Chapter 120:
Sunlight lazily bathed the villa's balcony. Yang Jian lay on the lounge chair, squinting his eyes in boredom.
"Being too strong isn't always a good thing!"
He sighed, lightly raising a finger. His bio-field lifted a glass of iced lemon water and automatically brought it to his mouth.
Slurp!
"Tsk, even drinking a beverage doesn't require me to move my own hands anymore."
An invincible life is too lonely — there's no fun left.
Beside him, Mikaela, wearing a tight sports tank top, was practicing Tai Chi in front of a holographic projection projected by the Origin.
Her movements were smooth and graceful, her wheat-colored skin glowing faintly under the sunlight.
"Wild Horse Parts Mane, White Crane Spreads Wings!"
She seriously imitated the movements in the projection, fine beads of sweat forming on her forehead as she muttered imperfect Chinese phrases.
"Yang, is my posture correct?"
She suddenly turned, lifting her long leg high — and nearly kicked Wanda, who was sunbathing.
Wanda lazily lifted her eyelids and casually waved her hand, gently pushing Mikaela's leg back down.
"Kaila, you almost let me experience what 'White Crane Spreads Claws' feels like."
Yang Jian laughed and glanced at Mikaela, commenting, "The movements are decent, but the killing intent is too strong. This doesn't look like Tai Chi — it looks like you're preparing to snap someone's neck."
Mikaela pouted. "Of course. I learned combat from Natasha. I want both elegance and lethality."
Wanda flipped over, her ample chest pressing against the lounge chair.
"I'm so bored. Ever since you destroyed the Kree Empire's warships last time, not even a decent criminal dares to show up."
Yang Jian shrugged. "Is it my fault?"
He sighed helplessly. The villains in this universe were too well-behaved. Ever since he fully revealed his power, they had all gone into hiding.
At most, they only caused minor trouble. There wasn't even anyone bold enough to announce they wanted to destroy the world anymore.
The Avengers were almost out of things to do, but Yang Jian was even more idle. Every day he did nothing but sunbathe.
He didn't want to be a superhero — he just felt the world was too quiet. It didn't feel like the disaster-prone Marvel universe at all.
At that moment, the Origin's mechanical voice timely sounded: "Sir, would you like me to play the news for you? Perhaps a new threat has appeared."
"Forget it." Yang Jian waved his hand.
"Last time I watched the news, the villains had all switched careers to opening dessert shops."
Mikaela burst out laughing: "For real?"
"For real," Wanda lazily added.
"He even issued a statement saying it's better to peacefully make tiramisu than get punched to death by Superman."
Yang Jian: "..."
He looked up at the sky, suddenly missing those reckless villains a little.
At least back then, he could still stretch his muscles.
"How about…"
Mikaela's eyes lit up. "We go find some fun? Like traveling to a parallel universe?"
Wanda also became interested and sat up: "Yeah! Last time you said you'd take us to a parallel universe, but you never followed through. How about the zombie universe?"
Yang Jian raised an eyebrow, his tone helpless: "Are you sure? That place isn't exactly suitable for vacation."
"What's the problem?"
Mikaela put away her Tai Chi stance and grinned as she leaned closer.
"With you around, we can walk sideways without any issues."
Wanda also sat up excitedly: "Exactly. We can't stay this bored forever, right? Helen even went to the company."
"How about…"
Mikaela smiled mischievously and continued: "We draw lots to decide who goes first?"
Wanda's interest was piqued. She sat up: "Yes! Draw lots! Loser accepts the result!"
Looking at their expectant eyes, Yang Jian smiled faintly.
"Fine. Since we agreed, we'll follow the rules."
He waved his hand, and a golden portal cracked open in the air. A set of exquisite drawing tools dropped out.
An ancient wooden box containing two carved drawing sticks.
"No matter the result, it's what you chose." Yang Jian said with a smile.
Wanda and Mikaela exchanged a glance and nodded at the same time: "No problem!"
I'm definitely going!!
Mikaela reached in first and drew a stick. She flipped it over — [Stay].
"Tsk!" She pouted, a bit unwilling.
Wanda grinned and reached in, drawing the second stick — [Go].
"Haha! It's me!" Wanda happily pumped her fist.
Mikaela put her hands on her hips, sounding a little dissatisfied: "Next time I won't lose!"
Wanda hugged her shoulders and laughed: "Don't worry, next time it'll be you and Helen!"
Yang Jian stood up. His black battle suit silently covered his body. He reached out and ruffled Mikaela's hair.
"Everyone will get a turn. Don't rush."
Mikaela grumbled but still couldn't help smiling.
"Fine. You two be careful and don't go too crazy."
Wanda was already excitedly activating her Chaos Magic, her red hair fluttering without wind.
"Let's go, let's go! Which universe this time? Zombie? Magic? Or cyberpunk?"
Yang Jian didn't act immediately. Instead, he slowly closed his eyes.
"Wait a moment." His voice gradually grew deeper.
Wanda and Mikaela exchanged a look and curiously watched Yang Jian, who had suddenly become motionless.
His breathing became extremely slow, his chest barely rising and falling. He looked like a statue.
"Did he fall asleep?" Mikaela whispered, waving her hand in front of his eyes.
Wanda's Chaos Magic flickered slightly. She could feel Yang Jian's consciousness drifting away.
"No, he's traveling in some special way."
Deep in his consciousness, Yang Jian's soul floated in a vast space.
Countless colorful bubbles slowly drifted around him. Each one represented a complete universe.
This time, he wasn't going to the usual places.
His gaze skipped over the densest cluster of bubbles — that was the core area of the Marvel multiverse, which he had explored several times.
He also skipped the brightest area — those were other film and television universes, like the Transformers world, where he had brought back Mikaela.
"What is this?"
Suddenly,
A strange cluster of bubbles caught his attention.
There weren't many of them, but they emitted a unique glow, as if coated with a special filter.
Yang Jian's soul drifted toward that area.
As he got closer, he noticed unique lines flowing on the surface of these bubbles.
Some looked like animated lines, others had exaggerated color saturation.
"What kind of anime world is this? Or a game universe?"
He curiously circled the largest bubble.
Unfortunately, in soul form he couldn't use super vision, otherwise he really wanted to see what kind of world was inside.
Returning to the center of the bubble space, Yang Jian fell into thought.
"The core area is the Marvel universe, the bright area is other film and television worlds."
He looked at the newly discovered area. "Then this should be…"
A bold guess emerged in his consciousness.
He no longer hesitated. His soul turned into a stream of light and shot straight toward the brightest bubble in that area.
