Chapter 101: New York, New Beginnings
(Jay Jay's POV)
The city never slept.
And neither did our excitement.
New York City sprawled beneath us, a canvas of lights, dreams, and endless possibilities.
Keifer held my hand tightly as we walked out of the airport, his grip saying more than words ever could.
Keifer (soft, proud):
"…can you believe it? Harvard."
I laughed, letting the cold air brush against my face.
Jay (grinning):
"I can. But more importantly… we're here. Together."
He smiled.
Keifer (low, teasing):
"And still mine."
Jay (playful, blushing):
"You say that too much."
Keifer (smirk):
"I could say it a hundred more times, and it'd still be true."
Even in a city that never paused, he made the world feel like it revolved only around us.
(Arriving at Our Apartment)
Our apartment overlooked Central Park.
Tall windows. Soft lighting. Modern, yet warm.
I couldn't stop staring.
Jay (whisper):
"…this is ours?"
Keifer chuckled, spinning me gently into his arms for a brief twirl.
Keifer:
"Ours. And it starts now."
And I felt it.
A life that was ours to shape, to mold, to conquer.
(Settling In)
Boxes lay scattered, but we didn't care.
Books, clothes, gadgets, snacks… our worlds were merging perfectly.
Keifer unpacked his laptop, carefully placing it on the study desk.
Keifer (soft, looking at me):
"…business first, CEO of Watson Enterprises. But don't worry, you're my partner in all of this too."
Jay (playful):
"Does that mean you'll let me boss you around?"
Keifer smirked, moving closer.
Keifer (whisper):
"I'll let you try. But you already know who's in charge of my heart."
I rolled my eyes, but I couldn't stop the blush rising on my cheeks.
(A Letter from Mariano Enterprises)
The next day, as we were setting up the apartment, an envelope arrived.
My hands trembled as I opened it.
Jay (reading aloud):
"…Mariano Enterprises. Welcome back, Ms. Mariano. You are officially recognized as co-CEO of the company."
I looked at Keifer, eyes wide.
Keifer (proud, a little dramatic):
"…that's my woman."
Jay (smiling through tears):
"…I can't believe it."
It was surreal.
After years of chaos, after losing pieces of our past, after fighting every impossible battle…
We had our future now.
(Meeting My Father)
Later, we headed to the Mariano headquarters.
My father, whom I hadn't seen in sixteen years, greeted me with cautious eyes.
Father:
"…Jay Jay. You've grown into quite the woman."
Jay (nervous but brave):
"…I'm here to take my part of the company."
He studied me.
Father:
"…you deserve it."
And with that, a bridge that had been burned for years started to mend.
(Percy's Drama)
Percy, of course, couldn't make things simple.
Percy (dramatic, flailing arms):
"…I knew you'd come back like this! So formal! So mature! Why didn't anyone tell me about the NYC lifestyle?!"
Jay (rolling eyes, teasing):
"…Percy, calm down. You're still dramatic as ever."
Percy (gasps, clutching chest):
"…I'm offended! This is history being made, and you mock me?"
Keifer chuckled, pulling me close.
Keifer (whisper):
"…and this is why I love her."
Jay:
"…because she can handle Percy?"
Keifer:
"…exactly."
(The City Life Begins)
Classes started, but our nights were filled with lights, skyscrapers, and dreams.
Central Park walks. Coffee shop dates. Planning companies together.
Keifer was always beside me, protective, affectionate, sometimes teasing… always loving.
Jay (softly, to him one night):
"…do you ever get tired?"
Keifer (smirking, brushing hair from my face):
"Tired? Of you? Never."
We stayed up late, planning, dreaming, sometimes just holding each other, letting the city lights illuminate our faces.
(Obsidian Circle in NYC)
I didn't forget the Obsidian Circle.
Sophia, Savannah, Olivia, Mia, Amy—they all arrived soon after us, ready to help us settle, always a part of our lives.
Jay (to the team):
"…I want NYC to feel like home. And I want you all safe. Always."
Sophia (softly, smiling):
"…we've got your back. You always have ours too, Jay."
And in that moment, I realized… family wasn't just blood.
It was trust. Loyalty. Love. And sometimes… chaos.
(Keifer's POV — Watching Jay Jay)
I watched her.
Laughing. Planning. Smiling. Fighting for everything that was hers.
And I thought—
She is everything. My anchor. My fire. My world.
Keifer (soft, almost to himself):
"…one day, she'll be CEO of her company. And still my girl."
I leaned closer, brushing my lips to her temple.
Keifer:
"…and still mine forever."
Jay turned to me, eyes shining.
Jay:
"…I think we just became unstoppable."
And in NYC, with the city lights and skyscrapers as our witness, I knew it.
We really were.

So so so sorry for the delay i was just having a hard time after my summer holidays started we went to the hospital for my mother she just had surgery a few days ago, my father was in the hospital with her and I was with my grandmother plus i post chapters on my mother's phone but my mother took her phone with her and when i visited her i uploaded 1 chapter and now we just got home 1 day ago now I'll post chapters regularly I'll try my best
