"Sister Natasha!"
Seeing Natasha on the hospital bed, Hermione ran straight over. Dove into her arms.
Little head nuzzled affectionately against the latter's chest. Experienced a past-life dreamâWidow's face wash.
Natasha was hit with a surge of pain from the sudden impact. Face pale. Lips twitching.
Yet seeing the little girl frolicking in her arms, countless emotions ultimately turned to a bitter smile.
After nuzzling a while, leaving the beauty's embrace, Hermione looked her up and down.
"Sister Natasha, where are you hurt? Let me see!"
Natasha shook her head slightly. "Better not. The wound's too gory. I'm afraid of scaring you."
Hermione: "âŠ"
You seem to have forgotten I slit that looter's throat and killed over a dozen people in one night.
Though she understood. Anyone seeing such an adorably cute little girl would overflow with maternal instinct.
"No! I want to see!"
Hermione pretended to be angry.
"Alright."
Widow couldn't resist her. Had to lift the blanket. Slowly pulled open her clothes. Exposed her lower abdomen's side.
Coulson consciously turned around.
Unwrapping the bandageâonly to see on the fair skin's center, a wound deep to the bone cut across the entire side waist.
Surrounding blood had been cleaned. But the stitched traces still faintly showed dark red.
"Ah!"
Hermione covered her mouth with both hands. Let out a gasp.
"It's fine. Minor injury." Widow comforted.
She wasn't exaggerating. Compared to that penetrating wound the Winter Soldier left her, this really was minor.
"Sister Natasha, how long until you recover?" Hermione suddenly asked.
Widow thought. Said: "This kind of injuryâat least two or three months."
"Can't be faster?"
Widow was somewhat speechless. You think wound healing works on willpower?
"No way. Injuries are like this."
She'd love to quickly regain mobility. But natural law stood there. Didn't allow mortals to defy it.
"It's fine. I have a way!" Hermione suddenly said.
Natasha froze. Next second laughed helplessly. Took it as a child not knowing better. Knowing some medical knowledge and thinking it applied everywhere.
"Mm⊠you don't believe me!"
Seeing her completely unconcerned expression, Hermione's cheeks puffed up. Looking indignant.
"Okay okay, then tell meâhow should I recover faster?" Natasha had a headache. Better go along with her.
She also wanted to hear what brilliant theory Hermione could produce.
Surely not going to hit her with "drink more hot water"?
Hermione pulled out her wand. Reminded: "These threads are a bit in the way. Need to remove stitches first. Might hurt a bit."
The wand's big. Bear with it.
Natasha: ???
"Wait, what are you doing?"
She panicked. Originally thought Hermione would just say some common sense about recovering from injuries. Who could've expected she'd suddenly take action herself. And directly remove her stitches.
"Leviosa!"
Before she could continue asking, Hermione waved her wand. Spoke the spell.
As some magic reached Tier 2, certain spells no longer needed full incantation to cast.
Like the Levitation Charm.
As the spell fell, the stitches on both sides of the wound came undone on their own.
The thread endsâas if pulled by some mysterious forceâgradually withdrew from the wound.
"HissâŠ"
Compared to a professional doctor, Hermione's technique could be called brutal.
Natasha's face twitched in pain. But to maintain her image, forcibly held back. Didn't cry out.
Once the thread completely separated, the wound was already seeping large amounts of fresh blood again. Stained the entire sheet red.
Coulson heard the groan behind him. Immediately felt something wrong. Couldn't care about anything else. Quickly turned to try stopping her.
"Episkey!"
Next second, Hermione chanted again. Wand tip lightly traced across the split wound.
Following the wand's path, the flesh near the wound seemed to have life. Automatically gathered and sealed.
In a blink, the entire wound had completely healed.
Natasha stared blankly at the scene before her. Then rapidly grabbed a towel. Wiped her abdomen dry.
Fair skin exposed to the air. Smooth as new. Not a trace of scarring.
"This, thisâŠ" Coulson's eyeballs nearly popped out. Mouth open. Face dazed.
Only now did Natasha rememberâbefore her wasn't some ordinary little sister. But a genuine witch!
The magic-using kind!
"Thisâthis is also your magic?"
In her excitement, Natasha still said something foolish.
What elseâŠÂ Hermione rolled her eyes. Could it be you suddenly awakened self-healing superpowers?
Realizing she'd asked a stupid question, Natasha smiled awkwardly. Directly jumped to the ground. Feeling her body state no different from usual. Mood delighted.
Only now did Coulson react. Having witnessed magic firsthand, he was greatly shocked.
Simultaneously raised Hermione's importance several more levels in his mind.
"Oh right, want to deal with this scar too?"
Hermione pointed at Natasha's waist. She knewâthis was what Bucky shot through. From then on, Widow said goodbye to bikinis.
"This can recover too?" Natasha's eyes brightened.
Hermione didn't speak. Just released a minimum-power Diffindo at Natasha's waist scar. Immediately followed by a Healing Charm.
The scar vanished.
Natasha excitedly hugged Hermione. Let her experience the face wash again.
Though for an agent of her level, body scars weren't the most noteworthy thingâbut as a woman, who didn't love beauty?
Ten minutes later, Natasha and Coulson led Hermione toward the Director's office.
Along the way, S.H.I.E.L.D.'s medical staff saw the lively, agile Black Widow. Expressions like they'd seen a ghost.
After walking who knows how far, the group finally arrived before a door.
Pushing open the door, a figure stood with his back to everyone. Standing before floor-to-ceiling windows. Looking outside.
Just a bald, dark back of the head was truly hard to ignore.
"Welcome to S.H.I.E.L.D., Miss Witch." The figure turned. "Let me introduce myself. Nick Fury. S.H.I.E.L.D.'s Director."
Black. Bald. One-eyed.
As expectedâBlack Boiled Egg!
Hermione tilted her head looking at him. Suddenly said: "You're Sister Natasha's superior?"
Nick Fury nodded: "That's right."
Hermione blinked. Said: "Mm, I trust Sister Natasha. You're her superior. She trusts you. So you're also a good person!"
"UhâŠ"
Nick Fury's eye twitched. Hermione's one sentence nearly broke him.
Such simple child logic.
What could he even say?
No, you misunderstandâI'm not that good?
Coulson and Natasha watching the rigid Fury nearly laughed aloud.
This was the first time they'd seen Fury make this expression.
Indeedâsincerity was the greatest killer move.
An innocent child completely countered the calculating spymaster.
