Harlan looked at the plate Asher held out to him and blinked. Oliver gave him a warning look, motioning with his mouth not to taste the food, but how could he do that when the Donna himself was the one handing him the plate?
"Are you scared of something, Harlan?" The way Asher's voice sounded—soft and amused—made Harlan gulp.
He had never heard anything so pleasing before. Asher Devereaux really had a charming personality and an even more charming voice.

Ignoring Oliver, he picked up the spoon and took a mouthful of the gourmet stew. It melted straight on his tongue, making his taste buds tingle.
Damn, that's some delicious shit.
"It's sweet… so delicious." He wanted more and could only throw Asher a look that clearly said he was still hungry.
Asher, loving his attitude, of course brought him another bowl instead of a normal plate and pushed it toward Harlan.
"You can eat in the kitchen and leave afterwards," he suggested.
