"Crack... crack..."
Metallic shattering sounds rang out.
The Destroyer armor completely fell apart. Became a pile of scrap metal.
Hermione watched Thor wield Mjolnir, unleash God of Thunder's lightning, use Tornado Destroys Parking Lot, complete Earth Drop on the Destroyer, both crash-landing together—ten thousand complaints in her heart, yet didn't know where to start.
Looking at the Destroyer debris scattered everywhere, her eyes sparkled with excitement.
She knew Odin had long adjusted the Destroyer's power. Turned it into a teen-friendly protection version... Otherwise Thor's current strength couldn't possibly win.
Stormbreaker Thor would be more like it.
Could say—Odin made these dumplings specifically for Thor's vinegar.
"In that case, don't blame me for collecting some interest first." Hermione thought.
She waved her wand. Began gathering scattered Destroyer fragments.
These were all premium magical materials. Couldn't waste them.
Jane, Darcy, and Dr. Selvig still immersed in that earth-shattering battle. Couldn't recover for long.
They realized they'd glimpsed another side of the world. A world full of magic and divine power.
They looked at Hermione with curiosity and awe.
Thor watched Hermione focused on "scavenging." Couldn't help twitching his lips.
But he said nothing. Instead walked to Jane's side. Softly comforted her.
Nearby Sif watched the two's intimacy. Gaze dimmed.
Hermione finished collecting Destroyer debris. Returned to the group. Broke the awkward scene.
"What do you plan to do next?" Hermione asked.
"I'm returning to Asgard." Thor's eyes determined. "Stop Loki."
"I'll go with you." Hermione said.
Thor looked at her somewhat surprised. "You're going too?"
"Of course." Hermione shrugged. "I've never been to Asgard. Shouldn't I take the chance to visit?"
Visit... The Warriors Three speechless.
They were going to fight. Not taking a kid on an outing.
But remembering Hermione's earlier clash with the Destroyer, several people tacitly shut their mouths.
Is this the world of the strong?
Thor didn't refuse. He knew Hermione's strength was formidable. Perhaps could help.
"Heimdall!" Thor looked up and shouted. "Bring us back!"
Moments later, a massive beam appeared in the sky again. Enveloped Thor, Hermione, and the Warriors Three.
Light flashed. Their figures vanished.
Meanwhile, Asgard.
Loki watched the destroyed Destroyer armor. No anger on his face.
His lips curved slightly. Revealed an eerie smile.
As if everything within his plan.
Light faded. Hermione and Thor appeared in Asgard.
As far as the eye could see—resplendent golden buildings. Towering into clouds. Magnificent momentum. Air filled with energy fluctuations different from Earth.
"This is Asgard..." Hermione looked around. Eyes flashed with wonder.
Though she was from another world, this was her first alien planet.
Strictly speaking, Asgard wasn't a planet. But a floating continent in cosmic void.
"Heimdall!" Thor had no mind for scenery. He quickly walked toward the Bifrost control panel.
Saw Heimdall weakly leaning by the console.
Thor looked at the Warriors Three. "Take Heimdall for treatment. Leave this to me."
"Let's go."
Thor turned to Hermione.
Thor flew with his hammer. Hermione rode her broomstick. The two raced along. Soon arrived at Odin's chambers.
Inside—complete chaos.
Odin lay in bed. Motionless. Fallen into sleep.
Queen Frigga leaned against the wall. Unable to move.
A tall figure with ice-blue skin held a massive ice blade. Prepared to stab Odin.
Laufey, King of the Frost Giants.
This old guy can really hold out... Hermione thought.
Could end Odinsleep anytime. Yet waited until blade at throat. Still motionless. To educate his son—truly painstaking effort.
"Remember, you died by Laufey's hand."
Just as Laufey gloated, a figure suddenly appeared behind him.
Loki said nothing. Eyes cold. Raised Gungnir. Aimed at Laufey.
"Whoosh—"
A dazzling energy beam shot from the spear tip. Instantly pierced through.
"Ah!"
Laufey screamed. Body pierced by the beam. Flew backward. Crashed heavily to the ground.
Never expected betrayal by his "ally." He looked at Loki incredulously. Eyes filled with shock and fury.
"You... you actually..."
Before finishing—another beam. Laufey's body directly turned to ash. Dissipated in the air.
Damn... Hermione amazed.
Loki was Laufey's son. Odin discovered Loki during war with Frost Giants. Brought him to Asgard. Adopted him. Even used magic to hide Loki's Frost Giant appearance. Made him look like an Asgardian.
And Loki—always thought himself Odin's biological son. Only recently learned the truth.
Yet still betrayed Laufey for Odin.
At least Lü Bu only killed foster fathers with his halberd.
You? Gungnir. Murdered your biological father.
Ruthless.
"Loki!"
Thor's voice suddenly rang out. He rushed into the chamber. Just witnessed Loki killing Laufey.
"Frost Giants invaded. I saved Father." Loki turned. Looked at Thor. Tone calm.
"You think I'll believe you?" Thor roared. "You scheming bastard!"
He pointed at Loki. Loudly exposed Loki's conspiracy. "You secretly brought Frost Giants here! You even sent the Destroyer to kill me and my friends for the throne!"
Frigga regained mobility. Watching Thor and Loki's dispute. Didn't know whom to believe.
"BANG!"
Loki didn't bother arguing. Swung Gungnir. An energy beam shot out. Sent Thor flying.
Thor crashed heavily. Struggled to stand.
Loki ignored him. Turned toward the Bifrost.
Bifrost control room.
Thor caught up to Loki. Watched him stand at the Bifrost console. Urgently asked. "What are you trying to do?!"
Loki turned. Face carried a hint of madness. He pointed at the console. Tone cold. "I've already calibrated coordinates. Next step—activate the Bifrost. Completely destroy Jotunheim. Kill all Frost Giants!"
"Why?!"
Thor couldn't understand Loki's actions. Eyes widened. Demanded. "Why would you do this?!"
"For Asgard."
Loki slowly spoke. Eyes complex. "I'll prove to Father I'm stronger than you. I'm Asgard's rightful king!"
Saying this, he placed his hand on the activation mechanism.
"One light press—the Bifrost activates at full power. Jotunheim completely destroyed."
Loki looked at Thor. Tone carried threat. "So you'd better not act rashly."
Thor took a deep breath. Tried using brotherhood to move Loki.
"Loki, we're brothers. Grew up together. Played together. Fought together..."
He recalled the past. Tone filled with sincerity. "Have you forgotten?"
Loki seemed touched by Thor's words. Eyes flickered. Tone softened.
"Of course I haven't forgotten. When we were kids you were so stupid. Every prank I played fooled you completely..."
He began reminiscing with Thor. Recalled childhood antics. Tone carried nostalgia.
Thor seeing this—hope ignited in his heart.
He thought Loki was persuaded. About to continue when Loki suddenly interrupted.
"Enough. Stop talking."
Loki's face suddenly filled with disgust. No longer brotherly affection.
He looked behind Thor. Tone mocking. "This brotherhood talk makes me sick. If you don't come soon, I'll run out of words."
Thor froze. Whirled around. Saw Hermione standing behind him.
"Sorry, just chatted with the Queen. Treated your mother's injuries. Accidentally came late."
Seeing Hermione arrive, Thor overjoyed. As if seeing a savior. Urgently said. "Hermione, stop Loki! He's going to destroy Jotunheim!"
He only excelled at combat. Couldn't stop Loki from activating the Bifrost. Could only try talking. But Hermione was different.
Thor had seen Hermione's endless tricks. Knew she'd have a way to stop Loki.
Hermione nodded. Indicated understanding.
However, next second—something unexpected suddenly happened.
"Expelliarmus!"
Hermione suddenly raised her wand. A red light shot out. Precisely hit Thor.
"CLANG—"
Mjolnir instantly flew from his hand. Arced through the air. Dropped in the distance.
Immediately after, Hermione waved her wand again.
"Levicorpus!"
Invisible magic sent Thor flying. Then head-down, feet-up. Suspended him upside-down in the distance.
"Hermione! You..."
Thor shocked and furious. Never expected Hermione would suddenly attack him.
He looked at Hermione incredulously. Eyes filled with anger and confusion.
"Why would you..."
He struggled to get down. But invisible magic bound him firmly midair. Couldn't descend.
"You're too naive."
Loki watched Thor's reaction. Smile gradually exaggerated.
"Haven't you figured it out? Before you arrived, I could already activate the Bifrost."
Loki pointed at the Bifrost console. "But I never moved. Know why?"
He paused deliberately. Enjoyed the confusion and fury on Thor's face.
"Because..."
Loki suddenly raised his voice. Pointed at Hermione.
"Destroying Jotunheim was never my plan from the start—it was hers!"
