That night something followed Lena home.
She felt it before she saw it.
Heavy footsteps behind her.
Breathing that wasn't human.
She turned slowly.
A woman stood in the street.
Eyes glowing faintly.
"Interesting," the woman said.
"You're the one he saved."
Lena stepped back.
"Who are you?"
The woman smiled.
"I hunt things that break the rules."
Cold fear filled Lena.
Then the air shifted.
Death appeared beside her.
His voice was suddenly dangerous.
"Leave."
The woman laughed.
"Oh I will."
Her eyes moved to Lena.
"For now."
Then she disappeared into the darkness.
Lena looked at Death.
"What was that?"
His answer was quiet.
"Trouble."
