regain his balance.
PAINALLI: Dammit! I severely underestimated this woman... Who on earth granted her all this power?!
REX: hahaha... hey, kitty, (stern gaze) it's over.
Quickly, REX unleashes his giant white wolf power, and his humanoid form becomes even more imposing. He looks at PAINALLI and says, "Let's see, how did you do it?." After those words, REX concentrates his energy in his foot and launches the same technique as PAINALLI, unleashing a powerful flying slash from his leg.
PAINALLI is surprised and takes the direct hit, injuring him severely. Bleeding from the mouth, PAINALLI curses REX, but then he senses a great power. Turning around, he sees ELENA conjuring a power similar to that of a certain old man, as a large meteor is falling from the sky.
REX: (embarrassed) ELENA... don't you think you went a bit overboard?
ELENA: You think so? Hehe.
REX reverts to his original form, expanding his size just enough to scoop up ELENA and carry her away from the meteor's impact zone. As they flee, PAINALLI desperately tries to break the chains binding him, but they are infused with an exceptionally potent weave of magic that refuses to give way.
PAINALLI: (in his mind) What on earth?! That mortal shouldn't possess such power! Why?! Why?! Who the hell trained her?!
The surviving allied soldiers retreat toward the city gates. REX and ELENA reach the gateway as well, where ELENA, using the absolute last of her energy, raises a final barrier to shield everyone from the meteor's shockwave. The meteor crashes directly onto General PAINALLI, whose desperate screams echo through the clearing:
PAINALLI: NOOOOOO!!!!
The blast wave sweeps away all remaining enemy troops despite their desperate attempts to flee, sending massive shockwaves trembling across the entire battlefield. DANTE and ISAMU brace themselves mid-combat; the thundering roar awakens MALEKIN from his unconsciousness; and QUETZALCOATL covers her eyes from the blinding flash. Thanks to ELENA's final barrier, the door they were defending remains completely unscathed.
When the smoke clears, not a single enemy remains in the area where REX and ELENA fought—the entire surrounding field has been leveled into a desolate, barren plain. The battle has concluded, with REX and ELENA sitting exhausted on the ground, victorious and relieved.
Meanwhile, we turn to QUETZALCOATL's final confrontation.
Now we come to Quetzalcoatl's final fight. After enduring the explosion, he sees his enemy Chikauak running back to finish the fight after being sent flying by Quetzalcoatl. As he runs, he knocks down everyone in his path, both allies and enemies; he is in a frenzy of madness. Quetzalcoatl intercepts him with a kick that ricochets off his chest and backs away. He realizes that this general had increased his stamina and strength. Quickly, Quetzalcoatl retreats to create some distance.
QUETZALCÓATL: (in her mind) This bastard has gotten very powerful; I didn't want to resort to tricks, but I have no other choice.
GENERAL CHIKAUAK: (furious) HEY, QUETZALCOATL! Why are you running away from me, didn't you want a fight? Or are you so weak that you can't handle me? hahaha.
QUETZALCÓATL: You talk too much, kit... ty... cat.
The enraged general lunges running toward Quetzalcoatl, when he is already inches away from her, the goddess manages to create a small tornado that lifts general CHIKAUAK into the air for a few moments, which Quetzalcoatl takes advantage of to throw a strong kick with both of her legs, sending him flying again towards the forest, which Quetzalcoatl quickly pursues him, along the way, with cutting air, she kills several enemies to help her group. Now in the forest, Quetzalcoatl and general CHIKAUAK are alone.
GENERAL CHIKAUAK: (furious) What is wrong with you, woman? Are you so desperate that you send me flying all the time? Still, this will not save you, you know it, right?
QUETZALCÓATL: Big guy, this won't last long. (Mocking tone of voice) Come to me, kitty, kitty.
This exhausts CHIKAUAK's patience, who attacks furiously and tries to hit Quetzalcoatl, at the same time, the goddess is leading the general away from his troops, taking him deeper into the forest. After a while of chasing, we see that Quetzalcoatl stops and uses cutting air to try to slow down the general, which, due to the pain, slows down a bit and stops.
GENERAL CHIKAUAK: (furious) Damn it, all this time running away and you can only do that, cursed Quetzalcoatl, you don't deserve to keep living; now you will die.
QUETZALCÓATL: Well musclebound, brainless guy. We are far enough now; there will be no problems here.
The general, surprised by Quetzalcoatl's statements, only looks incredulous because he doesn't know what makes Quetzalcoatl say those things, especially with the confidence she says it with. Without further ado, he decides to kill Quetzalcoatl once and for all, but suddenly he sees that the goddess makes a very loud whistle that hurts his ears a bit and begins to speak in a strange language that sounded like snake noises. Suddenly, the earth begins to tremble and from the ground two huge snakes of approximately 20 meters rise up and place themselves behind Quetzalcoatl and look intimidatingly at CHIKAUAK, who only looks at this event in surprise.
GENERAL CHIKAUAK: (sweating) What on earth is this, woman? I thought we would fight cleanly.
QUETZALCÓATL: Are you stupid? Or are you pretending? You guys weakened me; now I will use my other abilities, get ready.
Quickly, the two snakes try to attack the general, who dodges the bites, hits the snake, but its skin is very hard and he has no choice but to retreat. A fight of hitting and dodging is taking place from the general toward the snakes, while Quetzalcoatl is running behind the snakes to keep the general away. In his mind, the general knows he has to kill Quetzalcoatl so that these snake abominations retreat because Quetzalcoatl is controlling them.
Quickly he manages to land a good hit on the jaw of one of the snakes that makes it retreat and the general sees how the first snake he knocked down hits the other one as it falls and destabilizes it. Quickly he takes advantage of that opportunity to go after Quetzalcoatl, who was watching in surprise how the snakes fell. Without further ado, the general pierces Quetzalcoatl's body with one of his hands and lifts it up and starts laughing like crazy upon seeing Quetzalcoatl's body pierced and bleeding. While laughing like a lunatic, he feels immense pain in his chest and looking down he sees that the snake has him in its mouth pierced by its fangs and desperately looks at Quetzalcoatl's body he had in his hands, but it turns out everything had been an illusion of Quetzalcoatl; he never pierced her and never hit the snakes. Agonizing in the snake's mouth, he sees that on top of a tree Quetzalcoatl was looking at him. Desperate, he screams her name while the snake devours him:
QUETZALCÓATL: (sigh) To think I had to use all my tricks, this is falling too low, but oh well, it's over. I hate to admit it, but in a hand-to-hand fight in my current state, he would have beaten me.
This fight has ended; the winner is Quetzalcoatl. The snakes return underground and the friends proceed to call each other telepathically thanks to ELENA's ability and communicate to everyone that the city is safe. Everyone rejoices and the mayor also feels more at ease after receiving the news. Now we go to the main field where DANTE and ISAMU are located, who have already finished off all the jaguar warriors that were there, and we see how DANTE looks with hatred at his main enemy, MIJAIL.
MIJAIL PETROV: Those things are completely useless, to think they didn't even tire you out, what a disgrace.
DANTE HERALDI: (glare of hatred) I swear I will kill you, you son of a bitch.
The war on the battlefields is coming to an end. What end awaits this pair of people who hate each other mutually? Very soon we will know.
