Chapter 1 - Chapter 1: From the Endless World of Ordinary People

Marvel Universe.**

Midtown High School, a quiet classroom.

"Mr. Reed... Mr. Reed."

"Thank you so much for your help!"

Peter looked at the young man in front of him with surprise.

However, he was clearly not used to pronouncing the name at first, stumbling over it earlier.

"You're too kind, Peter."

"This decay formula is very interesting, and I'm looking forward to the results we can achieve with it."

Alex Reed smiled, like a kind teacher regarding his favorite student.

As he watched Peter open the classroom door and leave in a hurry,

the smile on Alex's lips slowly faded.

He wheeled himself to the window, facing the sunlight, a look of reminiscence appearing in his distant eyes.

He wasn't originally from this world.

By chance, he had inexplicably transmigrated into an endless series of worlds.

Knowing plots in advance, Alex had seized NZT-48 first.

With NZT-48's help, he made rapid progress in multiple fields.

He even overcame its side effects, making the enhancement permanent instead of lasting just 24 hours.

Unfortunately, after evolving, Alex became too conspicuous and drew the government's attention.

How could one person fight the machinery of the state?

During his desperate escape, he gradually lost strength and consciousness.

When he awoke, he found himself reborn as a child in this world.

The young man he had just spoken to was none other than the future Spider-Man—Peter Parker.

Alex lowered his head slightly, glancing at his completely numb lower body.

A glimmer of anticipation appeared in his eyes: "Finally, it's about to begin."

In this world, Alex was an orphan.

Reborn, he still retained the "enlightened" state from NZT-48.

However, his body was born with a disability, leaving him unable to leave his wheelchair.

Learning from his previous life, Alex lived very cautiously.

In a world filled with guns, ammunition, and mutated superhumans, he feigned weakness to protect himself.

Although he knew the plot of the Marvel Cinematic Universe, Alex wasn't in a hurry.

The more he thought about it, the clearer he understood how precious this opportunity was.

If anything changed because of him, he would regret it forever.

For the past 20 years, Alex had considered himself an ordinary person.

And now, the time for the plot to begin had finally arrived.

Just now, through Peter's tightly concealed shirt,

Alex could easily analyze the loose-fitting, homemade spider suit beneath using color refraction.

Combined with the decay formula Peter had brought,

Alex knew this was the eve of Dr. Lizard's appearance.

"The regeneration potion,"

Alex murmured, gazing into the distance.

Behind his glasses, his eyes couldn't help glancing at his legs again.

A subtle glint flashed in them.

But when he looked up, that hint had vanished, replaced by utter calm.

If he wanted, he could deduce the complete regeneration potion from the decay formula he had just learned.

Similarly, if Alex wanted, he could create an Iron Man-like suit of armor ahead of time.

However… Alex only trusted himself now.

Armor was ultimately just an external tool.

Life is short—flesh and blood must ascend!

In Alex's eyes, the only thing that could keep him alive was an extremely powerful, almost monstrous body!

"But before that,"

"Let's go witness the birth of Spider-Man first."

...

The sky gradually darkened.

Alex slowly wheeled himself to the other side of a street.

His eyes were full of anticipation as he looked across.

At the far end stood a dilapidated supermarket lit by incandescent lights—the most conspicuous thing around.

Watching the hurried figures moving inside, a subconscious smile reappeared on Alex's lips.

"They're here!"

Alex pushed his wheelchair forward to greet them.

"Hey, Ben, long time no see."

"Hey... Ah, Alex, have you seen Peter? He ran away from home—I'm so worried about him."

Uncle Ben's lips were pale, and he shivered in the cold wind, but he immediately asked about Peter's whereabouts.

Alex—Peter's favorite teacher—saw a glimmer of hope light up in Uncle Ben's eyes.

"Of course. I just saw Peter rush into that supermarket.

I was going to say hello to him, but I spotted you first."

"Oh, thanks, Alex. You've helped us so much."

A glint flashed in Alex's eyes as he began guiding Uncle Ben toward his destined fate.

Although Uncle Ben was meant to die in the normal course of events,

Alex couldn't risk the slightest deviation.

So, it was best to keep things on track.

As Uncle Ben walked toward the supermarket,

a disheveled figure burst out the door, stumbling and falling.

As if by fate, the man collided with Uncle Ben.

After a brief struggle, a loud bang echoed.

A fleeting muzzle flash stood out in the dim light.

When Uncle Ben regained his senses, a bloody hole marred his body.

Alex had known this would happen, but he had no intention of stopping it.

In fact, he had waited for this moment for a long time.

Spider-Man's true birth wasn't when Peter was bitten by the spider.

It was when Peter completely lost the person who cared about him most—when he lost his few remaining attachments.

Watching Peter rush to Uncle Ben's side and embrace him,

Alex knew the classic line that would shape Spider-Man's life was about to be spoken.

Seeing Uncle Ben struggle with his last breath to guide Peter, Alex couldn't help but sigh.

"Don't worry. From today onward, I'll help you teach Peter."

Watching Uncle Ben die in Peter's arms, Alex felt no guilt.

It was the same old story.

In this world, Alex would stop at nothing to survive.

After witnessing Uncle Ben's death, Alex didn't approach Peter.

Now, Peter needed to process it alone.

Pushing his wheelchair, Alex slowly rolled away in the opposite direction,

disappearing at the end of the street.

...

"You mean you need my help?"

"Yes, Teacher Reed."

This time, Peter pronounced it correctly. His bloodshot eyes burned with determination.

Alex wasn't surprised by the request, though he still showed a hint of astonishment.

His habitual smile stayed in place.

Alex wheeled closer to Peter and patted him on the shoulder.

"I've heard about what happened, Peter. Please accept my condolences."

"You were my best student, and whatever you want to do, I'll support you."

Peter looked at Alex's resolute expression, his eyes instantly welling with tears.

Besides Uncle Ben and Aunt May, Alex was probably the only person who truly cared for him.

Unfortunately, Uncle Ben was already gone...

Thinking of this, rage and hatred surged in Peter's eyes.

Blood debts must be repaid in blood!

He would find that man. He would make him pay!

**PS:** Spider-Man here is from the Sony universe's second-generation version, so the timeline doesn't need to be too rigid.

If you have suggestions, please leave them after the '--' at the end of each chapter. I'll review them when I have time.

*(I've noticed many readers automatically associate NZT-48 with pure brain development and extreme intelligence, but it's more like achieving an "enlightened" state: clearer thinking, extremely fast learning, as if suddenly gaining talents in various fields; plus minor perks like photographic memory and heightened charisma, etc.)*
