The entrance exam will start in five hours. Izuku could now use One for All at 10%, and You could use your wooden pole as a clutch if needed. You had gotten 'attacked' by a villain for the first time, and so you used that as an excuse for manifesting a quirk- though all rules said you shouldn't be able to.
You'd told Izuku, and he'd picked you up and spun you around, laughing. You bit your lip trying not to die because how was he so cute and DUMB at the same time? When he asked what your quirk was, you showed him your quirk- basically really strong telikenisis. Like, you could stop the air and walk on it strongly.
When Toshi left for hero business, the two of you trained your new quirks, and obviously told Kat that you'd manifested quirks. Because of your therapy and him thinking it's just how he thought now, he acted like the second holder, not like a wet pomeranian.
He was curious, but didn't actually give a fuck so didn't comment further aafter like four questions. The three of you walked into the school with determination, and you grabbed both their hands- ignoring the fact that both their faces went red- marching into the school like it owed you money(which it did).
You grinned as you sat down, watching the others situate themselves as you mentally mapped out four routes for each course, along with your theories you'd literally forced into truth. After a few minutes- 30- Mic stood in front of the microphone and started.
Not ashamed to make a fool of yourself, you cheered as wildly as you could the second he finished talking. It echoed, and you didn't even care. He recognized you as the only person with a sense of humor in the whole crowd. You nodded resolutely, even as Kat and Izu both flushed at your show of devotion to the radio man- no, not THAT radio man.
After about ten minutes of exposure, the exam started. You looked at the paper, then just paled. Of course you could do the work, but did you want to? No. So you broke the rules that you didn't know the answers and got yourself a 100 by copying answers literally generated into your mind.
You sighed, flipping over the test and leaning into Izuku(Don't worry, you made sure he would pass as well), trying to sleep. He made a squeaking sound- then remembered that All Might was here so they had to pretend to be dating. He stayed stock still like in a crime scene. You flushed slightly, but closed your eyes.
Thirty minutes later, the testing time ended and you were shaken awake by a flustered Izuku. "They're talking about the next phase," he whispered to you as you rubbed your eyes and focused again.
You smirked, grinning as President Mic explained the next phase- the practical exam. "Lsten up! We'll be starting with a simple fight!" As he explained, you internally went over the real exam.
There were two ways to get points- heroics, as in saving others and teaming up, etc. Then there were villain points, where You just beat up the 1-3 pointer robots and ran from the giant-ass zero-pointer. The person who got the most points in canon was... you guessed it, Katsuki Bakugou with a staggering 77(you thought) villain points and ZERO hero points.
You sighed, sweatdropping as Iida interrupted with his whole speech about IZuku being a weak-ass baby. You stood. "Hey, maybe if you ignored it- like every other person- you might learn what the Prez was about to say! Are you trying to convey that you are smarter than the teachers? That's adorable." You huffed, sitting back down with a thump.
Izuku was silently shaking with laughter. "Wow, you really don't know when not to talk, huh?" You shrugged. "If anyone bullies you, come to me." He smiled, scratching the back of his head. You bit your lip to stop from simping too hard- but he was so cute it was really hard.
When you got your cards- showing what arena to go to- you sweatdropped. "I got E, but aren't there four?" Izuku shrugged. "Well, see you afterwards." After a few moments, the people auditioning got seperated. You went up to President Mic. "Um, I have this. What should I do?" You asked, and he laughed.
"This basically means you were supposed to go to the recommended exam, but didn't for some reason." You blushed. "In my defense, I didn't even know I'd been recommended. I didn't get a letter, so..." He shrugged. "That's alright, there should be one more who didn't show up..." he trailed off, and some support bloke walked up.
He was tall for a freshman- maybe 5'10, 5'11. His bright white hair made him easily noticeable. "Um, I got a thing for the 'E' battle ground, but there are only four, so.." Mic explained again, and the two of you introduced yourselves. "I'm Eko Set, nice to meet you. I'm trying to get into the support course. What about you?" You smiled, twirling a strand of hair between your fingers. "I'm /Name/ Anidorret, a pleasure. The hero course is the one for me, so I hope you'll support me when I go to the front lines." You bowed quickly, and waited for your instructors to arrive in the auditorium.
The two of you shared a few more experiences, until you realized that he was probably related to the second- whatever his name was. The hair, the eyes, the slightly sarcastic but calmer Katsuki tone.
"So.. what's your quirk?" You asked after a few beats of silence. Eko grinned confidently. "I can understand anything after seeing it once. Not just the normally given information, but also any sort of creation or technology. For example, I'd say that the earring you got is about 13 years old, but you've only worn it for 10, right?" You checked. "Yup, wow that quirk is really impressive."
HE asked you your quirk. You flushed. "I have way overpowered telikinesis. It only manifested a few months ago, when I was attacked by a villain- don't worry, I'm fine. the only bad thing is that if I use it too much I get an allergic reaction." You smirked. "But yeah, I can totally be the best hero with that."
When Eko and you were sent to a separate room for a friendly competition- a nice spar- you frowned slightly. How could he fight back- except for strategy, his quirk didn't have any offensive abilities. "Um, Erasurehead-senpai?" Aizawa looked at you. You smiled. "That'd be giving me an unfair advantage, and I want it to be more of a good fight than a one sided beating."
Eko looked at you, slightly insulted. "I can fight, even without an offensive quirk, /name/-chan." You shrugged. "Well, if you wanna lose so badly." The two of you walked down to the arena together, then prepared to fight. Midnight started the fight, and you instantly immobilized him.
You took an allergy pill, then literally started shaking him until he surrendered. "I did tell you it was incredibly strong telikinesis, didn't I?" You asked, sneezing then shaking your head and looking at him. "Wow, your quirk is awesome! How long have you been training? What sort of powers have you figured out how to use? Can I be your designer?" Eko's passion for heroics were completely undeterred.
After a few seconds of shocked silence- though you could still feel Eko's breath brushing your ear- you responded. "i've been training for about three months now, I can even stop atoms in their tracks and stand on air molecules, and ABSOLUTELY you can. I'll be looking forward to it. I've also got a few designs ready, if you'll help me."
In minutes the supposed fighting arena was quiet except for slight chatter between Eko and you. It looked like the people examining your ability were kind of annoyed, so you and Eko exchanged phone numbers, then stood and waited for the next thing to do.
"I... go do that obstacle course." Aizawa indicated the glowing path to the left. You and Eko looked at each other. "Let's do this!" you grabbed his hand, then started jogging. "Let's see how fast we can do it, too, okay?" Eko nodded, his blonde-red hair bobbing as you jobbed. You giggled, and he trained his grey-green eyes on you. "Rude!"
Almost instantly, you started getting chased by two of the instructors. The two of you shared a glance, then you grabbed him and just picked him up, carrying him on your back as you started moonhopping but in real life. Just jumping on air until you were high enough by your standards and then running as fast as you could.
Izuku had helped you develop this move- if you wanted to be a front-line fighter, you had to train in the hardest conditions, so he'd help you with drills, and stuff. He really was the best friend ever- even if that wasn't exactly what you wanted. You shook out of your thoughts as a waterfall approached. You started going up, but Eko insisted that you go through it. When you obeyed, you found a little empty cardboard box. "What the..."" You picked it up with your mind, spinning it around.
What? You looked at Eko. "This looks like a normal box, but if I use my quirk..." He gasped. "That is not normal. Do not touch it." You brought it closer to you. "Why? It's just a normal box." Eko stumbled away, hiding in the small ledge. You shrugged, placing a single finger on the box.
In seconds, the world went silent. You blinked, still touching the box as you looked around. What? You looked at the waterfall- the water had paused instantly, and you realized what had happened.
You had placed a failsafe on your body if anything had happened- breaking like 23 rules in the process, as usual for anything fancy- and basically it protected you by stopping time ten seconds before destruction. You stopped touching the box. The world resumed again. You blinked at the box. "Huh." You placed it gingerly back where you'd found it. Eko stepped out of his hiding place, then the two of you hightailed it out of there as quickly as your 'quirk' would let you.
When you and Eko had finished the mazelike passage- in about 10 minutes, with your high speed and bird's eye view. Aizawa's sigh was clearly heard. "You both have one more thing to do, please head back to the waiting area."
While walking back, you and Eko shared more memories with each other. "So about your hero name, have you thought of anything?" You smirked, then nodded. "Of course, I've wanted to be a hero since I was deemed quirkless- well I guess that claim is invalid now, but does it matter? Ehhh..." Eko waited, and you shrugged. "Well, I've thought about it a lot and only two or three of my ideas fit." He nodded, still waiting. "Well? What names are they? With your quirk I'd think it has something to do with the mind, right?" You shook your head as you entered the archway.
"All right, let's do the last test," Aizawa declared as you started to speak. "This one required silent communication. You must 'infiltrate' this building, with third-years as the villains holding Midnight hostage." You looked at Eko in concern. Both of your guys' quirks sucked for this kind of thing- but maybe Eko could help plan. You thought for a moment. "The two of you have an hour to study the base and the people who will be guarding Midnight."
He handed you a map and Eko a marker, then placed a whiteboard in the center of the stage. Then he settled back in his seat to watch with other people in the staff. You thought for a moment. "Well, let's see the map." Eko pinned it to the board.
Huh. Well, that sucked. "So let's set up a scenario," You murmured, placing it on the board under magnets. "If we were the ones on defense, we'd probably place surveillance on the entrance and windows- maybe 2 or three on the roof, too. So for any of this to work, we'd need a distraction." You had an idea. "Hey Eko?" He turned to you from the large map. "how fast do you think you can make a bomb?"
...
"About 10 minutes, why- oh. Oh, that's genius!" You nodded. "I know. I know. If that is how we'll plan, we'll need at least four, right? Maybe a fifth for this?" You indicated the main room where Midnight was held. "Well, we probably won't actually need bombs, just maybe like 45 flash-bangs. Good thing I can make one every 5 minutes, huh?" He smirked, standing and rushing over to the supply room as you started mapping out 4 routes.
After a few seconds, you hesitated. "What if..." you mapped out a fifth route. It would have to be perfectly timed with the rounds of the people protecting/defending/holding Midnight hostage, but if it worked you knew how effective it would be- you'd see it first-hand when people'd attacked the Byakuya foundation and how you'd first escaped.
The memories rushed into you as you started mapping out the final route, and you froze, your red marker not even hitting the paper.
+Flashback+
You sat down, drinking tea in the perfect way, sitting and watching your parents argue again. "Elaine, I can't keep holding on to your American desires. I'm not going to let our perfect daughter be ruined by your quirkist views." Your father- a hero without a name in your eyes- stood, grabbing your twin sister and marching out of the house, slamming the door.
The person in charge of the home, your mother, sighed. She waved for a bodyguard to enter. "Send little Daliah to fetch them, and throw the two in the basement." She stood, walking over to you with a perfect posture, her violet-red hair splayed across her shoulder as she bent down to look at you, holding your cheek gently.
"You're not going to betray me, right, love?" Your breath didn't come quickly, but you responded as quickly as you could. "Yes, mother." She cooed slightly. "You're so cute, my adorable little kitten!" You forced a smile to your face as you internally sighed.Only about 11 months and still forced to act older and more mature for Elaine's pleasure.
A few moments later, she turned back to you, smacking your face hard and forcing you to tumble to the floor. "You'll not be like your worthless sister, who already manifested her quirk, will you?" You shook your head quickly, the pain forcing you into silence. She huffed, her raven-like gaze piercing the maid's. "And what are you still doing here? You must leave. My dear and I are still having a heart to heart."
The maid paled, then bowed and left as fast as possible while still being respectful. Your mother grabbed you gently off the floor and held you tight. "I love you, my dearest child." You smiled, thanking her and trying not to cry. Being part of a cult was seriously TERRIFYING, you wanted to scream.
+End of Flashback+
You jolted, shaking your head, pushing yourself into motion. After finishing with your mapping, you told Eko you were going to observe the enemies' patterns. He nodded, still focused on making as many flash-bangs and smoke bombs as humanely possible in the time limit.
When the time was up, you and Eko approached the building. Silently, you tossed Eko to the window with a gap- the only window they hadn't patrolled while you were watching. Eko latched onto the side of it, then tossed a smoke bomb in. You carried him even higher with your mind, letting his upper torso be secured in the latch they'd noticed before bursting into motion.
In 10 minutes, you'd gotten into a fight with Amijiki. You smiled at him. "Aren't you that not-UA kid? Cool!" He stared at you, his eyes widening. You attacked, immobilizing everyone in the room then grabbing Midnight and leaving for the rendezvous point.
About 15 minutes later, you'd gotten enough cable to tie everyone up- except for Mirio, he was still on the loose. You sighed, handing Midnight over to Eko as you stayed back to watch the captives.
Mirio materialized silently behind you. You knew how he fought- and knew how his quirk worked. Since he can phase through objects, he has to make himself unphasable at the moment of impact. Keeping that in mind, you sped up your perception of time and clutched a dagger you'd been allowed to bring with you.
Even with your 2x speed mind, Mirio was fast. You let him hit you- trying to see if he had to materialize his whole body to injure you. He did. So at the moment of impact, you had to strike his stomach or his head. You forced everyone's mouths shut with telekinesis, then smirked widely as you lifted up a cement block the size of your head as you continued to dodge his attacks while waiting for the opportune moment. You let him strike you again- now you were laying on your back. Mirio towered over you, then punched you in the stomach- well, at the moment of impact, you hit him in the back of the head with the block. He crumpled to the ground as you coughed out blood.
Staggering to your feet, you tied him up with the only anti-quirk rope you had. You sighed, tossing him to the other group of defenders. Eko set off the yellow-red firework that showed that he'd gotten Midnight back to the starting point. You clutched your stomach, groaning softly as you massaged it. You started untying the class 3-A. "Wow, you're really good at fighting!" You smiled, bowing in thanks. Nejire Hado walked up to you.
You flushed. "Why hello, my future-senpai-chan! I'm Anidorret, nice to meet you!" Nejire introduced herself, and you smirked, then finished untying the others and walked out with a slight limp.
When you arrived back at the base, Aizawa sighed, pinching his nose. "You both pass, congratulations. You can go home now." You bowed in thanks, then high-fived Eko and walked out with your satchel full of new autographs(Nezu had been more than accomodation with that).
You sat down, looking at Izuku with a grin as you entered his room without asking- he was shirtless, but you didn't even care. "He said that I passed!" You wrapped your arms around him, laughing as he flailed and blushed. Izuku sighed, pulling you off of him. "/Name/-chan. We need to clear something up, now." He was serious, so you released him and closed the door. "What is it?"
Izuku sat on the bed, then motioned for you to sit next to him. He thought for a moment. You tilted your head. "Well, spit it out. I won't wait forever." Izuku sighed, rubbing his eyes with the palms of his hands. "Do you have a crush on me?" He demanded after three full minutes of awkward silence.
