Adam sat at the pinnacle of the city. His power was boundless, wealth limitless, influence omnipresent. Yet inside, an emptiness gnawed at him. His eyes held no joy. His heart craved only power, only greed.
The tree's shadow deepened. At night, it swirled like clouds around Adam. Every step felt as if the tree was consuming his soul, and the more power he took, the more he would lose.
One day, Adam visited his closest friends. He tried to laugh, to show joy. But deep down he felt—his laughter, his happiness, were artificial, hollow. He realized—he was losing his humanity.
Suddenly, a branch of the tree cracked, a light hitting Adam. He saw—all his most precious memories, childhood joys, love, friendships, fading like smoke. He wanted to scream, but no sound emerged.
"If I give in to greed… will I be completely lost?" Adam asked himself.
Then, an unfamiliar energy awakened inside him. In front of his eyes, the shadows took a new form. The battle between humanity and greed began.
Adam understood—if he preserved his humanity, he would lose power. If he embraced greed, he would lose his soul. The ground shook beneath him, and the air echoed with terrifying sounds.
Raising his hands, Adam whispered to himself:
"I want—both power and humanity."
The tree responded—a conflict of emptiness and strength, Adam's greatest trial yet. Shadows trembled, energy surged, and Adam felt his heart breaking.
In the darkness of night, Adam pushed himself, saying:
"I will not lose. I will save my soul."
